Braid has turned out a fine game, going for the puzzling aspect more than the platforming. Manipulating time creates a never-before-seen experience and the unique audio-visual style adds to that. Take into consideration that no hints are provided and that some levels are real brain-breakers, making this a game for the patient puzzler.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 doesn't disappoint, but doesn't meet the high expectations either. Singleplayer is intense, but short and the multiplayer is smooth, but lacks innovation. It didn't need much to begin with, since the previous multiplayer was excellent, but still... Infinity Ward can't rest on its laurels, because it's doubtful they will get away with a lack of innovation three times in a row.

Disney Jonas is a very good game IF you are a fan of the Jonas Brothers. It has its flaws, but we're not expecting Mario or Zelda quality here. Pure fun for the fans.

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans isn't the most impressive of RPG's, but the high pace and visual style of the battles makes up for what it lacks. This typical RPG with a Dragon Ball coating will probably appeal most to the fans of the series.

Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage extends what its predecessor does and delivers a more complete package. It still needs to dot the i's to become a top game though. The array of accessories is nice, but doesn't offer increased bonuses on the tracks. The biggest innovation is the Wii Motion Plus, enabling you to make your own tricks. Don't have the money to go skiing in the French Alps? Maybe this will entertain you instead.

We can wholeheartedly conclude that Dragon Age: Origins has become a masterpiece. BioWare has delivered an epic adventure that will keep you to your screen for hours on end. Beautiful fights, huge amount of skills and an abundance of content make this a true top game. A shame though that every now and again, the loading times crash the party, but nevertheless, Dragon Age: Origins is the RPG of the year.

Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier maintains the wonderful platforming gameplay of its predecessors. High Impact Games has remained faithful to the franchise and has even added challenging flying missions. It looks beautiful, plays fluently and has plenty of variety to give you hours of fun. A minor tip to High Impact Games though: Fine tune the aiming system and the camera and the next game will definitely be a classic.

Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier is a good game with here and there some setbacks. It plays smoothly, it’s fast-paced from the get go and it looks fine. There’s not much bad to say about the game, aside from some camera flaws.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is heading back into the right direction, but there's not a lot of progress yet again. It still faces a few problems and its competition, Fifa, is running away. Fans will definitely enjoy this game, but the regular football lover will probably be better off with Fifa.

Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron, like the previous games, is plagued by lousy controls, boring campaign and sad graphics. The multiplayer is okay, but doesn’t offer much novelty. The class system hasn’t received much thought, making it useless. Only the Galactic Conquest is worth it, but that’s only a small ray of light in an otherwise grim game.

C.O.P. The Recruit may not be a GTA killer, but it it's not a hopeless GTA wannabe either. Its unique shooting controls and its mission variety make this game worthy to check out.

Dragon Age: Origins is a sturdy RPG, with plenty to do to keep you coming back to the world of Ferelden again and again. Bioware has claimed it is the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate, but the console version has to admit defeat to the superior classic. Despite several dull patches on the sword, Dragon Age: Origins still cuts the opposition in half easily.

SI Games has made good on its promise. Football Manager 2010 is the best Football Manager ever. The depth is unrivalled and it's all much user-friendly now thanks to a new interface and many aids. Despite a few bugs and the uninspired interviews and team talks, many aspiring managers will love playing the king of manager games for many months to come.

Finally they have their own adventure and Ubisoft has managed to deliver. Rabbids Go Home showcase the rabbids to the fullest. They remain stupid and the local population will get to know them for that. If they ever reach the moon? Buy the game and find out. All I can say is that they are darn resilient.

The technical flaws and the sensation that it’s a pc-port clearly define the feel of the game. And it’s not a good feeling. It feels like this game is worth its place in the budget line of the X360, but not as a pc-game, at least not like this. Luckily, you won’t be charged full price for this game, giving it a better price-quality balance. In some areas, the game tries to compete with the best of the genre, and that makes you see the imperfections even more. The best part is found in the game’s extravagance and its specific style, but not everyone will love it.

