Oct 27, 2025There are many driving games, but few allow you to enjoy an experience as comprehensive as Wreckreation. It's not perfect, but it has what it takes to have a great time for a long time.

Nov 6, 2025If you miss Burnout as much as I do, then you owe it to yourself to take Wreckreation for a spin. This is about as close as we're ever likely to get to a sequel, delivering blisteringly fast open world racing, and superb track building tools.

Nov 6, 2025The game is ambitious to say the least and I hope it flourishes. We are still early though, so who knows how long it will last. I imagine I will continue to revisit this game for the next few months to see how it is evolved. There isn’t much like this and that is exciting. I love a good arcade racing game, and mixing elements of Burnout, Trackmania, and Forza Horizon is a recipe for fun. Just how long that fun lasts though remains to be seen.

Nov 10, 2025Wreckreation feels a bit like a budget Burnout. There are interesting ideas with the Live Mix stuff to completely make your world feel unique, but when an open-world racer feels this empty, should it really fall on us to populate it?

Oct 27, 2025It may not be the most polished or spectacular racing game on a surface level, but you get used to its jank, as you fill up its immense sandbox with cool things to do – alone or with buddies – there simply is no racing game with such an exhilarating and creative sandbox out there. This in turn makes me forgive some of its oddities and problems. If the community lives up to the game’s lofty ambitions, we might have quite the game on our hands. I will surely revisit Wreckreation after launch, as I’m very curious to see how it evolves from here. [Review in progress/ Provisional Score = 80]
