    This game was a major disappointment for me. At some points I felt like I was playing loading screen simulator (a joke, but you get the point). Also the graphics/animations were questionable at times for me. The game had so many bugs that I just couldn't immerse myself into the game's universe/story. I often found myself bored too as it seemed like the game lacked innovation/creativity.This game was a major disappointment for me. The amount if loading screens in this title that should actually be true game play such as entering or exiting orbit if a planet is INSANE!     When it comes to hobbies, theres nothing like video games and in video games, there is nothing like Bethesda. No company can ride a legacy and do absolutely nothing to further that legacy like Bethesda and Starfield exemplifies this. One of the most over hyped and under delivering games of 2023 and quite possibly the whole generation, on any platform, bar none. From the jitteryWhen it comes to hobbies, theres nothing like video games and in video games, there is nothing like Bethesda. No company can ride a legacy and do absolutely nothing to further that legacy like Bethesda and Starfield exemplifies this. One of the most over hyped and under delivering games of 2023 and quite possibly the whole generation, on any platform, bar none. From the jittery inconsistent barely 30 fps that was like razors to my eyes, to the 2 gen old outdated graphics, the ugly NPC's, the lobotomized AI, the litany of load screens, the terrible voice acting and the horrendous sound, it truly is an onslaught on the senses. The principles of design used in this game is straight out of 2004. For a game that is supposed to be the heavily exploration based and encouraged, there is almost no reason to explore, unless you want to run into an invisible wall. The game does have moments of broken brilliance, which will be used for comedic content for years to come.

    The immersion is nonexistent, nevermind it breaking. You're in space. You pick a planet. You pick an area. It loads. No hyper space, no navigating, no landing your space ship. Nothing. Just a load screen. You land and are kinda just dumped onto the "planet"... which is nothing more than a small area that is completely disconnected from the rest of the "planet". You go into a structure. It loads. You leave the structure, it loads. You go onto your ship and it pops a menu up. You pick going back to space. It loads and it spits you out in the middle of nowhere.

    This is the most uninspired and outdated game I have seen in ages. It's straight out of the OG Xbox Era. I'm scared to get smacked by a Duke controller. The space fighting is slow, clunky and boring. Many MANY games have done it better, including Wing Commander on the SNES. The saddest part of this is that it doesn't even get "good" until you beat it. Unfortunately, life is too short and I didn't feel like torturing myself anymore and tapped out after 20 hours. I'd have demanded a refund, except I got this for free and Microsoft doesn't refund their customers for wasted life force. This game should not get a pass because it is better than their other games in some ways. Especially when it is a dumpster fire compared to other space exploration games and/or other RPG's that exist today and in years past.

    Get No Man's Sky. Starfield is the Wish version of that game. Except it's over-funded. You can tell just by how homogeneous and boring that this game is, that this game nothing more than a contractual obligation... almost like Sunset Overdrive. This game is trying to take Redfall's title for worst game of the generation. Definitely "game of the generation" Xbox fans have been waiting for.    … Expand

    Stuck in last gen. Poor graphics poor performance poor character design. Certainly not the game we were let to believe. Definitely a step back by one of the best developers in the past 20+ years. Those giving this game a higher score really need their heads looking at. As a gamer this is mid at best. Compared to other games in this genre it falls way short of even decent.

    Based on the content currently displayed in the game, the attitude of the Starfield production team is problematic. I don't understand, when the loading screen that occurs when opening doors can clearly be replaced with an animation, why won't Todd do it? Sometimes the loading blackout even happens after the door opening animation.

    Expect more from this game, the hype that was presented was very high which does not fulfill what was promised, graphics that are not next-gen, bad physics that are the same as fallout 4. It has some things that are fun but it is lost when Bugs are presented that break the immersion of the game.

    Ha I suoi difetti sia chiaro, ma io in un gioco guardo la sua capacità di intrattenermi.

