As usual for the MCU, 'Thor: Love and Thunder' is a good watch. I did want more from it, though.

Chris Hemsworth remains the star of the show, I'm adding nothing new by saying he is just perfect for the role. Tessa Thompson, Taika Waititi and Natalie Portman all make for good support. Christian Bale is also someone I enjoyed, I like the look of his character but kinda felt that I wanted to see more of him - it's like we see a beginning and an end, but part of me feels like we coulda had something in-between.

The special effects are solid, as is the music; even if the track choices aren't the most creative. I probably would've shortened the run time a little, though that isn't anything all that noteworthy to be honest. There are some funny moments in there, which is always something I expect from a Taika Waititi flick.

As for me and my own personal Thor ranking, this - like the 2011 original (also 3) - isn't one of my favourites (fwiw, I enjoy 'Thor: The Dark World' and 'Thor: Ragnarok' (both 4) way more) but it's still a fun enough time that I'd recommend it.

I simply cannot (cannot, I tell you!) believe they didn't just call this 'Thor Four' btw...

Beautiful picture, good soundtrack.
But the plot is not that disappointing, but I definitely won’t call it good.

Lately, Marvel movies haven't been reaching the quality they once did, so I wasn't expecting anything special, and that's probably why I'm not disappointed in the finale. It went by pleasantly quickly because there was a lot of action, which I thought was pretty epic in places, but there's just one catch. Story-wise, it's not such a joy anymore. There is a lot of humour. A lot. That's a classic with Marvel movies, but here there's perhaps I would say a little more of it. I generally don't like a lot of jokes in superhero movies. I prefer more serious superhero ventures, like Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, but that's beside the point. There were several times in the story where one character was speaking to tell the story and that bothered me. I don't like it much and rarely like it, but sometimes it's cool, but here I didn't like it. Then as I mentioned the humor is really over the top here, which wasn't my cup of tea either. I don't want to spoil, but story-wise it wasn't a total win either. Well it was saved for me by the aforementioned action, which I enjoyed and which Marvel can and probably always will, except for Eternals. That was pretty damn weak in my opinion and Thor: Love Like Thunder is still fine in comparison. So, for me, a good movie that although I would recommend to Thor fans, I might not after all because it gets quite the hate. It's hard to say. My friends were really disappointed with this movie. I'm satisfied though and for me it was fine. Expand

I enjoyed this movie. I know it is lambasted for being tone deaf at times and not finding the balance between humor and drama....but I didn't find it too bad.
While it does have a lot of comedic moments, it does know when to take itself seriously, especially towards the climax. The villian and emotional core of the movie still resonate, and I don't think it deserves the critical reception it has received.
Sure, the actual plot is very simple and it does little for the overall narrative of the MCU Phase....but so do most current MCU movies. As a stand-alone film it's funny, entertaining and does contain a genuine and heartfelt message.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This was the new Thor movie for the lackluster Phase 4 of the MCU, and going into this one I was incredibly hyped for it. There was so much in the trailers that hooked me in, like Christian Bale as Gorr The God Butcher, Zeus and more Gods are in the movie, and then I watched the movie, and I thought it was just good. This is definitely a shorter Marvel movie, it's only at 2 Hours long. The plot kind of **** over the trailers, as the Guardians of the Galaxy were featured heavily in the trailer and are only there for like fifteen minutes or ten minutes. The main point of this film is Thor, Jane Foster, Valkyrie, and Korg going on an adventure to the Shadow World to save Asgardian kids from Gorr. Bale as Gorr is...AMAZING. Definitely the highlight of this film for sure, as I love his entire storyline. The fight scenes are pretty rare (there's only like four of them), but I like all of them. The romance between Thor and Jane is really good, and it can be funny at times as well. Gorr ends up nearly killing Valkyrie and taking Stormbreaker, which he needs to reach Eternity to wish to kill all Gods. He makes it to Eternity for one huge fight scene where the Asgardian kids (one is Heimdall's kid) get Thor's powers and kick ass. And then the best part of the movie is Gorr turning good and dying, wishing for his dead daughter to come back, and Jane dies, the kid now being Thor's daughter. A bit of a depressing, but sweet ending. In other words I enjoyed the story, and the soundtrack backs up so many scenes, mostly Hair Metal music and I love it, with the actual soundtrack kicking ass. Overall a pretty good Marvel movie that will generate some mixed reviews, but I think it's a good sign for Phase 4 movies. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. One of the major problems I had with the movie was the comedy. Yes, the movie was funny, but it felt like it was trying to input comedy at every possible chance it got. This doesn't necessarily fit into a Thor Movie, especially when the antagonist of this film is Gorr the God Butcher. I had expected this movie to be a little bit more dark and serious than most Marvel Movies, and instead it ended up being trying to be more comedic then them all. Whenever there were any scenes with Gorr, the movie shifted to a more serious tone all of a sudden. The set pieces and designs of certain scenes looked amazing, and the movie had a bit of a nice smooth flow going. The soundtrack was phenomenal. But the ending really had me thinking, "What the Hell?" Basically, in the ending Thor recruits the help of a bunch of Asgardian Children that Gorr had kidnapped, giving them the power of Thor. this scene literally had no importance in the plot whatsoever. Its really clear it was only added there for comedic value. Gorr was significantly nerfed when compared to the comics. He was supposed to be the toughest villain Thor had ever faced. Instead, Gorr feels like another random, One Movie Antagonist, that was wasted. King Valkyrie was also underutilized. In Ragnarok, she actually had a purpose to be there. In this film, it feels like she's just there to be just a side character who helps fight the bad guy. Chris Hemsworth does an excellent job of playing Thor, and Natalie Portman was great too. Christian Bale, as is to be expected, was phenomenal. The action sequences were cool, and might as well be some of the best in the whole MCU. There were some big hiccups in CGI though, such as when Heimdall's son appears as a floating head, that looks like a filter edited into a youtube video, not exactly the quality you expect from Marvel. If it had just taken an approach similar to Ragnarok, and tried to include some more seriousness instead of as much comedy, it would be a 9/10 at least. Expand

