Очень обидно,перед просмотром пересмотрел трилогию и как оказалось очень зря,на контрасте с ней она еще больше бездарней и унылей ,я до последнего защищал её и не смотрел никакие сливы и обзоры,что бы там неМАТРИЦА 4: УНИЖЕНИЕ ФАНАТОВ
Очень обидно,перед просмотром пересмотрел трилогию и как оказалось очень зря,на контрасте с ней она еще больше бездарней и унылей ,я до последнего защищал её и не смотрел никакие сливы и обзоры,что бы там не говорили о тайном смысле и другие оправдалки ,но это не матрица ,здесь нет круто поставленных сцен ,саунд дизайна, интригующего сюжета, завораживающих моментов, проработанного сценария, ощущения неизбежности при встрече с агентами ,нету ни какой эпичности ,крутого графена, операторской работы ,та даже стиля ,нету ничего из того, что сделало матрицу культовой!!!! Весь фильм меня не покидало чувство ,что это малобюджетный высер,закос, честно в первые же минуты,уже все видно,но ты думаешь это только сначала ,а потом встреча с Морфиусом и ты понимаешь что все ,но надежда остается ,но каждая следующая встреча с персонажами просто плюет тебе в лицо,а потом плевки сменяют,на броски огромными какахами,это не обратимо ,фонтан говна был запущен ,все так убого что ты просто не веришь, думаешь да нет,сейчас все будет,а на таймлайне уже 63 минута ,моя жена сказала,что лучше сделать вид,что этого фильма не существует и просто забыть,но как это забыть ,меня как будто публично изнасиловали, как такое забыть... Я считаю ,что за такое надругательство над фанбазой и скотское отношение ,нужно уголовное наказание и я не шучу!!!… Expand

I was so looking forward to this film. It was one of my biggest hyped movies of the year. Hot damn was I disappointed. From bad special effects to terrible fight scenes and acting. Matrix 1 is a Masterpiece, Matrix 2 is Great, Matrix 3 is Okay and Matrix 4 is a heartless piece of garbage movie that was only made for the purpose of making some $$$. It is even referenced in the movie that the only reason they made thisMatrix 1 is a Masterpiece, Matrix 2 is Great, Matrix 3 is Okay and Matrix 4 is a heartless piece of garbage movie that was only made for the purpose of making some $$$. It is even referenced in the movie that the only reason they made this was to have another sequel to make some cash out if the franchise!!

So why is this movie so f*cking bad? Well first of all the casting is terrible. We did get the Original actors for Neo and Trinity (Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss) BUT we didn't get the original actors for Morpheus and Agent Smith??? Those four characters are the main characters of the franchise and we only got half of the Original actors? Wtf?! It's not like the story is so complex and well thought out that there is a reason that you CAN'T bring the original actors back. Also the original Actors (Hugo Weaving and Laurence Fishburne) seem to still be active on the movie scene so I just don't see any reason to not bring them back at all. Anyway, a sequel without these original actors is already not worthy but dont worry, not only is the casting bad but the Story (and anything else) is also f*cking trash. Basically the Story is this: Neo and Trinity were resurrected by the Machines somehow so that they can trap then into a new version of the Matrix for reasons. Now a random girl who was awakened from the Matrix because she saw Neo once wants to save Neo and Trinity from the Matrix with a random guy who is Morpheus now for no reason (btw Morpheus is now a program that is designed to save the One because the people who made this forgot how the story of The Matrix works) After they manage to give the red pill to Neo by showing him a clip from Matrix 1 they go out to save Trinity BUT for NO REASON AT ALL (and this time I'm serious) Agent Smith is back (not really but we already discussed that) also normal people can be zombies and stand in their way and all that.

The story is bad as you might have realized by now but there are actually a few nice ideas like how in the new version of the Matrix where Neo and Trinity are trapped in, the Matrix franchise exists as a video game franchise made by Neo. Sounds like a fun idea but unfortunately they used this to make as many throwbacks to the previous movies as possible without taking logic into consideration.

Okay, the Casting sucks, the Story sucks but at least the fighting, choreography, effects and action are good right? I mean there are a lot of videogames for example where the story is bad but the gameplay is good. Well, in this moronic movie EVERYTHING is bad. The Fighting and Choreography is not like Matrix at all, they just throw each other on the ground instead of using kung fu with guns like badasses. The effects are most of the time fine but sometimes hilariously bad, there was a simple scene where somebody shot someone and there was just a blood effect that looked like a f*cking gif.

