Satellina requires quick thinking and twitchy fingers, and it's pretty fun.

Lost Within isn't as spooky as it'd like to be, but it is an interesting horror story.

Pivvot is a game of strategic avoidance that takes the frantic challenge of Super Hexagon and makes it just a bit more cerebral.

For fans of fighting games that want some new portable pugilism with projectiles, Street Fighter X Tekken is a great choice, if only because it's the best looking entry yet, and it supports the iPad! Hallelujah!

Go Home Dinosaurs brings an unexpected mixture of gameplay elements to tower defense, but they all work together beautifully.

If you can get past the warm-and-fuzzies, I think you'll find Floe to be a pretty solid puzzle game. The accelerometer based control system makes it a no-go on most morning commutes, but Floe would work fairly well in the comfy confines of your favorite couch.

Match Panic is simple yet addictive fun that the kids can easily pick up and enjoy, but is challenging and addictive enough that adults shouldn't pass up on the game, even if the icon for the game is a panda with a frog on its head.

My only complaint would be that load times can seem a little long for when I'm trying to get a quick game in during a commercial break on television or something, but it's certainly worth waiting for - it's also totally understandable when considering the detail in the levels that's been squeezed onto our little devices.

Don't expect to make any masterpieces in Sketch Nation Studio, but the value here is in enabling the creativity of users. It's about taking a silly idea to fruition easily, and reveling in the creation of others along with it. Who knows, maybe the creator of the next great game will find their way into making the next great game thanks to Sketch Nation Studio, thanks to its accessible creation tools.

With all of the mini-games, items, equipment and storyline, Juggernaut: Revenge of Sovering is one of the better and most complex RPGs I've seen on the App Store in a while.

Those willing to dive in to a tower defense game that's ready and willing to be deep should check it out as well. This is one of the best $2.99 (plus in-app purchases for currency) values on the App Store.

Even with the knowledge that Pixel People has no real meat to it and is about as "fun" as browsing someone's Facebook page I still have a hard time putting it down. Heck, the whole time I've been typing this I've been itching to get back to discovering new jobs. I can't quite explain why but this is definitely one time-waster worth checking out.

Even with the relatively short gameplay, WackyLands Boss is well worth the $0.99 asking price. The level of polish alone is worth the price of admission, and getting to pound the heads of hundreds upon hundreds of little human soldiers just puts the game over the top.

Cuboid Free might be in need of more discernable camera options, but other than that it's a great little puzzle game. One that even manages to avoid the pitfalls of gated freemium for the most part.

TipTop's plot is linear…a bunch of stupid, well-meaning heroes are on a quest to save the world. But the game itself is incredibly fun to play. The controls are good, the tempo is quick, the artwork is fantastic, and the sense of humor present in the plot just makes it even more fun.

Having a game that I can't play for X number of hours just drives me nuts, and if I'm going to spend money, I'd rather get a game that brings me constant enjoyment.