Ghostbusters: The Videogame isn’t a bad game, but had more potential. Empty levels, ghosts that move too fast for the psp to move along and the sound show the symptoms of an average port. The gameplay itself is rather varied and the cutscenes are wonderful. Too bad the PSP didn’t get its own version of the game.

FIFA Manager 2010 is too shallow as a purely tactical coaching game to entice the real fans of the genre. However, the game has so many other aspects to lure in the more casual gamer. If you can create a gaming experience that suits you from all the possible options, then this game is worth a purchase.

Dj Hero has become a music game that makes you scream for more. Thanks to the controller, it really makes you feel like you're the DJ. On top of that, the music in the game really excels. Tiny blemishes are the price tag and the lack of a freestyle-mode.

There's not a lot of innovation in Forza Motorsport 3, but that's not necessary anyway. The third in the series flies across the race track, leaving the competition far behind on every level. Highly recommended for every race game lover.

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time adds new bits and pieces to the good old gameplay, but mainly excels with its fantastic and addictive adventure, amazing graphics and insane humour. On top of that, there's a lot more to do and to collect in this title than the previous installments. Sony was probably hoping for a successful tag team in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time this fall. There's only one reply to that: Mission accomplished.

Despite EA’s consideration of the previous title’s flaws, the experience in SimAnimals Africa is coming short. First impression and atmosphere are good, but then boredom kicks in. Petting is a chore and there’s not enough stimulus to keep going. A lack of depth and the repetitive nature of the minigames are to blame. There’s a base to make a good animal sim, but that’s all there is to say.

Fairytale Fights is a marriage between fairy tales and hack&slash. Setting-wise, there's not much to falter. It definitely stands out amongst the other titles being released. Yet, there is a bloody divorce looming over the game. Its gameplay plummets straight down the abyss. Every step you take, brings you closer to another useless death. Considering its own qualities and the qualities of the other games releasing at this point, we fear Fairytale Fights' future is rather grim.

Ben 10: Alien Force - Vilgax Attacks is for the majority of the audience a game that should be ignored, but for young gamers and Ben 10-fans, this game is more than sufficient and above all a worthy game to learn the skills for more complex games.

Kids and the so-called casual gamer will undoubtedly eat this Eyepet up like candy. It looks adorable and its interaction gives it something unique in today's market. Unfortunately, it doesn't always respond as it should and the whole is a bit lacklustre, although you can buy additional downloadable content already.

It has turned out to be a surprisingly good game, perfectly combining several platforming elements with physics-based puzzles. Add some RPG, co-op and moody graphics and sound to the mix and you can say this game is to be recommended. Too bad there’s no online co-op and that the trophies are a bit easy to get.

Borderlands offers an interesting FPS gameplay, with a healthy dose of RPG elements woven into it. It has addictive gameplay, item fever and a world full of funny and interesting characters. On top of that, you get an amusing co-op mode and an unequaled audiovisual rendition. A great game for both shooter lovers and (action) RPG fans.

Tropico 3 has turned out to be a nice management sim that fans of the genre will love. The gameplay mechanics are elaborate, the economic and political systems are well done and it looks like a charm. The micromanagement can be annoying due to lack of information, but luckily it's never entirely frustrating. Looking for a good sim? Tropico 3 is definitely not a bad choice.

Almost all fans of Dragon Ball will love Revenge of King Piccolo. The only annoying downside is that not all conversations have voice-overs, which makes you miss out on some of the typical humour. The gameplay feels a tad old, especially since you can compare it to Double Dragon. Personally, I loved that, since it's simple and addictive, whether you like Dragon Ball or not.

WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2010 adds a lot of options to the series, but seems to miss that the essence of the game - the fights and the atmosphere surrounding it - go further than a fun entrance and some flashy moves. People who are not really skilled at performing fast combinations, will find this WWE Smackdown vs RAW 2010 perfect. People looking for more, should wait for the next in the series.

