Imagine you created Nioh, a great game set in Japan, and you have to create a similar game for China, what do you do? You create a game completely focused on parry, with a huge amount of loot with meaningless statuses and the hardest first boss possible.

Don't even bother to evade or block, it is meaningless, there is only one way in this game.

Poor copy. I had to tweak my tv to get the timings right on the tutorial boss. Then I slaughtered the next four or six until I got to one that didn't telegraph well and took up the whole map. Then there was the clone boss who was just boring and exhaustingly long. No thanks, I'd rather replay elden ring using my toes.

NIoh still has a better story, depths in characters and enemies, a better loot system, with clothing sets that gives you nice effects that make you stronger, but overall requires skill to be able get pass all its bosses, which shows stricter tough love than wo Long. This is the only inferior version to nioh that xbox users will have to enjoy, however its the closest step back version of nioh that is only available for xbox, that is still a good to play for xbox lovers. This game is doodoo butter can devs stop making garbage souls games? Like seriously this trend needs to stop. The game feels gummy and clunky but at least there's no stamina bar. The first boss is unecessarily overpowered. Don't listen to these paid positive reviews give the game a try on gamepass if you got gamepass but I do not recommend this game at all.

The difficulty is instantly high for absolutely no reason. Frustrating game, 0% fun 100% stress. Refund this garbage if you still can

Was a great game til got stuck and couldn't beat first boss, and I'm not only one. Whoever thought was great idea to put parry/deflect and dodge assigned to same button needs to be fired.

The first boss is ridiculously difficult. The first phase is simple enough but the second phase… wow. You can’t parry, dodge, get close enough to get a hit in… it’s too frustrating to even try and beat. I platinumed elden ring, the dark souls game, bloodborne… but this is just a step too far. Maybe it’s just me but I absolutely despise partying mechanics in games, sekiro was another I couldn’t get into as it FORCES you to use it. There should be multiple options to suit your play style, NOT force you into trying to parry, which frankly doesn’t even work half the time anyway. Shame really, it could have been a good game. I was enjoying it until that point. Oh well. Expand

Unbalanced with boring combat - only one move that you need to excel at and time correct - deflect. Extremely great risk you're gonna get stuck on the first boss with no way forward or sideways and it's not very difficult to get to the boss. Can't recommend you buying this unless you're a true fanboy.

I used to have this game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Digital Edition on Xbox, until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragileI used to have this game, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Digital Edition on Xbox, until Xbox banned my whole gamertag 15+ year old account with over $10k in digital games, movies, tv series, dlc all for something I posted in a GAME REVIEW yet they cant quote me as to what exactly I said and respond to my BBB complaint with "we have no obligation to provide evidence" when I violate their fragile "TOS". The multi-billion dollar business has no obligation to provide valid evidence for something so permanent as a PERMAMENT SUSPENSION FROM ACCESSING ANY OF YOUR PAID FOR CONTENT ON THEIR SYSTEM?!?! The thing is...you CANT leave any real hateful comments and cuss words in reviews or XBOX doesn't even even save them, just blanks it out like you didn't type anything at all. Also I would've never said anything that warrants this kind of permament suspension, at worst I was talking crap on EAs Sims 4 predatory gaming practices of cutting a main game up and selling it to you in 20-$40 "game & expansion packs". So the suspension is complete BS, groups of circle jerks can get together and report something you typed as offensive and it auto-bans you and some lame gamer on a power-trip volunteering for their "ambassador" program (more circle jerks with fragile egos) reviews the ban and appeal. Boycott Xbox, they don't deserve your money with their "woke" parenting of even the lamest of things like GAME REVIEWS. I literally cant even sign into my account to access offline content, its ALL GONE thanks to an Abusive system MS lets auto-handle, the first miss steps of "AI". Buyers BEWARE. Expand

Terrible controls and camera, every time you release the joystick, the camera will move a certain. The scene is repeated in this game, and the level design is very boring.

Wo Long Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is a cruel and challenging souls-like experience. However, it is more forgiving than its peers. As such, this could be a great place to start for newbies. Alongside this, it is as good alone as it is with other gamers.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty stakes everything on its combat system, a fascinating setting, and excellent game structure. However, the game remains hampered by an underwhelming technical realization and balancing problems. Still, these minor flaws do not prevent it from offering a viable option for all gamers looking for a spectacular action game.

The latest game by Team Ninja may not be a full fledged AAA title by today’s standards, but it throws everything it has into the gameplay and the final result can easily take us back to the good old days of Ninja Gaiden games. The future looks bright for Team Ninja and I’m super excited for their upcoming game, Rise of the Ronin.
