Aug 22, 2011We've barely touched the story to prevent spoiling any details, but we'll say that it's much better than what you'll find in nearly any other iPhone game. We'll be waiting anxiously another chapter, if there is one, because Emissary of War is an amazing game in a sea of copycats and clones.

Aug 29, 2011I was, and still am, genuinely surprised and impressed with Emissary of War. It's fun, funny and genuinely different in a genre over-saturated with Blizzard wannabes.
-
Aug 31, 2011The biggest issue, though, is the game's length. You'll blow through the first chapter in 45 minutes or less, and the second (accessed via in-app purchase for $0.99) is equally short...On the positive side, it's time well spent, and with more chapters presumably on the way, Emissary of War has even more potential. Worth a buck? Absolutely.
-
Aug 22, 2011Emissary of War shows how to make a great iOS dungeon-crawler - it's just a shame there's not more of it.
-
Sep 2, 2011The serialized story idea is tough to wrap your head around in a RPG and figuring out a way to balance gameplay with variety and story is going to be a serious challenge moving forward. If they can pull it off, Emissary of War could be something truly special.

Oct 3, 2011I would recommend Emissary of War to Runescape or Lord of the Rings fan. Though it is very easy, it does get sort of addictive with combat and collecting items, not to mention the witty dialogue.
