There is just so much original thinking that went into this design, and it really forces you to strategize and play in whole new ways. Each encounter in the game is a new chance to plan some crafty tactics or just go in guns blazing. Rogue Trooper is a fantastic action experience and gets my highest recommendation for being added to your permanent game library.

Official Xbox Magazine UKThis is solidly built, quality gaming, made by a team that's put a lot of care into adapting the license. [June 2006, p.62]
-
It's amazing when you sit down with a game that you had the lowest of expectations for, only to find an incredibly well put together experience.
-
While it doesn't innovate in any one particular area, it keeps the action fresh by giving the player a ton of flexibility.
-
It's a decent adventure game that has some really interesting ideas on gameplay. It may be a tad too short, but there is some fun to be had while playing.
-
Another impressive example of Rogue Trooper's AI is clearly and believably evident in the fact that very seldom can the player pull off a long range sniper shot without being shot at in turn.
-
Rogue Trooper has some brilliance behind it. The game is exciting, fun to play, and it encourages multiple ways of taking out your enemies.
-
The abilities of your comrades adds a level of depth often missing from games of this nature and with a little experimentation can be quite rewarding.
-
It's a third-person shooter with smooth, detailed graphics, and a learning curve set so beautifully that even non- shooter fans should love it.
-
Just sort of middle-of-the-road when it comes to 3rd person shooters. The main reason is the cookie-cutter AI that seems to sort of makes the game a little too easy to play.
-
An excellent, fast paced shooter but because it launched so late in the life of the current-gen consoles, it is more likely that gamers will pick up a new 360 game or save for future PS3/Wii fare.
-
If you're looking for a very good co-op game, or a well developed single player campaign with few issues, then Rogue Trooper would be a perfect choice.
-
Rogue Trooper doesn't approach the inventiveness of a great budget TPS like last year's "Raze's Hell," but it's priced to move.
-
An enjoyable action title for those of us who have yet to jump on the 360 bandwagon.
-
The story, the graphics, and the audio are all there and really not that bad but, they just can't stand up to the very impressive gameplay.
-
While the game isn't ground breaking with any new technologies, the flexibility of the game play will keep you interested.
