This is easily Taylor's best album. Her most creative and lyrically complex piece yet and it's the album I always wanted and always knew she could make.

Perfect for listening while working or studying at home during the Covid-19 social isolation. The production creates an enviroment of intimacy and calmness for the listener. Taylor gaves us something that helps going through the anxiety and stress of this pandemic.

Folklore is a complete masterpiece. I wasn’t sure what route Taylor would go after Lover, and I am so pleasantly surprised. Every single song tells a beautiful story, all in correlation to each other. Taylor brought back the kind of sound we haven’t heard since the 90s. Taylor Swift tried to rescue her country's influences that had been out of date for years. In an album with so many versions, it is impossible to deny the influence on Lady Gaga's album, Joanne. In the moment of a pandemic all we don't want is to listen to this album and cry again. More of the same, boring and uninteresting.

I'm a Kanye fan, but I recognize talent when I see it. Taylor is undeniably talented in her songwriting, business acumen, and singing. This is Taylor at her finest--the style complements her songwriting skills beautifully. folklore is cohesive yet diverse, especially for an alternative, raw album.

It most likely won't outsell 1989, which had wild numbers, but this is her magnus opus.

She's proven that she can sell and create #1 albums (this might be her seventh consecutive one), and she no longer has to prove herself. folklore is Taylor at her finest, and I'm happy that she was able to create and release this without worrying about sales. Taylor is a true artist, and folklore is true art

Absolutely beautiful. This album is so unlike her previous work; the songs are subdued, yet emotionally charged. They create descriptive narratives that get more complex and intriguing the more you listen. The nostalgic themes of folklore are ones that will last through decades and eras and are eternalized in their relatability, timelessness, and evocative nature. My fave TS album to date :)

Simply amazing. Swift is probably the only artist at the moment who is able to write a new album almost all by herself (as usual) in only a few months and with a style she's never done before; and get as a result something beautiful that will be cherished by millions. It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]

A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.

These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
