    I never play sekiro but i saw it and this game reminds me of it of how it has the souls like difficulty yet has fast paced combat and the parry is just so satisfying especially when you beat the first boss.     I approached it with care because I'm not usually good at games that have deflecting as their core combat mechanics. I knew beforehand that it was a good game and decided to see how I adapted to it. After some tries, I learned the mechanics with the first boss and then found myself progressing quite consistently. Wo Long is an extremely balanced and satisfying game, and the combat is whereI approached it with care because I'm not usually good at games that have deflecting as their core combat mechanics. I knew beforehand that it was a good game and decided to see how I adapted to it. After some tries, I learned the mechanics with the first boss and then found myself progressing quite consistently. Wo Long is an extremely balanced and satisfying game, and the combat is where it shines. In terms of graphics it looks a bit dated but I didn't think that negatively affected my experience. It took me a while to understand what did the morale system really do, but after I let that sink in, it made the exploration before engaging with a boss so much more rewarding. In this game you deflect a critical attack the same way you deflect a normal attack. Unlike Sekiro where you have specific types of deflects for different types of criticals, Wo Long makes things easier to handle. Wo Long is by no means an easy game but with some persistence and mapping the enemy moveset, with tinkering with gear and leveling up your character, and by placing the flags on each battleground, the gameplay flows really good, albeit still challenging. The mobs tend to be a bit more of the same but what could be considered a negative is also an advantage as you have many more opportunities to learn individual movesets and therefore adapting your playstyle. It's a great game, it doesn't try to be anything else than what's intended, it has soul and honesty put into it. Recommended.… Expand

    As someone who already loved both Nioh games, I also love Wo Long. The combat is so much fun. Also the first game I have fun deflecting attacks. The game may look pretty outdated and a lot of the bosses aren't as good or as fun to fight as in other Souls-likes, but all in all it's an amazing game.

    Buen juego y muy divertido en cuanto a jugabilidad se refiere. El sistema de esquive es muy satisfactorio y presenta un reto muy balanceado en su dificultad. Para ponerle una pega, lo juego en Xbox series S, y si hay ciertos momentos en que la resolución cae bastante, de lo demás corre muy fluido el gameplay que es lo que importa.

    Una maravilla. Me gustó tanto que lo empecé el viernes que salió y lo acabé el domingo. Luego lo jugué en la dificultad más difícil y lo disfruté muchísimo más. En su día dejé los nioh por su dificultad, pero tras jugar a este los he retomado. He acabado el primero y ahora voy por el segundo. Son muy buenos, pero el wo long no tiene nada que envidiarles.

    Another masterpiece from Team Ninja, best game since Elden Ring.

    Do yourself a favor, no reinforcements and dismiss all Co-op bots at the start of each level (willow branch item) otherwise its super easy and no fun to play.

    Um dos melhores SoulsLike que já joguei na minha vida. O game possui uma mecanica de gameplay meio chata porem é fácil de aprender, basta ter um bom reflexo. Historia maravilhosa( diferente de Elden Ring que não tem historia) e com personagens cativantes. Resumindo game perfeito e melhor ainda, lançado no GAMEPASS melhor serviço de games da atualidade.

    Great game to play while waiting for the Shadow of the Erdtree. Most importantly - the game is really fun to play. The bosses might be not as fun as GIYOBU ... MASATAKA ... ONIWA, but still pretty decent and - again - fun to play. If you liked Sekiro - definitely worth playing.

    I don't like writing game reviews but this is the only game I've enjoyed playing in the past six months and I want to make it known that this is a fantastic experience. I love soulsborne games but never got into Nioh because of the annoying stance and stamina recovery mechanics.     Let's get real here. One should not compare all games to Elden Ring / Souls games but this game is literally just proof of how better Elden Ring is to so many other games. All the little things like level design, loot, mood, flow of combat just feel a little off here.

    The gameplay loop gets boring and repetitive fast. With really meh levels the game starts to feel like a chore to just    Let's get real here.     The gameplay loop gets boring and repetitive fast. With really meh levels the game starts to feel like a chore to just find the next checkpoints in the level and grind enough to overpower the next boss. Also the loot feels boring, just a few different weapon types that feel meh just like in Nioh.

    This game forces you to use the parry mechanic to make fights easier but lacks the finesse of Sekiro. Parrying feels more like a chore and a quick time event than a dance between warriors. The flow of combat is made worse by the unintuitive ways you can really easily get stunned by mistakes. The difficulty feels artificial rather than challenging and fair. Also random.

    Redeeming factors are the graphics which are nice and the variety in character customisation. Good thing the game is on Game Pass because I've felt disappointed paying big bucks for this. Still, if you're looking something fresh to scratch the soulslike itch this is the best we've got right now.

    On the performance side, the game runs totally fine but has fps drops in cutscenes for some reason.    … Expand

    Wo Long is a really fun well made game. The environments aren't the most exciting and the story didn't pull me in but I really enjoyed working through its challenges and learning how to overcome the bosses.
    I think the morale system is a fun way of lessening the challenge of different encounters. Although it does become a hindrance at points.     Great game but everyone going to have problems fighting the first boss and you gotta beat his beast form you die then it's back to the beginning of the fight all over again.     Un gioco in cui il gameplay la fa da padrona. Stile Sekiro, riesce a differenziarsi con l'ottimo sistema di Spirito. Boss ben differenziati e qualcuno di questi mi ha fatto divertire parecchio. Lo consiglio vivamente, soprattutto ai nostalgici del titolo nipponico di From Software.

    The latest game by Team Ninja may not be a full fledged AAA title by today’s standards, but it throws everything it has into the gameplay and the final result can easily take us back to the good old days of Ninja Gaiden games. The future looks bright for Team Ninja and I’m super excited for their upcoming game, Rise of the Ronin.