This game is the most complete Fifa you will encounter thus far. It feels more natural and the gameplay changes are implemented perfectly. A shame that the eternal aches remain and that the Manager Mode is a bit lackluster. In the end, Fifa 10 will convince more people and will be played longer. Pro Evolution Soccer has been warned: Fifa 10 is going straight for the title, with excellent and beautiful football.

Chinatown Wars will never go down in history as a 'big' GTA-title, but nevertheless, it deserves a place in your PSP collection. It's a GTA with its own character and its own pair of balls. Besides, during these dark ages for PSP gaming, there aren't a lot of PSP games that win our hearts.

As expected, Bakugan is a game for the fans. Collecting Bakugan, the cards and learning how to use them correctly, is what it’s all about. Those who do not know what bakugan is, will enjoy it all the same, although the repetitive fighting system and a lack of true action will quickly lead to boredom.

Astro Boy: The Video Game is a game that never should have been released. It’s evidently been made to quickly cash in on the movie tie-in. Boring gameplay, bad controls and a confusing storyline are just some of the lousy aspects. Flying missions are head and shoulders above the rest, but are quality-wise nowhere to be compared with other two dimensional shooters. Astro Boy is astronomically bad and needs to be avoided at all cost.

Do you enjoy a good-looking game with simple controls and plenty of challenge? Then try LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, especially if part one captured your heart. Frontier is building on the formula and manage to get an exquisite result. I can't wait for part three and perhaps a full disc-based adventure.

Brütal Legend is the perfect ode to heavy metal. Everything reminds you of the music genre and that's how the game sucks you in effortlessly. Once you come into contact with the gameplay however, some notes are a bit off key. In order for the group to top the charts in the future, it would be a good idea to kick out the bass player (RTS) and to give the spotlight to the lead singer (hack&slash).

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a rollercoaster ride from start to finish. The singleplayer is handled to perfection and the multiplayer – despite some minor irritations – will push its lifespan tremendously. If you want to claim that you’ve played all the best games of this generation, then Uncharted 2: Among Thieves has to be in your collection. There’s only two questions remaining: Naughty Dog, where’s Uncharted 3? Gamers, why aren’t you in the store already to buy this gem?

For people who haven't played an Olympic Mario & Sonic, this might bring several hours of entertainment, even though some disciplines get boring too quickly. However, if you've played the previous version, a "been there, done that" feeling will soon pass over you.

Magna Carta II has turned out to be a fun game for the JRPG lovers out there. Realtime gameplay is handled well, there’s a lot to discover and it’s graphically adequate. Voice acting and story could've been done better, but it’s a common illness in this type of game. Whoever is looking for a fluent JRPG can add Magna Carta II to his wish list.

If you can’t handle Pokémon, stay away from this one. Same goes for those who have Explorers of Time and / or Explorers of Darkness, because there’s not much added value in this Explorers of Sky. Diehard fans will enjoy themselves and if you have missed the previous titles, then Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky will offer you a tasteful dungeon crawler in a Pokémon jacket.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising strikes a good balance between tactical sim and action. Its fluent gameplay is addictive, the missions are varied and it impresses graphically. Despite room for improvement, this game comes recommended for those who loved the original and for those gamers who're looking for something different than the abundance of contemporary "Rambo"-games.

Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes looks like a previous-gen title and doesn't convince content-wise either. A lousy camera, stubborn controls make the eternal stream of lives a must. It feels kiddy and your friend's AI is so bad that you thank the heavens for its co-op ability. With the sheer volume of hit games coming, we fear that Lucas won't be able to find a lot of gamers willing to purchase this game.

SAW has turned out to be a game for the fans of the movies. It portrays the atmosphere quite well, but unfortunately, the gameplay is lacking. We can recommend the game to gamers who just can’t get enough of Jigsaw and his deadly games. A missed opportunity.

