Didn’t love it, I love Jared Leto. I think he did an amazing job like he always DNA’s, But I didn’t like the storyline, it had no character development and storyline had holes in it. They needed to work on the script a bit. The CGI was goodDidn’t love it, I love Jared Leto. Not much here to go on, so thin and meandering. The final climax is so dark and hard to follow, the humor is nowhere to be found. The side and supporting characters are paper thin.

Ya this is pretty horrendous. A cheap, messy and uninteresting origin tale that feels like it came from the early 2000s. I would not recommend watching this unless if you’re looking for torture methods, but it’s the kind of film you really need to see for yourself to recognize how truly awful it is. Performances are flat and lifeless, the action is messy and muddled, and the writing is the worst I’ve seen in a long time. Events happen out of nowhere, with little to no context. It feels like chunks of this movie are missing. This could be due to a shorter than usual runtime, sloppy editing, or a combination of the two. Sony, stop with these villain/anti-hero movies. I suppose a terrible box office performance could signal the beginning of the end, but we already know of 3 more villain/anti-hero movies in the works and one can only hope they are better than this. The cinematic atrocity, also known as Morbius. Is worse than Suicide Squad(2016). I suppose the only positive takeaway was the meme culture inspired by this film.… Expand

Hey, remember Venom?
Not a great movie, but was enjoyable because the main character was likable?
Now take Morbius. A vampire who drinks fake blood, has some unnamed disease, keeps bats in his lab randomly... And take Jared Leto, anHey, remember Venom?

Now take Morbius. A vampire who drinks fake blood, has some unnamed disease, keeps bats in his lab randomly...

And take Jared Leto, an untalented actor(kind of a jerk too, with the method acting), as well as a bunch more mediocre actors. Then, stir with muddy special effects, poor writing, and finally sprinkle with Michael Morbius not being likable at all. You get this movie.

As for Jared Leto......... Cursed! CURSED! CUUUUUURRRRRRSSSSSED! Inability to achieve in a role from a graphic novel series! I normally dunk on Leto for trying too hard in whatever role he's in, but in this film... Dude just mumbles his way through dreary dialog, with very little substance and doesn’t give the audience a reason to care about his character. And don’t even get me STARTED on the villain. Dude was cringe and not even in a fun way.

If I were to give the movie props for TWO things, it would be that the visuals were kinda cool to look at. All the "shadow dashing" was fun to watch and the fights were cool. I also like that the movie was short, and I’m not saying I’m glad the movie was short because it was bad. Like, on God yo, I’m sick of movies being 2.5 – 3 hours long, LET’S HEAR IT FOR SHORT MOVIES!!!… Expand

This movie endangers the continuity of the MCU, which Sony does not own, I wish they could stop trying to interfere with it and instead start a separate Spider-Man 2099 cinematic universe.

I thought that Leto struck the right tone with the character and that Matt Smith was an inspired choice for the villain. That's about it, the casting was solid, everything else was a disaster. The editing, especially at the end was baffling. It's as though the producers were given six months to shoot, and at the last minute told they had to complete it in one. The two end credit scenes will make you want to crawl out of your skin. I really wanted to enjoy this, I thought it started out well, got progressively worse, and ended so abruptly I felt I missed half the movie.… Expand

After this movie it should be a crime that Sony continues to have the rights to Spiderman, hopefully Marvel will return them and stop making these **** spin-offs, they can't wait for the Morbius movie starring Joaquin Phoenix

Never in my life would I have thought that I will come out of a movie and not be able to name at least a single good thing about it. Depois de ser adiado muitas e muitas vezes, Morbius tente ter uma história de suspense, tensão e ser mais serio que Venom: Tempo de Carnificina(2021) que é outra bosta, mas a história acaba quando ele faz o antidoto, isso em 15 minutos de filme, e o problema que ainda falta 1h25m de filme, e como eles preenchem esse temo? com roteiro e dialogo podres, atuações horrorosas, vilão sem sentido, lutas de CGIS mal feitas, e cenas pós-créditos que também não faz sentido, e a única coisa boa é os créditos.

Yeah it’s just as bad as you’ve heard it is. Funny at points but really really bad. The writing feels very half baked as if the writers didn’t finish the story and just went with what was written. No kind of calm after. The movie just ends there. It feels like they wanted to do more but were just too lazy to do it. The actual story is incredibly boring and confusing. Scenes just kind of happen with a very thin reasoning for it. The film doesn’t truly know what it wants to be. There really aren’t any characters here. No one has any sort of character journey or arc. They just do things because the plot tells them to. Matt Smith’s goal in the movie is just that he wants to kill people. This isn’t established at all in the flashbacks or even in the present day. He just wants to. Speaking of Matt Smith, he is easily my favorite aspect of the movie. Call if Doctor Who Bias but Matt Smith knew what this movie should have been. A goofy comic book movie and he absolutely 100% delivers on that. His presence and performance genuinely made this film so much easier to get through and his performance is truly great even if he has no character. Jared Leto is just kind of there. His performance really isn’t good or bad. Not worth doing all of that awful method acting he was doing for this movie. The post credit scene is probably one of if not the worst post credit scenes ever made. It completely character assassinated Michael Keaton’s Vulture in the span of 30 seconds and it feels like an afterthought and that they filmed it the day before the movie released. If you were to see this movie, watch it with friends. It’s probably more enjoyable that way because you’ll most likely being making fun of it the whole time.… Expand

It's Morbin time! I loved how the characters were written in this movie, good effort on the producers part. And the CGI being animated was a cool bonus.