Okay enough of the rant. Basically: Bad Movie, don't watch. But If you want to see for yourself why this movie sucks ass then PLEASE Pirate it. Don't give them your money for such a piece of **** movie. It's not even a movie that is funny because it's so bad, it's just boring and sad...… Expand

I am a huge Matrix fan. When the originals came out, I even bought clothes that looked like characters. The first three movies were all good even though the third was lacking a bit, I think. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Even at their most tedious points, the original trilogy was always engaging at some level. You were invested Neo's story, and wanted to witness it to its conclusion. But now there is this. A movie not just incredibly cynical or on-the-nose regarding Hollywood throwing out remakes and reboots, but a movie that makes everything that happened in the trilogy utterly pointless. Further, Matrix Resurrections looks like a TV movie. From the slowed-down from 24fps action (typically you shoot at a higher framerate for slo-mo) to the mediocre action scenes that could be from any streaming action movie. And brace yourselves for the laugh-out-loud wire work in the final scenes. Yes, we've gone from the mind-bending bullet time of the original movie to actors visibly bouncing on hidden wires. One of the most disappointing movies I've watched.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There is simply no excuse for the sloppy, lazy debacle, that is Matrix Resurrections. Compared to the original masterpiece, this just looks bad. The grading is off, the cinematography is bad, the fight choreography is slow and almost apathetic.
The "powers", Neo uses, are boring, because is kinda like a one-trick pony. The plot is non-sensical, lacking the drive and clarity, that made the original so mesmerising. You don't care about any of the secondary characters.
And I really don't understand why agent Smith does what he does, and why the hell we get an agent in f***ing loafers!!!! And why hell Morpheus is dressed as as pimp!!!
The movie also just kinda brushes over what happened after "Revolutions" and offers a very vague explanation of why thing are the way, they are.
It's just a badly conceived movie with an even worse execution.
On the plus side, this is hopefully the last movie in the Matrix-franchise… Expand

I only even went to see this because a friend of mine was a big matrix fan (Key words there "Was") and wanted to know how Neo and Trinity are still alive since they both died in 3. Well lets just say he was really disappointed with it and well Like i said I didnt care.
If you are a Die Hard Matrix fan you will see this most likely no matter what i say but you may want to consider not seeing it to preserve your enjoyment of the original Trilogy if you are not a fan of woke trash being shoved down your throat.… Expand

WB should never have made 2 or 3, and they sure as certain should not have made this garbage. This should never have been a franchise - and it really has to be over now.… Expand

wow just wow....this is just bad fanfic. I guess we now know which one of the siblings was responsible for the better ideas, writing and directing of the prev GOOD matrix movies.

Huge matrix fan here. This movie is an embarrassment. The fight choreography, cinematography, plot and character progression are a HUGE downgrade from the first three films. It would be so easy to make something good, and they made something awful. The blur effects felt like an indie movie from the SciFi channel. It goes as far as destroying aspects of the trilogy that made them good. Don't waste a minute on this.

The best part of this movie was all the clips of the first Matrix movie that were shown throughout this film. Bad story, bad acting. Neo acted more like Ted. Hopefully this movie will serve as a vehicle to introduce new people to the first 3 movies.

This was the third worst movie I've ever seen. Only Eraserhead and wonderwoman 1984 are lower on my list.

As is common in today's movies, political correctness, leftist propaganda, and perversion are promoted at the expense of plot.This was the third worst movie I've ever seen. Only Eraserhead and wonderwoman 1984 are lower on my list.

As is common in today's movies, political correctness, leftist propaganda, and perversion are promoted at the expense of plot. When you have no moral foundation, you have nothing to fight for. As a result the film descends into meaningless nihilism.

There is no real motivation for the protagonist, outside of a vague desire for a woman he doesn't know and who's already married and has children. That fact simply doesn't matter to the writers. The family can and should be tossed aside to satisfy your cravings.

The antagonist also has no motivation. There is no particular reason to enslave neo outside of him being a better battery. Various useless conflicts are engineered to try to recreate the 1999 action movie, but actually fail and are boring by comparison.

The most cringe-worthy moments are when the movie breaks the 4th wall and embeds the original matrix movie as a "game" within the current movie. It's a horrible plot device that cheapens the whole franchise.

Hopefully this movie will die a quick death. They spent millions on poorly implemented special effects and completely ignored any sort of plot. Find good writers before you waste your money on effects. Meanwhile movie viewers can avoid wasting money on this mess.… Expand

Truly excruciating to watch, like a bad, really bad, fan-film. A wannabe, without even a single moment to enjoy. And not one moment of "bullet-time" even though they mention it (and show it in flashback shots). Really bizarre.
I wonder if it would have been better with both Wachowski's at the helm? Saying that, Matrix had it's time with a complete beginning, middle and end (even though I wasn't a fan of 2 & 3), so there's no need to bother continuing it now. I assume Hugo Weaving turned it down after reading the abomination of a script?… Expand