NBA 2K10 is without a shadow of doubt the best basketball experience you will find at the moment. Realistic graphics and animation, very decent gameplay and numerous modes and options will satisfy your basketball fantasies for many months to come. A few minor annoyances are what keeps NBA 2K10 away from being a classic.

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising will definitely please the fans of the series. The average player will stumble over the annoying radial and the difficulty. If you really want to enjoy this game, we suggest you go for the pc multiplayer, which undoubtedly will play more fluently than any console version.

RACE On looks dated, but the quality beneath the hood can’t remain hidden for long. For a budget price you’re getting probably the most realistic racing game on pc at the moment. It may not suit the big audiences, but race fans that haven’t gotten any of these titles, will indulge themselves in the many options this game offers.

Wii Fit Plus can definitely be viewed as a marked improvement of the first game, especially if you can deal with the fact that it's more of an update than a sequel. Where Wii Fit was lacking in several areas, Wii Fit Plus brings us an elaborate sporting sensation, with an abundance of Balance Games and new functions.

All in all, Obscure: The Aftermath isn’t a bad game. The combination of horror and college humour works fine and the action is interrupted at regular intervals with puzzles and minigames. The detailled graphics and the wonderfully dynamic music add greatly to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, some erroneous design choices detract from the game, making it less than the big title it could’ve been.

Beaterator is a good music programme for the PSP. It offers a decent platform for those starting and the experienced producer will have plenty to do. Those experienced people will move onto the pc for the more advanced software, but Beaterator is the perfect thing for the road.

Visceral games shows that there is a place for mature games on the Wii and that it’s not just a partycrasher device. Dead Space Extraction is a marvelous railshooter, with the perfect mix between action and enthralling story. Fans of Dead Space will be forced to buy a Wii though, as this game won’t appear on other consoles. Not that I mind, as I’m glad my Wii finally has something mature to handle. Railshooter aside, it fits perfectly into the staple of a survival – horror shooter.

MySims Agents is without a doubt the best of the series and manages to appeal to a wide audience. Don't let the childish appearance fool you, because the game will hook you for several hours. The actual gameplay is perhaps a tad repetitive and the missions a bit linear, but it's packaged beautifully and served with a catchy story, that the whole comes recommended.

All in all, Bigbig Studios has made a good PSP game. It’s not as good as its big brothers on the PlayStation 3, but it brings a complete racing experience to the handheld. Above all, it gives you bundles of fun, despite some mistakes, such as the nitrous boost and the difficulty at the beginning of the game.

It's a bit too early to say whether NCSoft has got a lasting hit on their hands, but it looks to turn out that way. Even though some features lack depth, Aion is without a doubt one of the most solid MMORPG's we've seen in recent years.

The unusual Japanese setting and surreal atmosphere will surprise some people, even pushing them away. Rest assured though, the game can give you hours of fun. The replayability is rather low, seeing how the multiplayer is only for offline use only, which is a pity. We can’t call this game a hit, but the original setting and rather addictive gameplay earns it a well-deserved score of 73.

WET is a action adventure you won’t find very often. The acrobatics are cool, but it’s something you need to do constantly. It breaks the pace of the game and aiming isn’t very fluent. Still, you’re getting plenty of diversity. You get quick-time events requiring focus and a Rage Mode that gives a different feel to the gameplay. It’s game you have to appreciate or it’s best to leave it.

A huge open world, addictive gameplay, varied multiplayer settings and entertaining graphics create a game that many action lovers will enjoy for hours. Don’t come looking for depth, since that’s not the game’s goal. Red Faction: Guerrilla gives you death and carnage to your heart’s delight.

Need for Speed: Shift puts EA in the right direction, but they haven’t quite gotten there yet. We suspect the name to quickly change to Need for Speed: Drift. The badge system, the race-missions and the presentation are nice, but looking at the most important part – gameplay – the game is still lacking. Unfortunately, Need for Speed: Shift will see the competition drive off in the distance.

