BattleSpell is an enjoyable card battling game but one that lacks something crucial – multiplayer.

Creature Academy is cute, but its gameplay might be too simplistic to appeal to RPG fans.

Max Blaster might keep the kids happy for a while with its florescent visuals and faux-3D graphics, but in reality this just feels like a rehash of most other available space shooters.

Pocket Festival is not completely bad for a freemium title but it could be better. It starts off as being entertaining, but be prepared for the game to go from a rocking good time to just another builder that does little to impress.

Zombie High Dive is a fun idea with an appropriate physics engine, but it's hampered by a very frugal energy system.

Agents of Storm might look pretty, but it's a game you've played before. A lot.

This retro homage to one of the Atari's earliest dungeon crawlers is a bit too retro for its own good.

Scuttle comes in at minimum price and while it doesn't match the fun of its premise the issues won't bother you too much through its 54 levels. There are a plethora of better quick fix games out there, but not that many snooker or pool types. And hey, as far as I'm aware it's the only prehistoric pool game out there – I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong on that – so that's got to count for something.

At least the presentation is refreshingly relaxing. The game's crisp and gentle visuals and animations recall old pop-up books. Meanwhile, the music is cheerful, bombastic, and totally infectious. Between that and its relatively fun, speed-driven gameplay, Alpaca Farm definitely has its positives. Too bad none of them are deep or satisfying enough to make up for its aggravating negatives. If possible, get a real alpaca instead.

Doing away with the entertaining rag-doll physics of the previous game, Wipeout 2 soon starts to wear thin as each course starts to prompt a sense of deja vu.

Star Vikings Forever feels like a collection of mechanics that are desperate to try and find some direction. The game's procedural generation can occasionally make interesting and satisfying levels, but more often presents boring or unfair ones. Without the presence of intentionally designed levels, Star Vikings Forever's parts–interesting as they may be–don't create a cohesive whole.

A little like Tetris, Puzzix is all about piecing together blocks and watching them vanish. It could do with more structure, though.

More games would have been great to see here as, after a while, Bonzii gets a little uninteresting. It's all too easy to find yourself just checking in as if it were a job, rather than for fun. There's the potential for something special here but regular updates are going to be needed to keep things interesting.

Like a lot of MMOs, Conquer Online needs a few more patches until we see precisely what it has to offer. I'm hopeful that things like the unwieldy tutorial and slightly cumbersome controls will be sorted in the future.

I don't believe this is a "bad" game per se, but it just feels like something built to let the player do as little as possible, and there's just not much fun to really be had from it because of that.

It's not that Fast & Furious 6 isn't a fun drag racer, it's just that its slow recharging mechanic puts one off getting drawn in.
