If Hamsterdam was a little tighter and shorter, I think I would have enjoyed its prompt-based gameplay a little more. There are times where it does really fire on all cylinders, but by that time, you’ve already played so much of it that the payoff doesn’t necessarily feel worth it.

Niggles aside, Funpark Friends is respectable enough, it just needs some work doing to it. With a few more social features and a little more functionality in terms of things to do, such as more interaction in the running of the park, this might be something pretty cool.

No doubt Star Trip for iPhone is one of the most simple games there is to be found in the iOS app store, but that is not to say that it is a bad game. Its simplicity is definitely one of the game's strengths.

It's just not overly interesting. Bland backdrops and an unhealthy supply of backtracking restrict the fun that can be had. The actual puzzles and hidden object sections are enjoyable but it's getting to them that's the problem. Players may find themselves losing interest all too soon.

The Cyrus Chronicles is like a fancy wrapper on a bland piece of candy. It seeks to be an avant-garde darling like flOw, but that game understood that unique isn't enough. Games have to be enjoyable too.

Dark Slash is an okay action/arcade title, though the action wears thin very quickly.

Perhaps almost too simple, Don't Eat People lives up to its name in terms of its main focus.

Being inspired by another game isn't necessarily a bad thing. 300 Dwarves comes complete with impressive graphics, decent gameplay and a solid storyline. Ultimately, the disappointment is that it could be better. It doesn't offer anything new and exciting and it feels more like a sequel to a game I've already played. Those looking for a new TD game will enjoy picking up this title, but don't expect to be blown away by it.

Iron Snout is fun for five minutes, but a bit too simple for longer doses.

The videogame equivalent of War and Peace, this is not. What you can expect is to waste a few minutes of your life, enjoying the antics of a crazy Caribbean crab, just looking to get his share of a small fortune.

It’s tempting to give Hakitzu: Code of the Warrior a pass because of the bold new ways it attempts to merge coding and gameplay. In fact, anyone interested in coding but has found it too intimidating so far should still probably check it out. Just don’t expect much of a game.

For the price, RC vCar is a fun distraction and it will probably impress peers at the office, but without any source of motivation it can grow tiresome.

Unfortunately though, other than this change in the formula, Act of War: Urban Defense is very typical of the genre. If you're mad keen on Tower Defense games, you'll find enjoyment here but don't expect to find originality. This is a very by the book game.

My big qualm with Temple Runner lies in the fact that the majority of the game's scenery looks the same. Yeah, the scenery does change here and there, but most of the time, gamers are running through ruined, temple pathways that look consistently the same. It all starts to blur together after a while.

The main problem that lies with Righteous Kill is that it just isn't as good as other Hidden Object games, most notably, the Masters of Mystery series. It's all just a little too safe and average.

Scuba Dupa is cute and simple fun, but you're going to have to part with a bit too much sunken treasure to make it worthwhile, unfortunately.

My Exercise definitely feels more like a "game" than KIDS does in a lot of ways, but I almost wish it didn't. Having unlocks and hidden easter eggs set me up to expect a deeper world inside My Exercise, but there's not a whole lot to be found.

It is always exciting when a developer thinks outside of the box. The problem is when there isn't enough original content to justify a full release.

Zoo Defenders checks off all the tower defense boxes just fine but it does nothing to separate itself from its crowded genre. It's hard to condemn but hard to recommend as well.

MouseBot offers up some light and cute puzzling, but it's a little hard to control. Losing lives and having to wait, pay, or watch an ad to replenish them can feel a little frustrating when you feel like the reason you failed is the game's fault and not yours. Although there are checkpointing systems to mitigate this issue somewhat, it feels like a cheap solution. Because of these issues, MouseBot is hard to recommend.

Mole Kingdom has some interesting ideas, but the implementation needs lots of work. Perhaps letting players do more than one task per floor would speed things along? Or maybe housing two (or even three!!) moles per apartment? Regardless, it's okay but there are much more interesting (and entertaining) options out there.
