Gear.Club is a cool racing game that takes what's great about Forza and places it into a serviceable, mobile form. If some of its menus and mechanics were streamlined a little better, it could be truly great. Until then, Gear.Club is a pretty great racing game that's a little to cumbersome to bother with.

Mushroom 11 is a creative puzzle game that challenges you to repeatedly experiment with its physics to succeed. Although there may be some instances where things behave the way you don't expect, the penalties for failure are minimal. That doesn't mean Mushroom 11 won't test your patience (it will), but the game's clever puzzle design makes the whole experience worth it.

Beholder is a fascinating game that gives you a cool, clockwork world to play around in. It also tells a story about the difficulties of living in a totalitarian state, but some of that can be overshadowed by the depth of the game's mechanics and the ease with which you can undo decisions you've made. It's still a game worth playing and experiencing, but perhaps one that won't stick with you after you've played through it.

If you played and liked Darkest Dungeon on PC, picking up the tablet edition is a no-brainer. For five bucks, you can take your dungeon-crawling on-the-go, and even continue adventures you've started on the PC by exporting your save file via Dropbox. That said, Darkest Dungeon certainly isn't for everyone. It feels like a game that wants to beat you down by throwing its systems at you. This can be fun to a point, but it also makes the game feel pretty oppressive and downright random. Considering the game is about fighting off eldritch horrors, this makes a certain amount of sense, but it also makes for a less fun game experience.

PAKO 2's style carries it a long way, particularly when you first start playing it. As you get further into the experience though, the more you feel like there should be some amount of additional depth. The stuff that is in PAKO 2 currently is good and–more importantly–very cool. It would just be a more satisfying game if there were more to it.

Even if you think Gwent is more than an over-engineered mini-game, the mobile version of Thronebreaker leaves some things to be desired.

This puzzle game mixes pool, mini-golf, and a bunch of video game nonsense and produces mostly good (and occasionally confusing) results.

Chu Chu Rocket is a faithful port of the 2000 Dreamcast puzzle game to iOS, where players lay down arrows to guide mice into their rocket, and cats away from that same rocket.

Ragdoll Blaster 3 is a great return to a franchise that laid relatively dormant over the past couple of years. The heart of the game is as addictive as ever, and the new envrionmental aspects are great additions. Physics puzzlers fans need to check this out.

A peaceful, zen-like calm often overtook me as I weaved in and out of the curtains of flaming death that the level-ending bosses would send my way. CAVE has put together one hell of a gateway drug here.

Win or lose, Respawnables is still an incredibly fun and addicting shooter. It's a bit unbalanced no matter which mode players decide to mess around with but none of that hampers that all-important character progression.

Blade Lords does get points for really trying to do something different with the one-on-one combat experience by going down a familiar route. While I'd like to see less monetization influence and more pure fighting game influence added, this is still interesting enough to check out for fighting fans.

Papa Sangre really is one of the most unique games out there on the App Store. It's clever use of binaural audio and Hollywood quality voice acting and sound makes it a game that I will show off again and again to my friends.

It has an overall polish that you can't find in many games on the App Store, especially in the monster truck racing department. Unfortunately, with the lack of any kind of upgrade element, the game won't hold the interest of many hard core racing fans, but with an abundance of casual gamers out there, this one may be a winner anyway.

If you're a Monopoly fan, but just want the classic experience instead of the Here & Now edition, you should find little at fault with EA's latest port. Personally, I like it a lot better than the board game because it's so much faster: no fumbling for dice, no calculations to do.

Very little skill is required to get through Castlevania Puzzle, just a burning desire to level your character up and get more weapons. Honestly, if you took the Match 3 aspect out of the game and just turned the battles into a standard turn based RPG affair, or even just simulated it all with no graphics, I would be much happier.

Aside from my micromanagement woes, I like the path that Legendary War takes with the graphics and the story. Both are rich with detail, but not so crazy that you don't know what's going on. In other words, it's pretty and in-depth, but never confusing or hopeless.
