There's no way anyone would mistake Irrupt for a "complex" or even a "deep" game, but it does simple fun very well. There's no leveling up or upgrading to be had but it's a great time killer for high score chasing iOS gamers.

On the whole 101 Airborne is a solid topscroller action game. Aiming takes a little while to get used to, but overall the controls are good. Also, the 3D graphics are superb and the soundtrack is very appropriate. There are plenty of upgrades and levels, so it is definitely a justified purchase if it sounds appealing.

I get the inherent appeal of Project Mayhem, but I don't get all the accolades. The controls are restrictive and loose, it looks way too blurry on my 3GS, and most of its possible selling points haven't actually been implemented yet. Maybe with some time, refinement, and updating it will be the platformer-to-beat, but right now it's not much of a contender.

For completionists, each level is gauged according to how quickly and accurately it has been completed, as well as if all the extra stars have been collected. Similar to the 'three star' method used by so many other puzzle games, it goes some way to extending this already fairly lengthy title. 100 levels should keep the gray matter ticking along for a while to come.