This is a hard film to review. I’m not sure what it is about Thor L&T but I just didn’t find it that funny. I felt like they tried so hard to push jokes out and they often didn’t land with me. I think there were too many jokes right at the start, it became obvious that the dialogue only served for humour reasons and because that failed to land with me it took away any storytelling or narrative immersion. The film is still entertaining and it definitely gets better by the second act, even the comedy improves once ‘Jane’ is introduced into the story alongside Thor. There are great action scenes and the film definitely doesn’t feel too long. I think it’s the perfect length. The villain is the best part of the movie, Christian Bale portrays his character extremely well. I will say, it felt very clear that Natalie Portman had only been contracted for one marvel movie. Immediately we are met with her character in a terminal situation which implies she won’t be returning after the movie concludes. Maybe they could’ve made it a little more subtle.

Overall, this movie is alright. It’s funny at times and has enough action to remain entertaining and compelling, with some neat cinematography here and there, but not the greatest marvel movie I’ve ever seen.

But I went back the second time and I began to see some flaws. The film is big and looks marvelous. Michael Giacchino's new theme for Thor is one of the highlights of the film. The orchestral rock is absolutely badass. I feel like Christian Bale's Gorr the God Butcher should have had much more to do since he only occasionally comes into play to cause trouble. He has a great opening scene then afterwards we don't really see him being the mad man like we have anticipated. Natalie Portman is great when she is Jane Foster but when she is playing Mighty Thor...not so much. There are some cringe worthy moments when Portman is throwing down with the baddy. Chris Hemsworth is Thor and we have come to love him throughout the years in the MCU and he is lovable as always. Taika Waititi's vision is very unique and that is a delight to see in this ever expanding universe. Even though the film doesn't do much to expand the MCU and it is basically Thor and his buddies doing stuff, it is an entertaining romp from start to finish. Expand

The next target? New Asgard... Ever since the events of Endgame the MCU has felt rather directionless, and to be honest this movie doesn’t really do anything to change that. There are a handful of funny moments, but the biggest issue with this movie is that it leans into the absurd humour far too often, frequently to the detriment of the characters and plot. It tries too hard to be funny constantly and the levity isn't always very effective. The villain, Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale was handled pretty well and was decent for a lesser-known Marvel villain. It was interesting seeing a female version of Thor in Natalie Portman's Jane who becomes the Mighty Thor after she seeks out Thor's old hammer when she is diagnosed with stage-four cancer. Of course, the original male Thor is still the main character in the film. Jane and Thor rekindle their old romance in the movie. The movie is fast-paced, as I already established it can be silly, and there is a lot of action and pretty realistic cgi. The movie attempts to gain political points by featuring some LGBT side characters, though this is a minor feature of the film and not very distracting fortunately. Expand

