It's fun to play in short doses but even at only a dollar in price, there are so many better games you could be playing for that short play session.

Overall, while I found Tehra Dark Warrior to be visually stunning, showing off its immersive 3D realistic environments – and lets be honest here, they are great .. this for me was another age old case of visuals over gameplay.

I Am The Hero is not your typical brawler, but it has typical brawler problems. On top of this, the game suffers from periodic slowdowns and crashes, which are completely infuriating. Unless all of its technical issues get worked out, I would avoid I Am The Hero, and—even when it does run a little better—its visual flair would be the only thing to write home about.

Awkward virtual controls mean that any fondness for the source material of Tomb Raider II soon fades.

Super Heavy Sword is adorable. However, its frustrating controls and level layout is bound to inspire not-so-adorable tantrums.

It's an intriguing game and quite artistic in its appearance, but one that I suspect will only ever be a trifling distraction rather than anything to play for any great length of time.

Chuck the Bot blends elements of several popular puzzle games into a package for kids, but those old enough to understand are likely too old to find the game challenging.

Honestly though, anyone that's been waiting with baited breath for a "My Babysitter's a Vampire" fighting game will probably get a genuine kick out of Humans VS Vampires. For the rest of us though, it just bites.

I just don't see much of a point to this re-release, really. What really justifies it, other than Miniclip thinking they could really make this a hit? Well, the distinct lack of polish kind of disproves that. But even with some fixes, it's still just kind of pointless.

At the end of the day, there's just not a lot to 3D Twist and Match to keep you entertained. Is it a horrible app? Hardly. But it doesn't stand out in a sea full of great apps that deserve your attention.

Action Bowling 2 is a bowling simulator with easy gameplay and 2 types of multi-player modes.

E.T The Green Planet is a decent title for what it is. While not especially memorable, it's easily the finest E.T game to date. I bet even Drew Barrymore would be happy with this one.

Western 1849 has its charms, but they’re shadowed by dust and a few days’ growth of whiskers. Better to just ride on down the trail.

It all feels so cynical. Sure, there's no requirement to buy any in-app purchases but there's always that sense that you're missing out on something if you don't. For the stubborn, being pushed to buy help so regularly will no doubt infuriate all the more.

This is also one of those nice freemium games that put a generous amount of their content in front of the paywall. Players won't get all of the 30 levels but they'll get a suitable taste. However, the overall middling gameplay means that chances are it'll be a taste players won't want to try again.

99 Challenges is an okay way to torture yourself.

Sometimes it is best to leave the experiences of the past in the past. Unfortunately an authentic retro experience doesn't always translate to fun.

While Track Lapse is weird, that isn't really enough to make it a good recommendation. This is only for those that like endless runners but like fixed levels, and/or those who like their games weird and quirky.

Build a village and raise some dragons in the formulaic Dragons: Rise of Berk.

Gibs N Glory just feels unfinished.

Run and gun in this beautiful shooter featuring a cast of three unique characters.

Boshi's blend of stealth and action is neat, but parts of it lack considerable polish.

Mini Champions is definitely a soccer game intended for the patient.

Switch between three characters in this somewhat entertaining yet ultimately grind-heavy/expensive roguelike.

An experience that few other games have duplicated, and I highly recommend playing it. Just do so on a system with an actual controller, as apparently for fighting games to work on iOS, they have to be actually designed for the system, or at least dramatically reworked. This is a straight port, and this is just difficult to play.

Unfortunately, however, Doodle Pixel couldn't quite grab my attention as much as some games I've played. The controls were a little off-putting, meaning it wasn't quite as easy to pick up and play as a lot of iPhone titles would be.
