I'm a sucker for character customization so I really liked messing around with the outfits (I settled on a kind of hipster office worker rendition of Jason Voorhees wielding a battle axe). The combat is a tad simple, but it's interesting to try and predict the other user's moves before the match even starts. And blocking a really nasty attack always satisfies. As does unlocking new gear.

Action-heavy, reflex-dependent games that feel good on mobile are hard to come by, which is all the more reason to celebrate One Finger Death Punch II. Silver Dollar Games makes it look easy. Although this mobile version isn't quite up to par with the others, One Finger Death Punch II is still a satisfyingly brutal experience well worth checking out.

A great, yet flawed, addition to the farming style games available on the market. If you find that games such as Farmville, Animal Crossing, and Harvest Moon are your cup of tea, then Astro Ranch is a definite purchase.

If you're a Monopoly fan, but just want the classic experience instead of the Here & Now edition, you should find little at fault with EA's latest port. Personally, I like it a lot better than the board game because it's so much faster: no fumbling for dice, no calculations to do.

Setting up traps can get a bit tedious at times, but watching the bunny get flung, squashed, burned, and pummeled in different way is quite entertaining. Cartoon bunny lovers may want to pass on this one, though.

The game may be easy and inaccurate, sure, but I still couldn't stop.

Its historical significance aside, Dragon Quest 1 is a fun, campy, difficult, thoroughly old-school RPG.

Since the majority of my guild mates don't seem to play much, if at all, Immortalis almost feels more like a single player game with an internet connection requirement than an online one. That's not to say it isn't fun even without much peer participation but I could only imagine it becoming all the more formidable if the social interactions got a little more prolific.

I'm not a real-time strategy guy - not by a long shot. So the fact that I enjoy Castle Raid as much as I do is a powerful statement.

The lack of an option to play a match with a random opponent severely limits the game's playability though so players should make sure to share the game with their friends if they plan on playing it much. The game looks great, it's simple, and the matches are satisfying.

Agent A is such a different thing from most other adventure games that I've played, and that's mostly a good thing. It doesn't have the most challenging puzzles out there. In fact, I found myself occasionally bypassing steps of puzzles because I figured things out before I was supposed to. That said, it's still inventive and does a great job of making you feel like a really smart super spy as you play it.

Mini Golf MatchUp is a fun, easy to play, casual game. Playing online is effortless and the golf courses are designed to be both challenging and interesting. I definitely recommend giving this app a try, and since it’s free, there’s no downside to downloading it.

Good fun, even though it's not Easter any more. It's a simple concept but one that throws a fair few challenges your way making for a satisfying experience. It's also great to see more Universal apps at a low price point.