I actually liked it first and was leaning towards an 8/10. Then I noticed more and more flaws. Lets start at the beginning. The Thor movies were a staple and the previous movie Thor Ragnarök was the best of them. So we all were happy that director Taika Waititi returns. However phase 4 of Marvel is a bit divisive to say it mildly. It taught me and my friends not to watch the movies in the cinema without consulting reviews by trustworthy critics first. As the reviews came in it looked like a disaster. So I waited until it came to Disney+. After the introduction of a character I wont spoil it follows the set up of Avengers Endgame were Thor travels alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy. However he has some sort of a midlife crisis when he gets an emergency message. Someone is on a quite successful journey to kill all gods in the universe. This is the set up. They use a famous story arc from the comics for this and I hesitate only to say the comics are better because of Christian Bales great performance. While the story is decent to good the characters feel a bit weird. Thor behaves a bit strange and also Jane and Valkyrie feel sometimes forced into character changes that are not explained well. Don't get me wrong I like both the characters and actors. The cast with Chris Hemswort, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale and, Tessa Thomson are great. Also I like all the children and cameos in the theatre scene. The fights are amazing and the final battle is quite entertaining. Never underestimate a bunch of …. The humour was the most divisive part in other reviews. A lot of people say the use too much humour and it drags the movie down. I disagree as it was not that overburdened for me. However not all jokes are good and this drags it down a little but to be fair there are some incredible humorous and entertaining scenes. The special effects are top notch as always. The sets and costumes mostly deliver and I would praise the movie in this regard. The negatives are that like I said the characters are a bit strange compared to before, the story they follow from the comics is better and I do not like a bit of the arcs and developments. Overall I am a bit divided. The more I think about the movie the lower my rating goes. It tricked me not enough into making me believe its awesome. I give a 6/10. Expand

It's dialogs is sometimes appalling. In fact all the middle section is atrocious and the Norse mythos are just horrible. Why we don't see Bale, actually killing Gods, but only the aftermatch, is just stupid. In that sens Bale was a waste of talent. Putting Portman in full makeup when in Thor is also distracting, because it's pretty bad. At least you get some very touching and action moments in the ends. That redeem the middle section. The music was fine, but I didn't like the recycling of the same rock song. I give the movie 62% mainly because this story is broken in the middle and the characters dialog are just too bad in so many places. And many of the jokes don't lands very well. Expand

But the relationship between Thor and Jane feels a bit forced still, however. I don't really believe there's love here, but it's very much on par with Thor 1 and Thor 2 and I give it a pass, because I enjoyed seeing her again. A couple of jokes felt flat, and that's a shame. The movie sometimes feels like it's trying too hard, sometimes even not being serious enough during important scenes. But all in all, I liked this.

They do ditch the guardians rather quickly. Based on the trailer, I had imagined they would play a bigger part. But in the end, this might be for the best. The butcher has a great design, and Christian Bale is great in this. But perhaps the god butcher does not really do a whole lot of god butchering after all. Perhaps a lot of wasted potential right there.

It's a Missed Opportunity, the story was decent,The jane's and gorr's arc with it the thor's journey continuation and asgardians and gods involvement all of the plotlines felt like touched the surface but it didn't felt impacted with such less run-time and the gorr's terror was completely missed since the tone was too fun, It felt like watching a kids movie with silly catchphrases and the too colorfull environments but with little adult jokes, The whole gender related stuff was felt underdeveloped specailly the lady thor catchphrase and adult joke of zeus the whole zeus stuff was literally amature-ish portrayal although the god's arrogance and gorr's arc felt boosted, The golden temple scene was eye-pleasing and throughout the movie the CGI is literally art, The music was awesome with rock band themes, the old characters return like jane and her friend and guradians it was nice, The post credits were awesome specailly the hercules tease, The final act was amazing and the love and thunder tease at last was good, just like that the starting gorr's origin scene it was brutal and awesome it sets the tone for rest but the movie didn't catchup, The black and white tone for gorr and colorful for thor was amazing idea, The jane's entry 1st and ending's and ending kids fight was nice addition,The jane's cancer and getting back with thor and the ending of her with the gorr the it landed good,Overall it had amazing elements and plot-lines with gorr, jane and thor the tone was adjustable it was hyping up at start and ended well but the mid the journey felt rushed, Its an Average movie! Not great, not terrible, just fine. Love and Thunder has interesting visuals and cool action sequences, but is also poorly paced and has some noticeably out of place comedy and cheesiness. Adding another twenty to thirty minutes to the films runtime could've helped add more context to the story and ease the previously mentioned pacing problem, but instead we have a movie that is too short to tell a fully realized Marvel storyline. Fans of the MCU will get some good entertainment value out of Thor: Love and Thunder, but they shouldn't expect anything really special. Expand