Compare this movie to the original Matrix which came out in 1999, the original had better music, better edited and flow, better more memorable supporting cast, costume design, fight choreography, tension and tone, momentum, style, etc. The original had so many badass scenes. The only line I remember Apoc having, was when he turned to Neo and handed him a gun, and said "I hope the Oracle gave you some good news." With just one line he was more memorable than any of the new crew in Resurrections. Switch, in her all white, first introduced by pointing a handcannon at Neo in the car. She was badass. Matrix Resurrections is a parody of the original Matrix, and is a fan-fiction version of it. Neo is ridiculous in this movie, as all he does is this Jedi 'force-push' move to protect himself. There is a bootleg Morpheus in here, which does NOT work. They think the audience can tolerate this replacement of Morpheus... they are wrong. Same thing with the replacement of Agent Smith, which calls Neo 'Tom', instead of Mr. Anderson (WTF?). All of this DOES NOT work. Also, the villain is corny and cringe. Nothing about this movie moved the Matrix series narrative any further. Another review said it perfectly that this was wholly unnecessary. If you're not adding anything of substance to it, don't bother. Because then all you're doing is sullying the franchise name. The only thing this movie does is elevate the 1999 original to higher levels -- a different league, since this movie in comparison is such a downgrade. I am left thankful that Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus) and Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith) get not get dragged down by this.… Expand

This movie comes across as an attempt to use the franchise for attention or to simply not leave warner bros in control of making the next sequel which is literally brought up in the movie and I can fully believe would be the actual reasoning behind the making of this sequel, the only way this could have worked is if it was broken up into a mini series for TV and all the different plot points taken and extremely expanded upon like with the animatrix which had some great ideas and didn't require neo or trinity and still added alot of lore and thought to the overall world, the cinematoraphy, the soundtrack, the fight scenes, even the majority of the dialogue is just so subpar and I notice the positive reviews focus on this power couple aspect, but that was already established all this does is reasserts that again with a dreary plot and so much fan service it almost offends the senses even to those that love it, many of them comparing spiderman to this as if for some reason they cannot understand that spiderman did not take an unsteady boot to it's franchise and delivered on what fans would have liked to see while still surprising them, the matrix gives the beloved fans of it's franchise nothing they wanted and every surprise is more of question of why? why would you make this? why not create a new movie to explore what you wanted to say because this was just not it at all.… Expand

I was absolutely blown away by this film and it is certainly one of my all time favorites. The sequels were not quite as good but definitely still had their moments of action, intrigue, and spectacle. After seeing Resurrections I'm now convinced that they never should've gone beyond the original. Resurrections makes Revolutions look like Citizen Kane, despite all the flaws the trilogy's finale had. I knew this latest entry to the series was not going to be as good as the original trilogy, but nothing could've prepared me for how bad this movie actually was.

The first red flag is the fact that this film has to constantly remind you of how much better the first film was. About a third of the film is either trying to sloppily recreate the most iconic scenes and imagery of the first film, or is literally just showing you those scenes within the film. Then there's all the "meta" self-awareness the film has, which could have been a clever plot device but is done in such a painfully cringy way that it feels like they don't want you take this film seriously. Neo's powers are completely nerfed and it's pretty obvious that Keanu is now too old to do kung fu. Agent Smith and Morpheus are just cheap knock-offs of Weaving and Fishburne, and I can't blame those two for not wanting to return to this trainwreck of a sequel. Instead of the Architect we have the "Analyst" who is an actual exposition machine and explains any necessary plot points when the story needs to move forward. There are a lot of cool ideas like a machine civil war that get briefly mentioned and then are never spoken of again, even though these could've been fascinating concepts to explore. The new characters are like forgettable NPCs, which is fitting considering that the film's first angle is to say the Matrix was just a video game. They even introduce one of the most cliche concepts they could possibly throw into this franchise, zombies. Yes that's right, there are now zombies in the Matrix. You might be wondering if at least the action is any good... well, it isn't. The fight choreography also feels like a huge downgrade from the entire Matrix trilogy.

There are so many things wrong with this movie, from the script, to the casting, to the execution, and so on. It's a nostalgia-bait cash-grab that destroys everything the franchise had worked to achieve, and based on Lana Wachowski's statements this was probably intentional. I understand wanting to make a commentary about the film industry, sequels, etc., but that could've been accomplished without creating such a disjointed mess. This is one of the most disappointing sequels ever made, if not the worst sequel in the history of film. I'd prefer to be like Neo and believe that this movie is not real.… Expand

Scenes feel pointless, weird and incoherent. The movie feels like a politically left leaning tv series who's two sets are a coffee shop with soy latte hipsters and their office they work at. This isn't what anyone wanted.

