    Looked at on its own (which I'm not sure it deserves) it's an enjoyable enough romp with plenty of replay value. And it's free, and it doesn't really push purchases on me, so that's all to be appreciated. Still, it would be nice to see these values applied to new ideas on iOS a bit more, right?     It doesn't exactly have the smoothest start, but Gnomes is a pretty cool water physics puzzle game. Levels can be agonizingly complicated (in a good way) and the visuals evoke a little Daniel Merriam, which is very cool. Water wranglers, feel free to take a look.

    Tiki Towers 2 is the full package for the physics puzzle fan. It's charming to look at and offers an enjoyable challenge while mixing it up every now and then to ensure that the game always feels fresh. Sure it might be liberally borrowing some World of Goo elements but it's borrowing from one of the greats which is no bad thing at all.

    In a lot of ways, holedown feels like the mobile game equivalent of comfort food. It’s something that’s extremely enjoyable from time to time, but too much of it may not be the best thing for you. If this fits the bill of what you want in your next mobile game purchase, than go ahead and give holedown a try, but if you’re looking for a substantive experience on your phone, you may want to look elsewhere.

    Without an "endless" mode or some other such business that we've all grown accustomed to in our iOS games, I worry that some players will simply expect to beat To-Fu: The Trials of Chi in a matter of days (or several consecutive hours) and move on to the next title. While this is certainly a possiblity, as it is with most popular App Store offerings, it's still bound to be an enjoyable experience.

    It might be heavy on the exposition and light on the camera control, but this is one solid free-to-play that usually always has something for players to do. Being the boss of a secret organization created to deal with extra-terrestrial activities sounds like a fantastic job, and thanks to Men in Black 3 I'm even more inclined to believe it.

    Zombies & Trains! isn’t cerebral in any way but it’s a great way of annihilating stress levels at the speed of, well, a fast moving train. Coins that can be used to accrue new upgrades and bonuses increase at a slow rate, but other than that, it’s smooth sailing for the gory yet fun filled zombie slasher.

    The only real problem I had was that the tiles were tough to move and rotate sometimes. The controls just weren't as responsive as they could have been. I'd say 10% of the time the tile wouldn't move when I wanted it to. Otherwise, the controls worked great.

    Rebel Inc. is fascinating and fun, but if you find a strategy in the game that works, it works just about everywhere. This doesn’t bode well for a game that doesn’t really have enough story or other content to it to switch things up dramatically, but somehow I still find the game fun. It’s just oddly satisfying to walk through the steps of returning a region to stability, even if the way you go about it is largely the same every time you do it.

    There's really no reason not to check out Father and Son. It's a beautiful, free game that tells a solid story along the way. Go get it, and go visit the Naples Archaeological Museum to get more of it to play if you like it.

    Never Stop Sneakin’ is a pretty great game, provided you aren’t looking for tactical stealth game with a deep set of systems or lore. The game includes suggestions of these things, but these only operate as a means of making fun of Metal Gear Solid and nothing more. That said, what is in Never Stop Sneakin’ is fun and feels great, I just wish there were a little more variety to make it feel a little less grindy.