Resident Evil 5 doesn't exactly add much novelty to the series, but it's a heck of an action game nonetheless. Audio-visually it's a gem and the puzzles and the survival aspect create the needed diversity. The bosses are impressive, to say the least. Capcom has finally discovered how to port a console game to a pc in a decent way. This game comes highly recommended.

If you love intense, hectic dogfights, you will not be disappointed by Heroes over Europe. The authenticity of the planes is rendered beautifully, but this is marked contrast with the appalling ground detail. Take the difficult controls into consideration, since they will not sit well with everyone.

NHL 2K10 isn't a bad game, but lacks depth. The Franchise Mode isn't developed well enough and it all feels a bit too arcade-ish, which probably wasn't 2K Sports' goal. Slow action on the ice degrades the sense of speed. Graphically it looks good, but the gameplay needs work. Luckily, the online and offline multiplayer helps it a bit.

This is clearly a game for the comic fans and the beat-em-up lovers. If you appreciate both, then this game might be up your alley. Extensive list of characters, different storylines and co-op make this a game with high replay value. The average beat-em-up lover however, will probably think the amount of characters and the hectic, monotonous (and easy)fights are a bit much.

Scribblenauts will make you think, even if it's only to realize the name of that one particular object you need. It starts out easy, but gradually, the challenge becomes greater. It's a lovely game for those who are on the road or when there's nothing on the television again.

Mini Ninjas will come as a surprise to many. It is a joy because of its fun and refreshing gameplay elements. The game will suit those who love adventure games the most.

Section 8 is a decent shooter which doesn’t really excel in a particular field. If you’re craving multiplayer and teamwork, the game won’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a game with a deep story, a beautiful single-player campaign and run-and-gun tactics, move along.

SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny is a wonderful fighting game for the PlayStation Portable. It equals the number of fighters in SoulCalibur IV and the quality of fighting resembles that game as well. The lack of a real storyline and online multiplayer hurt it though. If you don’t care for these two features, feel free to add five percent to the score.

A solid MMORPG which needs another year to get to its full potential. That’s how you could describe Champions Online. It’s definitely worth a shot if you’re looking for a change from the traditional games. The elaborate character creator and the comic setting make it hard not to love the game. Content-wise, especially in the long run, the game isn’t quite there yet. Only fourty levels and five large areas mean that there’s not a whole lot to see. One might want to wait for content updates before diving into the adventure. At the moment it’s merely a snack, waiting to become a huge hit in the long run.

Cursed Mountain is a decent action adventure with plenty of horror to keep you up at night. The pace could've been a tad higher, but the atmosphere more than makes up for that error. Add good voice-overs and a captivating story and you'll know what Deep Silver provided us with this Cursed Mountain.

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is a game that won't please the majority of the audience. It's a bit in between genres. Fighter fans will feel there are too many rpg elements, while RPG fans will feel it lacks depth. Square Enix also assumes that everyone knows the entire Final Fantasy history, catering this game towards the fans. Everyone else should try this game before buying it.

Now that the trilogy has been brought together, there is no more excuse not to try it out. You’ll have to get used to the controls, but considering the technical improvements – shorter loading times – you will soon be on a wondrous Metroid Prime adventure. Make sure to have a clock nearby, because this game will make you lose track of time.

There's no doubt that Professor Layton supplies what puzzlers need. With over 150 puzzles - some of which are real brain breakers - you'll have plenty to do. Those that hang in there, will get a pleasant surprise. All this is accompanied by a enticing storyline, one that is delivered wonderfully with all the cut scenes and the numerous conversations.

Shadow Complex has turned out to be a very good game. It combines a strong story with nice graphics, sublime sound and addictive gameplay. The game isn’t perfect, but the good far outweigh the bad that it becomes a must-buy for every fan of action games. 1200 Microsoft Points is hardly much, considering you get more than what you pay for.

Wolfenstein will not enter history as a great game. It introduces some interesting new features, but those aren’t matched by the weak story and the poor multiplayer. The name Wolfenstein will sell, but don’t focus on that though.

