It's a shame that Invaders! doesn't offer deeper gameplay, as this retro-inspired remake's presentation is dripping with nostalgic flavor.

Combining pinball with RPG mechanics is a cool idea, but BlitzKeep doesn't execute it particularly well.

Ultimately, though, Claustrophobic‘s gameplay is a little on the shallow side. There’s the prospect of new updates at a later date but, for now, it doesn’t quite have the longevity of other Endless Running games. The addition of challenges could have helped this significantly, so hopefully that will be one such update. For now, though, Claustrophobic is an interesting idea but one that lacks that “just one more go” factor.

With not much in common with its predecessor, Gravity Guy 2 is a fairly run of the mill Endless Runner.

At first, Unlock might feel fun, but it seriously lacks staying power.

In the heyday of adventure games, players would put up with being stuck and pixel-hunting because–in doing so–they could expect to be rewarded with an interesting story and entertaining characters. Thimbleweed Park is a game that provides very elegant solutions to the mechanical problems of traditional adventure games, but then completely fails to provide any sort of satisfying narrative payoff in return. As a result, Thimbleweed Park is easy to play, but extremely hard to enjoy.

While the ability to replay levels for a higher score, or faster time exists, I found myself finishing most levels the first time around with a score with which I was pleased, and no real need to explore other strategies.

Swords and trading cards are fun, right? So is Soul Guardians: Age of Midgard. Mostly fun, anyway.

I get the inherent appeal of Project Mayhem, but I don't get all the accolades. The controls are restrictive and loose, it looks way too blurry on my 3GS, and most of its possible selling points haven't actually been implemented yet. Maybe with some time, refinement, and updating it will be the platformer-to-beat, but right now it's not much of a contender.

The Hunger Games: Panem Rising features lovely card artwork that should resonate with Hunger Games fans, though the game itself is nothing special.

There are moments where Evoland 2’s game-referencing antics feel really cool, but these moments are few and far between. Otherwise, it presents a poorly paced adventure that—though narratively interesting—isn’t exactly fun to play. For the most part, Evoland 2 is a passing curiosity that mostly just reminds you of all the other, better games you could be playing instead of it.

Each character class has its own strengths and weaknesses, each level has a host of hidden contraptions with which to cause chaos, and every weapon packs a powerful punch, but the control issues – coupled with the graphical stuttering and lack of gameplay variety – just don't equate to much replay value.

Bigfoot: Hidden Giant isn't the finest of examples when it comes to Hidden Object gaming. I'd have appreciated more thought provoking puzzles and more responsive controls, but there's still some fun to be had within that flawed exterior.

Overall, Klopex Galactic Bubble for iPhone is a typical bubble game. It has a couple interesting and unique additions, like the space trek mode, but the main gameplay is pretty standard. If online multiplayer is added soon, it could make it very appealing.

Magikarp Jump isn't a great game so much as it is a curious, clicker-esque thing. It is laudable insofar as it takes a totally uninteresting gameplay loop and actually gives some life to it. This doesn't make Magikarp Jump feel any more like a satisfying game, but it does make it one of the more interesting Pokémon titles out there.
