Katy Perry gives new sounds and shows that she is on her own lane. SMILE is a ride, a story line that starts with getting over someone or something, getting back your smile, finding love and finding YOURSELF. The sound is fresh and different, dance pop for days. Every song is there for a reason, there's no skips.

The songs are so good and so catchy. Katy Perry is one of the few artists that can reinvente herself with ease. She brings back her Teenage Dream vibes with SMILE. It’s maybe her best album. Cry about it later and Not the end of the world are my favorites songs right now.

2020'nin en iyi albümü olmuş. Şarkılardan Never Really Over dışındaki şarkılar liste başarı açısından pek iyi olmasa bile albüm çok başarılı olmayı hakediyor.

I think this album is the most underrated album of 2020. Every song has a different vibe, cute and poppy and straight to the point. The last 2 songs are more adult pop but the rest are made for everyone! Never really over is a strong way to start the album! Although I do wish it was a bit more cohesive and she let the 70s theme, I do enjoy the clown/circus theme as it does fit very wellI think this album is the most underrated album of 2020. On this album, Katy Perry shows through all the hell that she went through to regain her smile and happiness. Probably the most cohesive album of her career, everything the world needed in this chaotic time.

The bubblegum pop sweetheart is back at her lane again with a hit after hit anthemic tracks that brings back her Smile. Having an astounding 4 trilogies about Therapy, Recovery, Happiness and True Love, from “losing her self-control” to “there it is, Katheryn”. Katy, herself make sure that during the world’s dilemma she will turn our frown upside-down.

One of the best albums of Katy Perry's, hands down. Some highlights are "Not the End of the World" and "Teary Eyes," though the album as a whole is cohesive and tells a great, inspiring story.

Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