The conclusion is simple: buy it. That’s my advice to anyone owning a Xbox 360. Trials HD sets out something really simple, but oh so addictive, especially when trying to beat your friends. Before you know it, you’ve spent another several hours on this game.

Still Life 2 is a nice game and mainly impresses with its plot, atmosphere and music. The dark levels and scar music add to the feel of the game. Being able to play both sides of the story is a nice addition. Graphics seem to have been stuck in time, but the decent gameplay makes up for it. A game like this isn’t played for its very realistic graphics, but to challenge the brain and to get stuck in the mood. It doesn’t have any replay value, but for the price of thirty euro’s you can’t go wrong. Fun title for fans of the genre.

This remake excels in its level choice, as it is fun to travel through time with the Turtles. Unfortunately, its execution is a bit too modest. Repetitive attacks and sounds are a killjoy. Whether it’s worth its 800 Microsoft Points is highly personal, but don’t forget that the Story Mode only takes about an hour.

Fat Princess is definitely a hit and worthy addition to the PlayStation Store. The humour in the game and the simple class system creates a new experience. Unfortunately, the continuous in-game chaos can ruin the fun sometimes. No one should be deterred from its unique graphical style, as Fat Princess is a game for everyone looking to have some fun online here and there.

Aliens in the Attic isn’t a bad game, but way to repetitive and monotonous for frequent gamers. Kids may appreciate it more, provided they are not left-handed.

The Conduit is finally a high-end shooter for the Wii. High Voltage Software has really tried to get the maximum out of the console while still offering a wonderful game. Hopefully, more developers will follow this example and we can get more new franchises that achieve a certain level. The Conduit has several things going for it to be called a classic, but it still lacks several things left and right to belong to that category.

Still haven’t played Resident Evil after all these years? This is the perfect moment to try it. Don’t expect an easy game, but a wondrously horrid atmosphere in one of the groundbreaking titles of the horror – survival genre. In comparison with the Gamecube version, you won’t get a lot of new things, but this classic doesn’t need many extra’s.

Even though there’s a cute storyline running through all the missions, there’s still the impression that more was possible. The circuits are short, some of the missions way too easy and the opposition… isn’t there. The style of the game matches the MySims-world and together with the music MySims Racing fits those people who love these characters, perfectly. Fun, but not great.

Indiana Jones and the Staff of kings is an average action adventure completely ruined by annoying controls. It remains fun to swing around with Indy and his whip, tackling opponents along the way. The levels are also varied enough, giving you some satisfaction. Best of all is actually the addition of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, a game that every self-respecting gamer needs to play.

The Munchables is a typical game for in between. Empty your mind and eat everything that comes in your way. It could've lasted longer, but it was a fun ride while it lasted. Namco Bandai is hopefully working on a sequel or maybe even a new Pacman, because there are a lot of possibilities with this gameplay.

You'll either love it or hate it. If you can let the bizarre world and characters entice you, you will get your money's worth. Its flawed gameplay will annoy most people though. If you're open-minded, you might appreciate this unique experience. Try out the demo and decide for yourself if you want to purchase this decently-priced game.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World has finally walked its way to Europe. Fans of the original will have to get used to some changes, but all in all it’s a worthy sequel with a well-written – albeit slow – story. The fighting system is decent, although the option to tame beasts feels a bit superfluous, despite their use in battle. Visually, it’s full of atmosphere, where it gets the aid of the music and the voice acting. If you’re looking for an RPG and you haven’t imported the American version, then this game isn’t a bad choice. Do know that it ’s not perfect.

Combine the sub-par sound with the repetitive gameplay and you'll quickly get bored with Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility. The combination of English text with Japanese text bubbles largely passes by on the intended age group of young gamers in the Benelux. The one somewhat addictive aspect is making your farm bigger and finding a partner. Finding a good balance between social life and farm life is what this title is about. Fans of the series will love it: a farm life sim, which could've turned out so much better.
