Pretty much the only lesson that should be taken from it is that it at least has consumable powerups that are cheap enough to buy with collected rings that they actually can become an integral part of gameplay, not just a plaything for the rich. Beyond that, this is a disappointingly pedestrian game.

Even a great retro art style can't save this sloppy shooter.

I know that flashy effects aren't necessary for a game to be good, much less a CCG. But, when your card game–while good–doesn't look great and doesn't really bring much new stuff to the table, it's hard to be excited by it. Legends does a decent job of interpreting the the world and lore of The Elder Scrolls series into a competent card game, but, on a platform where there are tons of great CCGs, that's not enough.

Being both a licensed tie-in and free-to-play makes it seem like Tales of Honor already has two strikes against it. However, the experience has potential - it just falters due to repetitive, unchanging gameplay.

1968 has the potential to be a fun little time-waster, if it weren't for the unnecessary difficulty caused by slow gameplay and unpredictable controls.

With its attractive business model and sharp visuals, it's hard to resist giving Deck 'Em! a try. That's the most exciting thing about it, though. Once you open it and start playing, it's all downhill from there. This isn't to say it's an outright bad game. It's just an experience that needs a bit more to prop it up as a full experience.

In the end, Carnival Games 2 is a typical mini-games compilation. It's got its fun mini-games, and it's got its not-so-fun ones. Unfortunately, the game runs for $3.99, which is just too much for what you get.

Once players manage to get used to the controls and the gameplay, they will have fun dodging around crazy enemies, trapping them in and destroying them.

Orca's Welcome to the Dungeon has gorgeous visuals and a fun concept, but also a dry and unending grind.

Briefly fun but ultimately forgettable, Zombie Commando will scratch an itch then be forgotten ever more.

Unfortunately, those 31 levels tend to feel rather repetitive because they're all set in the same arena to the same music and with the same goal in mind.

Big Eater, with it's strange but fitting name, is a very simple game and though it's not a game with hours of compelling content it does what it does very well. It's a well crafted experience and players looking for a mindless distraction would do well to check it out.

The iOS version of Gravinaytor is a basically good game suffering from a case of bad port-itis. It still has some genuinely fun moments, but they're tucked inside questionable controls that fight the player every step of the way. Unfortunate, but nothing a good update can't fix.

Triple Trouble is an enjoyable game. The issues mentioned do impact the enjoyment at times, but nowhere near enough for me to dissuade the player from buying it.

It’s really tricky to create satisfying traversal challenges when you put players in control of an object that can move freely in any direction. I have a lot of respect for Witcheye for taking on this huge design problem, especially since there are times when the game really feels like it delivers compelling solutions. Unfortunately, these moments are spread across an uneven experience that is hard to control.

The game is eye pleasing, but middling controls, annoying – rather than challenging – obstacles, and an utter lack of adventure makes for a frustrating experience.
