Whenever I download an app, I will usually delete it in about two weeks or so because the repetition bores me. However, this is a great game that I always come back to play. Here's why!
Gameplay:
The controls are fluid and simple. Casual and Hardcore gamers will be at ease playing with the layout that is provided.This game requires you to have a certain sense of timing in order the hit the ball well. If timed correctly, you could possibly hit a home run. There's definitely a level of skill involved in this game. As a pitcher, you must memorize your pitches and throw them in a location to force the batter to swing late or early. Also included in this game, are "super" batters and "super" pitchers. The CPU usually substitutes one in when they are close to scoring or if it's a close game. It adds some dynamic gameplay, while testing your skills. Occasionally, you will experience a few minor glitches, such as your screen freezing for about 10 seconds and then resuming normally. The developer no longer updates this game, which is very unfortunate.
Graphics/Appearance:
The presentation of this game is phenomenal. The characters are cartoony, the color palette is vibrant, and the animations are fantastic. Although, the backgrounds are nice, they are very repetitive. The game includes a day-to-night cycle, however, it can rarely be seen while playing.
My League:
I singled this particular game mode out because it's fun and has a lot of depth! You can decide between being a pitcher or batter. They allow you to decide your skin color, pitching or batting style, and whether you are right or left handed! You begin as a rookie and you have to work your way up to becoming a superstar! Two things you'll notice in this mode are Morale and Popularity. Morale dictates how your character is feeling. Every loss drops his morale and every win increases it. It also decreases whenever you practice, so keep in mind how much you have! Practicing with low morale could cause you to get injured and have to spend money at the hospital. Popularity dictates your ability to practice super pitching or super batting! Once added to your repertoire, you can use them during emergencies! This mode keeps track of your stats, including ERA, W's, L's, etc! You can also attend "events," such as dating, fan meetings, and even baseball school. The only downside is that it's better to spend your time practicing, rendering these extra features useless.
Game Modes:
You can play from a range of different game modes, including My League, Season, Exhibition, Match Play and more. Most of your time will spent playing My League, Season, and Match Play. If you thoroughly complete "My League" with a couple of pitchers and batters, your experience with this game will be a lot smoother! From there, you can transition your "superstars" to the Season mode. It's fun to play, and has a lot of depth as well. In Match Play, you play against other people's teams! This is the most challenging game mode since you'll play against other "superstar" pitchers and batters!

I recommend this game for casual and hardcore gamers! I am not even a baseball fan, but I enjoy this game! It has a lot of replay value and is very addictive! Pick this game up, especially since it's so cheap!… Expand
