I didn't really mind the lack of challenge. The general experience is enjoyable and made all the better by the cute one liners that Spongebob exclaims. For kids, they will love this Spongebob infused game. For adults, they'll enjoy the ride to the end. It's so gleefully happy, it's hard not to smile.

SPIFFING may look a bit cheap, and its controls can be bothersome, but it's a solid adventure game nonetheless. It's a funny game (an impressive feat) that has some clever puzzles, which is most of what you need out of a quality adventure game. It's humor may not be for everyone, but SPIFFING is certainly worth picking up for some very British adventuring.

Beholder is a fascinating game that gives you a cool, clockwork world to play around in. It also tells a story about the difficulties of living in a totalitarian state, but some of that can be overshadowed by the depth of the game's mechanics and the ease with which you can undo decisions you've made. It's still a game worth playing and experiencing, but perhaps one that won't stick with you after you've played through it.

As long as a player knows what they're getting in to, which is to say a very old-fashioned RPG, I think they'll enjoy Guardian Saga immensely. It does classic right. Just be mindful of the volume in crowded places as many of the "sound effects" are almost too Old School.

For fans of quirky puzzle-action games that balance well between requiring the spot-on and frantic shot, Arrow Mania has quite a bit in its app-confines. I'm a sucker for character customization so I really liked messing around with the outfits (I settled on a kind of hipster office worker rendition of Jason Voorhees wielding a battle axe). The combat is a tad simple, but it's interesting to try and predict the other user's moves before the match even starts. And blocking a really nasty attack always satisfies. As does unlocking new gear.
