It makes my heart happy to tell you that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the best video games of all time, just as Breath of the Wild was in 2017 and will continue to be. The mastery that the Japanese company shows with this product makes even today's super AAAs feel like bland and empty experiences that aren't worth it. On the one hand, I'm worried about the crater that this game is going to leave and how everything we touch afterward feels tasteless, but at the same time, I'm glad that even with dozens of hours on me, I still feel like I'm There is still a lot to discover and experience, especially now that everyone will be able to fully enter. The star here is the Shadow Realm. The way this map is built plays very well with its limitations, creating a layered world that takes exploration to a new level for the series. Traveling through this open world is extremely satisfying and gives us so many options that it can even be overwhelming for some people, but at the same time it gives rise to an experience that only Tears of the Kingdom had achieved in recent years. God of War: Ragnarök is an unforgettable journey filled with epic and intimate moments that can range from slaying one of Asgard's gods, to how deep and complex the relationship between father and son is. The evolution of video games has been long and, at times, painful. Undoubtedly, one of the most important turning points was when we made the leap to 3D in the mid-1990s, which, for many, left 2D games as a thing of the past. This change brought with it profound consequences, such as a severe setback in design; video game design had to be learned almost from scratch. Fortunately for all of us, the knowledge acquired before that eventuality was quickly revisited, and today we find ourselves in a much more mature era where both styles can coexist seamlessly and even combine in crazy new ways. Hollow Knight: Silksong feels largely like the result of so much experience...Hollow Knight: Silksong largely represents the best of this form of entertainment that we are so passionate about, this in the midst of a difficult crisis for the industry that is looking everywhere to reinvent itself to become profitable again and of course, not stop this unstoppable cascade of creativity that year after year gives us great experiences on all fronts. Almost out of nowhere, this small group of Australians returns to deliver one of the most special video games I have played in a long time at a price that still sounds ridiculous to many, precisely when the conversation on this matter has taken on very intense overtones due to the sustained rise in the price of these products.

What Capcom is currently doing might seem simple, but besides seeing established companies completely lose their way, the entire industry is experiencing an air of bewilderment and uncertainty, especially regarding big-budget productions. Resident Evil Requiem is proof of many things, such as the franchise's great importance within the industry, making it clear that there is a path for AAA titles to move forward safely and profitably for those who manage the business side...A spectacular story that reconnects with the origins of the entire saga, an innovative yet classic gameplay system that perfectly modulates its pace, and a truly next-generation audiovisual presentation are just some of the elements that make Resident Evil Requiem a very serious contender for Game of the Year 2026. Capcom is on the right track with one of its flagship series and has given us a memorable adventure that will be widely discussed in the future and that, of course, places it among the highlights of this franchise.

Thanks to a spectacular gameplay system with proven ideas and well-grounded new concepts, a perfect understanding of the genres it represents, and of course, an audiovisual presentation that's truly jaw-dropping, we can say that Absolum is one of the greatest games of 2025. It arrives with a relatively low profile, despite the fact that those behind it had already proven their immense talent. Needless to say, no matter your current situation, you have to make room for Dotemu's latest release—you honestly won't regret it.

I am happy to see that Horizon: Zero Dawn is not just a huge balloon inflated with hype, but that they've really done a good job in injecting a lot of personality with good technical achievements that characterize them and also the creation of a World with interesting characters, a good campaign and so much depth in their spaces and societies that we very much crave to return in future sequels.

The Last of Us Part I is a great remake. It's not a job like Final Fantasy VII Remake or Resident Evil 2, and that's fine. It is a different experience. For everyone who loved the original game, returning to this adventure, especially with the sequel in mind, is a very worthwhile feeling, while everyone who plans to experience Joel and Ellie's journey for the first time through this version, you will have in your hands the definitive version of the best Naughty Dog game.

Monster Hunter Wilds is the best game in the series. While some fans may debate this, it's undeniable that the developers have created an experience that is accessible and retains the essence of the franchise. Its story, to the surprise of many, is captivating, and it's more than just an excuse to go out and hunt monsters, as it presents us with a specific journey with well-defined characters. Each encounter has a great weight in this adventure and you never feel like you're wasting your time. The progression is fantastic, and it's something I hope will be a constant in the future.

Reviving a name like Prince of Persia was not an easy task, but in the hands of the right team and above all, without ties from the past or meaningless rules beyond making a good video game, it has become clear to us that it can be done. achieve. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a return in style thanks to polished controls, intelligent game mechanics, sophisticated level design, a surprising story and of course, great use of current hardware. All these reasons have made me have a great time with this game that I believe will surely have an important place on our lists of the best of the year when the time comes to remember everything that 2024 left us. Ubisoft starts this period on the right foot to take a path he had forgotten about. Now it remains to stay in it.

NieR: Automata is one of the biggest surprises on the year and one hell of a game. It offers a diverse variety of genres in a well-designed title with fluid and dynamic controls and fast-paced action that never stops. On top of that, its full and rich cast of characters and well-set story makes this one of the most interesting projects we will see in 2017 and one game than no one can miss.

The last Lara Croft adventure comes with basic adjustments to its gameplay that make it an enjoyable and memorable experience. We loved the tombs, we loved the puzzles, we loved the exploration, we loved the world, we loved the combat. Even though not everything is completely perfect in Rise of The Tomb Raider, it’s a step in the right direction for the franchise. The new PS4 edition is a package full of contents, a lot of fan service to the franchise and many things to do after completing the campaign.

It goes without saying that if you already have a PS5 in your house, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is something that you simply cannot pass up, because it is precisely one of the things that justifies having spent so much on a new generation console. It is one of those games in which it hurts to progress because each time you do it, you are closer to the inevitable end.

The puzzles that Animal Well presents us are challenging enough, but at no point do they feel impossible. The level design guides us little by little, and the way in which each challenge is resolved is through experimentation. Talking about Animal Well can be a disservice to all those who wish to enter this world. My biggest recommendation is: play Animal Well. This is a magical experience that will stay in the minds of all who give it a chance, and I can't wait to see what's next for its developer.