At the same time I feel its certainly not the worst of the Thor movies sorry Dark World. Was interesting that Marvel didn't take the easy way out I was expecting them to with Jane near the end. Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman were great in this. Where the movie falls down is it gets very cartoonish with its humor there were some parts that made laugh admittedly but unfortunately a lot more parts that made me cringe and took me out of the story. Christian Bale did what he could with Gore but his arc felt a bit rushed and not fleshed out. Zeus felt like more of a punchline rather than a powerful god it was like the parts that should have been serious in the movie couldn't be as the movie was sort of stuck in cartoon mode. Overall there is certainly enough to enjoy in this movie but it struggles to balance humor with serious parts was great to see the guardians though. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Fui assistir o filme e assim estava MUITO haypado.

If i'm honest, the end is the thing that justifies this rating, it's amazing how from the black and White parte to the ending there are the only that's good, and I was so satisfied when the movie ended. The villian is the best thing from the movie, and it's taken seriously from almost all the movie. But, the fest of the movie is absolute dogsh*t, the humor is trash and the other best character (Jane) is flirting with Thor ffs they were couple for 2 datos man, how can they be so annoying. The other caracteres that interested me were the GotG, and they only are on the first 10 minutes even thou they were on the trailers. Also, special mention to the **** goats they are the most unfunny, stupid and annoying thing on the film, all because the people un Marvel thinks that **** is what makes people laugh. Also, I don't know why people say that Jane should live, because it's a message to Gorr seeing someone related to a god dying that made a good thing for her daughter, that is the opposite to the god from the start, and it would difficult the development of the MCU with such powerful Hero (also It happens the same in the comics). Honestly, I think that you should try to not to rage with the ****ty humor because, overall, the good thing outstand the bad things, and the música they choosed is just epic. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This film had great potential, unfortunately wasted to make way infinite jokes and pseudo-comic moments that interrupt, in my opinion, the continuity and immersion of the viewer into the story: Gorr, the killer of the gods. A beautiful script could have been done with this premise. But some changes were needed, in my opinion. Thor could have stopped being a fool from the beginning to the end of the movie, more subplots could have developed. Instead the result is a noisy, sometimes cringe movie. The part with Zeus/Russell Crowe was also very embarrassing. Positive note for Christian Bale, but his talent has been wasted in such a superficial plot. Natalie Portman excellent in the role of the Mighty Thor; otherwise, the movie is enjoyable in small sections, but disappointing overall. MCU/Disney believe that using the same card (Waititi) just because a movie (Ragnarok) came out great, can guarantee success. Not really, you know? In this movie, everything is exaggerated, the comic tempos, the music, the jokes (endless, endless jokes ...) in the end aren't even funny anymore. On the other hand, the great inclusiveness for Korg's fathers and Valkirya's dead girlfriend is very positive. This aspect could have been even better if the plot had been supported by decent dialogues and story development. In the end, it is like a parody of Thor.

I must say that the whole phase 4 of the MCU is turning out to be a mega galactic disappointment, and the products of the TV series are enough proof of this. With the exception of Loki, WandaVision and as movie Spiderman - No Way movie, the rest of the products are really mediocre.

I kinda feel the magic finished with Endgame. They should really work harder to give the audience some good movies. Special effects and good feelings are not enough to make a good product.

