The technical issues are obviously a problem, but--generally speaking--they did not sour me on the experience. The fact that the stealth-action of Hitman: Blood Money - Reprisal works so well on mobile despite the rough parts almost makes Feral Interactive's work on this version even more impressive.

It offers a fun twist on a well loved genre, and it's loaded with content. The game leans towards the strategy and puzzle categories, which might be a turn off for anyone seeking a more visceral experience, but players who don't have the patience or the skill required for aiming will love the easy access offered by Siege Hero.

Velocirapture doesn't have the addictive element that other Adult Swim/PikPok games like Monsters Ate My Condo or Chuck Darwin's Extinction Squad have, but for a summer pick-up-and-play title the good looks, great sounds and solid gameplay are worth the $.99.

Overall, True Skate is a stunningly good looking game that comes incredibly close to recreating the feel of real skateboarding. There might not be a lot to do, but it does provide for a good time.

The spot on level designs and clever "frozen" environments make this game a sheer joy to play.

Within moments I was totally floored by Project 83113's mechanics, action, and style. Don't be fooled by the cuddly mascot like I was at first; this is a fantastic action/platforming game that's well worth playing.

Speed Forge Extreme is an action packed space-themed racer which both looks and feels the part. In my experience I really felt like I was playing a WipEout spin-off (in a good way), plus the game's accelerometer controls are the smoothest I've seen on any App Store title to date.

This might be the best game in the Minotaur Project yet – its blending of various game types feels original, yet still so very retro. Check this one out.

Color Zen is a puzzler that’s not like the rest thanks to its intuitive controls and relaxing gameplay. Instead of flying through levels, gamers will want to savor the experience.

I've usually found games like this to be boring, but this one kept me so hooked I almost missed my stop on the train. Multiple times. It's definitely worth checking out.

MotoHeroz is another fantastic entry in a genre that RedLynx has taken command of. The physics-based gameplay, level design, and asynchronous multiplayer elements are all fantastic. Now, if only we can get RedLynx on the universal app train, we'd really have something. Other than that, the game is fantastic.

What I want developers like EA and Gameloft (NFL 2011) to understand is that people don't want to play full simulation football on a tiny screen. They want to play a football game that is designed for a mobile device, one that gets rid of all the complexities that bog down the console version and only has the fun stuff.

Though Block Breaker 3 is a strong re-entry for Gameloft into the genre, it reeks a bit of trying too hard.

Off The Leash could have been much better. There are just so many questionable design decisions that let down the game's concept.

Resynth is a decent puzzle game, but its musical elements are all pretty weak. The music is there and it's tied to the game's aesthetic, but at the end of the day, these elements don't change the fact that you're pushing blocks around the same way you might in dozens of other Sokoban-style games. As a result, there's no real reason to go out of your way to check out Resynth.

World of Warships Blitz is a game that is sure to entertain anyone who like World of Tanks Blitz, but is maybe wanting a little change in combat dynamics and scenery. It presents the same solid formula as Tanks, but with just enough changes so that it works for ships and the unique ways they fight, and it does so relatively well. Nothing about it is so wildly different that it will win over new fans though.

Like a good thrill ride, Lumicon goes from banal and meditative, comfortable and easy to a tilt-a-whirl of tossing, screaming, stomach-flipping nostalgia. It's why I stand in line for 45 minutes in the first place.

While it's got some room for improvement, it has a lot of good things going for it, has plenty of value and challenge in its 65 levels for $1.99 and is a concept that I hope gets explored even more in future updates and future games.

ENYO is pretty great fun, but doesn't quite hit the high bar that Tinytouchtalesset for themselves with Card Crawl. It's still worth playing if you enjoy roguelikes, but otherwise it may not hold your attention for long.

World Zombination is a fun twist on the base building/tower defense format, and it really does feel original.

Spacecom is a simple looking space based strategy game, that won't be to everyone's tastes.

It's a bit repetitive after a time, but Day of the Viking is fun in short doses.

The almost puzzle-like gameplay of figuring out how best to cause the most destruction is simple, complex, and satisfying in every way.

Newcomers might be a tad lost with some of the story elements, but that won't stop them from enjoying themselves. Plus they can always download every other game in the series for a grand total of "hardly anything."

Ski Safari is just plain old great. It's simple enough to get into right away, but has just enough intricacies to keep things interesting. The added tasks and quirky power-ups are also a big plus. Yet another high-quality runner to add to that ever-growing library.

Tap Tap Revenge Tour isn't new, but it's smart, gorgeous, and satisfying as a free game, while being enough fun to warrant spending some real money for favorite tracks. Grab it and start shredding.

It's simple to drop into Time Geeks & Friends for a brief time, just to make one's moves and return to the day's activities for a bit longer. Its quirky charm really is quite endearing.

Ultimately though, King Oddball is sufficiently enjoyable that any other purpose isn't really needed. It's simplistic to a near fault (right down to the lack of any proper menus) but when it's this much fun, who cares?

I truly can’t recommend Can Knockdown 3 enough. It’s exceeded my expectations massively and is a fantastically simple yet addictive title.
