    Position your team of uniquely built Vikings to strategically attack enemies, and clear the board. Enemies aren't the brightest, and will attack each other whenever they are attacked. This creates a very satisfying chain-combo system, where you can wipe entire boards with a few moves to clear a path to advance to the next stage, or to complete a specific objective.

    Take your time and strategize, or for faster paced combat, make multiple moves simultaneously. Puzzles are procedurally generated, allowing for unique and nonlinear challenges every time. Each character has a standard melee attack, along with a special ability attack that will send snails crying home to their shells. Each special ability is unique to their class and provides an additional layer of strategy in solving puzzles.

    The game features an awesome aesthetic, the music gets the blood pumping, and the gameplay mechanics are different enough to make the game stand out on its own. Controls take a bit of getting used to but work well in the end. And as far as replay value goes, Star Vikings Forever has a ton of it, so you get your moneys worth. I recommend Star Vikings Forever to anyone who is looking for a lengthy puzzle RPG adventure with a lot of replay value.

    Star Vikings Forever feels like a collection of mechanics that are desperate to try and find some direction. The game's procedural generation can occasionally make interesting and satisfying levels, but more often presents boring or unfair ones. Without the presence of intentionally designed levels, Star Vikings Forever's parts–interesting as they may be–don't create a cohesive whole.