It is clearly aimed at children with constant jokes throughout the movie. Length is surprisingly long with very few action scenes and the few action scenes there are pale in comparison to the ones from the previous Thor movies. The villain is an interesting idea that was executed very poorly in this movie. For a so-called god killer you really don't see him killing any gods except for one but it was very comical and very child-like like something you'd expect from a kindergarten school play. I feel they wasted so much time on someone's illness that could have been better spent by showing us the villain actually killing some gods. 5/10 a decent watch with your kids, not really worth watching otherwise even if you're a fan of Thor. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I enjoyed it, but I think it had some major plot flaws, likewise some terrible decisions re characterisation. Like by the mid-point of the film, they know where Gorr is, and that he's set a trap for them. So they go to the other gods for help, to have an army to fight Gorr. But when the other gods refuse them, it doesn't occur to them to ask anyone else for help! Like earth has a whole planet full of superheroes! Their goat-boat definitely could have fitted a few more people. Literally anyone would have been a big help, as when they go there's only three of them to fight Gorr.

I think another major decision mistake that is going to have consequences down the line is Zeus' stupid (and vaguely racist) comedic Greek accent. Like it is funny in a dumb sort of way, but it's a joke that gets old fast. And the post-credits scene implies that Zeus is being set up as one of the next major villains for Thor/the MCU. Imagine if Thanos had spoken in a stupid accent the entire time! You wouldn't be able to take him seriously... Any films he appears in in future will necessarily have a totally unserious tone. I feel like they've sacrificed the tone of a whole future film for a stupid joke that only lasts one scene in this one.

Anyway, in general I enjoyed it. I think the tone could have been better at times. Sometimes there is too much humour - but in general it was fine. I think some of the plot really just does not make sense though if you think about it even briefly, and they've dug themselves into a hole re the portrayel of Zeus.

The film is obsessed with being "gay" and saying absolutely nothing about that concept. Characters don't have arcs as much as they have "declaration of gayness"... and then that's it. In Ragnarok we learned that Valkyrie was part of an elite warrior squad who was slaughtered and she was the only one left alive. In this film she's exactly the same... except definitively states that she's gay, which I would SWEAR we already knew. Nothing BECOMES of that. That's, apparently, enough as it is. The same goes for Korg, who goes nowhere in the film except to definitely state that he's gay. Like... okay? 50 percent of the films running time is wasted on vague sillyness that doesn't further the plot and aren't even "jokes" per say. Just madcap silliness. This is especially egregious because the film has a FEW great ideas in the "god butcher" concept and the "dying of cancer and in superheroic denial". Even the "Thor has lost everyone he loved" meat is left on the bone.

We got a crappy movie instead of the good one that this has every right to be, and it's all due to not asking more out of Waititi.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A disappointment. There seems a total disconnect between the comedy scenes with Thor and the heavy dramatic scenes with Gorr the God Butcher (including child kidnapping) and Jane Foster (battling cancer). It definitely feels like the success of Ragnarok went to Taika Waititi’s head and no-one had the power to tell him that a lot of the jokes he has in Love and Thunder aren’t funny and too often undermine the Thor character who comes across as a bit of a dill by the end. The one actor who shines is Russell Crowe who is fantastic as Zeus. The CGI is very ordinary too. Expand

In total honesty, gone are the days where I'd become excited and overjoyed for the newest MCU film. In my eyes, the MCU's golden age ended with 'Avengers: Endgame' and it just hasn't been the same since. For the most part, we've been plagued with films that simply feel like obvious afterthoughts or expertly-written epilogue fanfiction at best, and this one is no exception. Riddled with an absurd amount of corny moments including but not limited to flying/screeching Taylor Swift goats, Thor riding his Stormbreaker axe like a witch on a broomstick, Thor caught in a jealousy love triangle with his old hammer MjoInir and his Stormbreaker axe and talking to them quite often throughout the film, random accents galore (Valkyrie now suddenly has a British accent and Russell Crowe's Zeus's accent is beyond silly, all over the place, and impossible to pinpoint), etc. The list goes on and on. Not even the performances can really save this one, as Hemsworth remains charming yet goofy to a fault in this one, and Bale's Gorr simply loooked and felt like a Voldemort ripoff. For me, the film's biggest standout star was Portman's Mighty Thor. Watching her carry the hammer and kicking ass was incredibly fun and satisfying to watch. The Guardians of the Galaxy also make a brief appearance at the beginning of the film that felt fun but mostly rushed and wasted unfortunately. Like I said before, the story and writing simply feels like fanfiction material at this point in the MCU and the stakes and emotions never feel as high anymore. So overall, while it's big, bright, and does have its fair share of enjoyable action sequences and a solid action performance from Portman in particular, this 'Thor' still feels like too much of a burnout like the rest of Phase 4 of the MCU has felt so far for the most part and is simply just a jumbled and corny mess. I rate it 5.5. The first part was ok even though many hit and miss jokes and plot much more boring than in previous, but second part just got stale and even for me, who watched it for Waititi type jokes as in previous Thor, this was not good.