I can't stress enough how bad this film is. The last 3 are art by comparison. Don't ruin your day by watching this.… Expand

In viewing The Matrix(1999) today, many current real world issues and commentary are discussed in great detail, setting this film as a visionary masterpiece. Now, there were two other Matrix films shortly released after the original that diverted from the apparent beaten path laid down by the original - not part of this discussion. Have you ever brought food home from the restaurant that, when originally served tasted immaculate, but just doesn't taste(or look) the same reheated at home - well, The Matrix Resurrections(2021) is such an example. Taking the leftovers of The Matrix(1999), The Matrix Reloaded(2003) and The Matrix Revolutions(2003) from the refrigerator after 20 years, mixing it all into one container then sticking it in the microwave and expecting the same taste and freshness from when it was first prepared.....no, that's not going to happen. The Matrix Resurrections(2021), also known as The Matrix Regurgitations or The Matrix Resuscitations or.....crap is a retelling of the original trilogy adapted for 2021. Gone are the extensional meanings of decades past and in place are the 21st century paint-by-numbers, gone are the groundbreaking special effects and in place is something that could have been produced by a CW Network team. The original concepts of L̶a̶r̶r̶y̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶A̶n̶d̶y̶ ̶ Lana and Lilly fall off the bridge and into the void below within the first 5 minutes of these reheated leftovers. This movie was hilariously awful, but I ain't laughing. As someone who REGULARLY binges the original Matrix trilogy ((much like anything Disney barring the Mandalorian relating to Star Wars (thus far)), it really shows as a sign of the timesThis movie was hilariously awful, but I ain't laughing. As someone who REGULARLY binges the original Matrix trilogy ((much like anything Disney barring the Mandalorian relating to Star Wars (thus far)), it really shows as a sign of the times that a movie literally cannot be made unless it's showing some kinds of things that as a white male, I'm not allowed to talk about on the internet. A good movie, does not need to lean anywhere near as hard on its source material as this one did. Literally every throwback to the original movies, I knew was going to happen before it did. The bit at the end where Trinity is looking at the sky, I was sitting there saying "don't you dare say it, I swear to god, do not say it", and then cursed the movie aloud for the god knows how many'th time for it literally just doing what the old movies did to be relevant to fans. The best way to describe it is that in one of MauLer's videos, he explains that the prequel Star Wars movies are bad, but the reasons they're bad is complicated, whereas the sequel trilogy is bad and it's obvious why. This movie, is the latter, if you took out every reference to the original trilogy of Matrix movies, you'd still have give or take 20 minutes of really awful movie to slog through. There's nothing new here, there's nothing impressive, the one "big" fight scene of the movie was unimpressive, the two or three smaller fight scenes were awfully choreographed considering all the work that was done in the original movies. Returning the Merovingian (I think), had literally no impact on the movie, and only using flashbacks of Hugo Weaving and Laurence Fishburne is some kind of sin, which is only further compounded by completely replacing both of them with other actors. I have never, in my 30 years of watching movies, watched something as self-fellatory as this movie.

Also, the memories of someone being used by a games development company? Where have I heard that plotline before? Oh that's right, ASSASSIN'S CREED IV BLACK FLAG. Worst thing is, I have to watch this awful mess at least 2-3 more times just for a stupid review that even I don't care enough to write or record. Wish me luck folks.… Expand

"omg" what a heaping pile of ****.. no atmosphere or music score, this was honestly terrible to the point I was falling asleep during the first half of the movie which seemed like I was watching a parody or some weird premovie interview.. all"omg" what a heaping pile of ****.. no atmosphere or music score, this was honestly terrible to the point I was falling asleep during the first half of the movie which seemed like I was watching a parody or some weird premovie interview.. all the lame*** jokes and innuendo, all of the stupid references to gaming nfts and metaverse, all the flashbacks.. all the forced propaganda and feministic garbage being pushed down my throat made me want to vomit. the second half with all of the awful special effects which honestly look way worse than the first or any other matrix movie.. like the parts when they try to replicate agent Smith's movements him punching look so much worse than the original in 1999.. the plot is completely all over the place and doesn't make any ******* sense.. I had no idea wtf is going on, most of the script and dialogue being ineligible and incoherent. I was so stoked to go see this, even though I got hbo max we went to the movies for the full experience and it is just mindblowingly bad. i wanted to walk out halfway through the movie, it was the worst two and a half hours of my life wasted away. nothing makes any sense.. it triggered my depression to overtake me and gave me a headache.. the trailer for it looked amazing, the movie is nothing like the trailer leads you to believe it will be. I don't recall seeing a single scene having the original agent smith in it, instead you get a lukewarm soft spoken feminine baby face guy and its just the same with morpheus.. it's just full of weirdos who are completely laughable and forgettable and I can't tell what gender they are and then there is Neil patrick harris.. the action scenes and shootouts are atrociously bland and I couldn't focus or understand what was happening.. what a ******* trainwreck!!!… Expand

This movie is genuinely atrocious. Terrible. The worst thing about this movie is that it is truly, genuinely **boring**. Don not pay money for this movie.
