This is one of the most ambitious time management games in recent months. With lots of humour, a fairly deep and tactical turn based fight management, a whodunit for good measure and an inspired 16-bit-retro-fell to it, Punch Club will draw you in. But within all the movie quotes and references you’ll also find a great amount of grind.

While this add-on shows some deficit on the amount of the content, what you actually get, shows the high production value you got used to from Blizzard. The pricing is arguable, though.

The well-told campaign is a little short, but this is compensated for by a plethora of things you can do offline. Unfortunately none of the extra battle modes are available in versus mode, while the online battles suffer from balancing issues. Nonetheless: If you’re tired of Street Fighter or Tekken it’s time to let the superheroes take care of business.

While the core mechanics hardly make any progress, in terms of storytelling Origins is definitely worthy of concluding the Arkham trilogy in thrilling fashion.

The tense atmosphere aged well and still delivers exciting moments two years after the 360 release, while the explosive action is still better than most of recently released shooters.

At first glance Swordigo is simple and ugly. But under the surface you'll find a competent and challenging adventure, that reminds you of early Zeldas: A lot of combat, a lot of exploring, the occasional puzzle and a huge world.

EA Sports FC 24 fits seamlessly into the quality of FIFA games. Visually it plays at a high level, but new game content is more noticeable in details than in the general gaming experience.

If you are looking for a more than competent twinstick-shooter for your VR headset, this is it. Plus you’ll get the new VR level which turns out to be a BattleZone light. Not too shabby.

It will take a little to get used to the coordinated chaos that is PlanetSide 2. But the more time you spend on Auraxis the more fun you will have. If only the artdesign and engine performance were optimized.

Even in this puzzle disguise Agent 47 stays true to his roots, but relies too heavily on trial and error.

Death Squared is a really good cooperative puzzler. But be warned: You have to communicate, so be prepared, if you play it with your partner...

It doesn’t pull you in with the same force as Darkest Dungeon does, but this a more than decent alternative. If you like your turn-based tactics mixed with a hefty does of science fiction, this is definitely for you.

This is one of my multiplayer favorites when it comes to VR shooters. The free climbing and gliding empowers a tense and technically clean battle for survival in VR. But it shows flaws in terms of content and variety.

A visually crisp shooter package with an interesting campaign, enthralling maps and intensive Zombie skirmishes. In each of these three areas a little more content overall would have worked wonders. A solid cohort, but definitely inferior to Infinity Wards Modern Warfare from last year.

Northgard looks good and plays well on Switch. The building strategy sports a clever control scheme and ships with all updates. Nonetheless it still keeps some minor flaws.

A successful return to the franchises beginnings. The dramatic campaign gives you a lot of variety. The multiplayer feels a bit outdated with its well-known modes, but is saved by the impulses from the War mode.
