There is just so much original thinking that went into this design, and it really forces you to strategize and play in whole new ways. Each encounter in the game is a new chance to plan some crafty tactics or just go in guns blazing. Rogue Trooper is a fantastic action experience and gets my highest recommendation for being added to your permanent game library.
-
It's a third-person shooter with smooth, detailed graphics, and a learning curve set so beautifully that even non- shooter fans should love it.
-
It's a decent adventure game that has some really interesting ideas on gameplay. It may be a tad too short, but there is some fun to be had while playing.
-
A strong sense of style that stays close to the source material, Rogue Trooper isn't just one for the fans however; an intensive and sometimes intelligent shooter, Rogue Trooper is certainly one that could interest you if you're looking for a shooter that's a little bit different to the usual.
-
Rogue Trooper may not be cutting edge, but as a simple, straightforward shooter, it's more than capable of delivering a quick action fix.
-
In the end, Rogue Trooper is a technically solid game. It's intuitive, looks and plays great…but it's really not all that compelling.
-
Feels more like basic training than hard-core warfare.

SaraApr 27, 2006Played PS2 version - nicely intuitive controls and some great fun to be had with "bio-chip" features. Can be a bit easy but never frustrating.