The events of the film are interesting, so as Thor Ragnarok, but, once again, they prefer comedy towards epicness and drama in situations that are mainly dramatic. Every scene must finish with a joke, -sometimes really silly jokes-, breaking the rythm and climax of the film.

The visuals are ok most of the times but god sometimes they are awful. Gorr the god butcher started of well with a sneak peek of his backstory (which was the best part of the movie btw). After that he is pretty your typical marvel villain i have grown tired of.In the end he also has a great scene.
The movie def has a better 2nd half because it get's more serious. Still some stupid jokes but it also has some good moments. This movie might have actually been solid if a lot of the jokes got cut out. It ruins the flow of the movie . The movie also feels strangely tied together imo , i have a feeling a lot of scenes got cut out.
It's time for marvel to give more time for their visuals , plus give a more serious tone for the story because you are ruining source material.

The elements the movie use to move the (bad) plot are pretty lazy, such as how Jane becomes Thor or how Thor 'leaves' the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Gorr wasn't that great in HQs and he isn't anything at all in the movie. He is not menacing, his motivations don't really make sense considering how the plot moves.

The most promising arc (the god city thingy) is just thrown away by the famous naked-Thor scene, being solved in 10 minutes and not showing anything at all.

Lastly, the movie tries to build a "relationship" with Thor and his axe, and that is too thrown away in the end, along with all the development he had since Infinity War. Oh well.

With the exception of Loki, it doesn't seem like it's going to be very clear where this story is headed and Thor: Love and Thunder won't be the one to explain it to you.

This is a story that stands on its own, but that has caused it to fall short in that regard and also fall short for the long run because it doesn't seem that it has any kind of usefulness in the grand scheme of things.

I've never had a problem with the humor in the MCU, I'm not a sourpuss, but Taika Waititi turned this film into nothing more than a succession of gags that make of Thor a joke and all the other characters, have to follow his stupidity.

Natalie Portman shines in her best moments, but her story arc is only a step for the climax and closure of Thor's storyline.
Tessa Thompson is only there because the story cast her as the King of Asgard while once again Marvel wastes an excellent actor like Christian Bale on a villain who in the comics was epic, but in the film gets severely overlooked.

Thor: Love and Thunder is colorful piece of work that functions more as a comedy than a superhero film and gets lost in the grandiloquence of its own conceit, while offering nothing for the character or the rest of the MCU.
It's one of the weakest entries of the franchise and a major disappointment for the character.

At the end of the credits we find the usual caption: ''Thor will return''. If so, what Marvel desperately needs to do is take him off Waititi's hands

And then the rest happened...so inconsistent in tone, no cohesiveness between the scenes, plot loopholes - a lot of things just didn't make sense or were stupid in a bad way. The fight scenes were also dumbed down multiple times which were disappointing.
On a positive note I do have to highlight the visual effects, the humour and Christian Bale's performance, and I would like to nominate him as one of the top 3 best villians in MCU.

"Kill Your Idols" ("Ammazza il tuo Pantheon")

A filler “episode” of the saga. Begins with nothing, ends with nothing, leads to nothing. Thor: Love and Thunder is a pointless movie; relentless, also unapologetic.

Love and Thunder is the result of trying to be funny no matter the costs - be it character development or even the plot. It has a few laughs, but nothing that would justify the lengths it takes to get there.

Humor is an important tool. However, this film fails to understand when and where it should be used. Mixed with uncomfortable acting and cliche roles, you get quite a dull, predictable film with horrendous CGI.

The material is compelling, emotional, and the ground for a FANTASTIC movie, Bale was A tier but the mood was bipolar. It was irreverent in the worst way given the weight of the events that played out in the film. A kids comedy about death, betrayal, lost love, and the loss of faith, yay. Expand
