It feels like it's in desperate need for a re-write. Perhaps nobody wanted to question Cameron's judgement? Who knows. I don't feel it was wasted time because Cooper and the two female leads are so much fun to watch. They just deserved better material. For a vastly superior Hawaii movie, just rent The Descendants from Alexander Payne, another virtuoso director at the top of his game. Expand

There's no denying that writer/director Cameron Crowe has a wonderful way with words, but his focus is scattered. The story is sometimes confusing and the action sometimes seems unmotivated. What's undeniable is that every performance is terrific: the characters are engaging and there's dynamic energy between all of the actors. The film starts out with a snappy attitude and plenty of promise, but the screenplay gets lost and ultimately turns mushy (that last scene especially). Expand

I was led up to this movie thanks to that very thought. I thought it would gain a 10 because Cooper and Stone are on top of my top 10 actors list. I don't know whether I was wrong or right to enter this movie. I mean, this movie completely blew me out; it disappointed me in an aspect.
I mean, I am not saying this movie was dogcrap, it wasn't, don't get me wrong, but this movie felt so heavy and so convoluted with so many unecessary things and dialogue, that simply made it boring.
I never saw such a forced presence as Bill Murray in this movie. I mean, he didn't need to be here. Also, the script felt like it was made for a person who has a phD in linguistics and communication, because they didn't keep the dialogue mellow enough for the audience to understand what is going on. They use intense and very big words in a highly advanced vocabulary. And that is what made this movie so boring.
I gotta give it some props though: Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone killed it (even though they didn't have any chemistry) and Rache McAdams wasn't bad in her role either. The three of them were awesome, but that doesn't make the fill enough to make me ignore all the flaws this movie has. So it's a no but a yes.

But, there are memorable romantic scenes that in the future, we're surely awed of those scenes. We knew exactly that this is suppose to be a comedy, but it seems the problem of the military mission to Hawaii is very serious. It's just, they're not digging enough about the story from Hawaiian citizen perspectives about this military mission. It reminds me of The Descendants, which is very awesome to deliver between sides from the Hawaiian citizens with the main characters. So, yes, not really good. Though, I really love the whole conclusion endings, it was touched and awed and so memorable. Especially for Bradley Cooper and Jason Krasinski. They both are really got the best scenes ever. I gave the medium score for those treasure scenes. Also, there's Bill Murray ending scene, which really a bit awe, too. It feels like, "They should not put a heavy materials when they can do such great scenes in the end. It seems like I miss the relationship between Bradley and Bill Murray, or Jason Krasinski more. It's just not dig deep, you know. Lots of things to be funnier, but turns out really just, fine."
The performance from Emma Stone in here was really cute, too. Tho, predictable. I really miss her to be Gwen Stacy. I hate that idea of reboot Spiderman. I need more Gwen Stacy from her! But, by the way, Emma Stone was really not good to be Hawaiian. It's just, she's too tense. Like there's a scene she's trying to share her thoughts about Hawaiian dance, it's just... not work out. But, I really love the whole veranda scenes and phone-tapping thing. It's so memorable and invention? Well. :)

It really dose hurt when a movie you being looking forward to turns out to be a big disappointment, what hurts more is that it was a huge miss opportunity for being something great.

The story is about celebrated military contractor returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs - the US Space program in Honolulu, Hawaii - and reconnects with a long-ago love while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog assigned to him.

Aloha was my most anticipated film of 2015 just because of the big name cast and the director himself, I mean Cameron Crowe as a film making is just amazing, yeah he had some down falls with his movie but he also made some fantastic movies that today is he's best work. Say Anything, Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous was him at his prime and judging by the trailer of this movie he looked like he was going back to his best, that's why I was looking forward to it. After seeing the movie... this movie sucks, I mean what a freaking disappointment this movie was. 2015 so far has so hard hitting disappointments and this is one of them.

Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Bill Murray and Rachel McAdams all do fine in they roles and what they had to work with. They didn't do anything special in the movie just okay and to me that's the biggest waste of talent, I mean you got big name actors in this movie and they do alright performance. Just a waste.

There's moments in this movie were it was a bit interesting with the dialogue from the character's and the overall setting of the movie, but even that doesn't last very long.

Now for problems: The chemistry between Bradly Cooper and Emma Stone dose not work at all, I mean they had zone chemistry with each other and I thought it will be best if they were like best friends not lovers.

Bill Murray has nothing to do in this movie, but in the trailer for this movie he gave such a moving and true to life speech and I couldn't wait to see it in the movie I mean even if the movie wasn't so good at least I get to here the speech right? well that didn't happen at all and Bill Murray himself has got nothing to do in this movie, so that's another waste right there.

The movie itself is dull and it feels like a 4 hour movie at times with the messy pasting and the uninteresting character's. I wanted this movie to be great I really did, but it sadly came off as a mess of the film that could have been so much better.

This movie was to say plainly: not very good. Although the acting and overall movie quality wasn't bad at all, the plot went completely awry from the start. It was most of the time very difficult to follow.