    Beautiful/solid gunplay/zero gravity gunfights/ship combat is tense and tactical/smuggling/becoming an undercover pirate/runs smooth/0 bugs on my 40ish hours playing/some of the best side quests in a game/the loading screens between planet to space are fast and let’s be honest while it is exhilarating flying into space in NMS,after about 10 times it becomes very boring and repetitive soBeautiful/solid gunplay/zero gravity gunfights/ship combat is tense and tactical/smuggling/becoming an undercover pirate/runs smooth/0 bugs on my 40ish hours playing/some of the best side quests in a game/the loading screens between planet to space are fast and let’s be honest while it is exhilarating flying into space in NMS,after about 10 times it becomes very boring and repetitive so doesn’t bother me in the slightest.only gripe I have is no maps for the hub areas but they will probably get added in a future update.well done Bethesda and Xbox… Expand

    If you are a bgs fan or a lover of sci fi you will love this. Outside of a couple hiccups the game runs pretty smooth. Very interesting world to explore with fun ship and outpost customization.

    Sin duda el mejor juego de Bethesda. Vale la pena darle una oportunidad si eres fan de juegos de rol, sobre todo de los del estudio, la historia es increíble y y el gunplay es muy bueno. Llevo horas jugándolo y no me canso, no me he topado con ningún bug que afecte la jugabilidad. 10/10

    Whether you are navigating the games obtuse menus, waiting for the many loading screens, speaking to a boring npc, or completing an uninteresting fetch quest, one thing is constant: you won't find yourself engaged with the game's universe. Everything feels hastily thrown together. The universe is oppressively uninteresting. Each NPC you meet you can safely expect them to have nothing interesting to say.

    There are some minor positive points. The combat is decently fun were it not for bullet sponge enemies, bad ai and grinding to get ammo. The ship combat is somewhat fun although it serves no real purpose except providing a barrier to entry of certain places.

    Overall, one of the most shocking disappointments in recent gaming. Save yourself the time and go replay a classic Bethesda rpg instead    … Expand

    It's not a horrible game. But it's not good. I was so excited to play this game since I love space exploration, but it's Just so boring. Even though it's not a horrific game it deserves a zero for all the bugs and all the lies from Bethesda. It's not revolutionary. Mass Effect trilogy did everything much much better .

    One of the best games I have played in a long while. Does a tremendous job in immersing you in the world. A little slow in the beginning due to BGS introducing you to the lore and world, but as you spend more time the game just keep getting better.

    Best gameplay in a RPG ever. A game for the modern ages and beyond. Bethesda has really excel themselves. Grateful for Xbox and Bethesda commitment in making gaming industry more competitive and appealing.

The 'Space' part of this 'Space' game is also notably missing if you take a moment to stop and smell the roses, a perceptive mind will notice how everything in Space is entirely faked - you're stuck inside anStarfield is Fallout 4 in Space, missing several of Fallout's features; including VATs and a gore/limbs system that is painfully absent in Starfield's bland peashooter combat. The 'Space' part of this 'Space' game is also notably missing if you take a moment to stop and smell the roses, a perceptive mind will notice how everything in Space is entirely faked - you're stuck inside an invisible fishbowl - those planets you see in the background? You can't go there. Not really. They're 2D Images from Google. It is my conclusion (when one notes the hundred immediately available Fast Travel options surrounding all 'Space' content) that Bethesda has encouraged By Design the ability to click a button and skip as Much As Possible in 'Space' because they're painfully aware it's their weakest content by a lightyear and do NOT want you to stop and notice just how restricted and cheap it feels. Here in lays Starfield's issue. It's dated. Very dated. This is a game that feels at home in 2007.

    The combat is Fallout, only worse. The exploration is- well it isn't even Fallout! It just doesn't exist! The "Planets" you "Land" on are 4x4 restricted grids full of copy&pasted locations, full of the exact same loot, with the exact same enemies in the exact same positions as the 1000 other 4x4 grids. Anyone that can enjoy this repetitive experience hasn't played many good RPGs in their time... or any good shooters... or anything at all...

    And that leads us to the final note, the RPG system; or the complete lack of RPG. It's the typical Bethesda Illusion that has existed in their games for a generation now, only in 2007 it was impressive. In 2023 it's not. It's dated beyond its years and feels like Bethesda hasn't learnt anything, hasn't grown, hasn't improved; they've copy&pasted the same experience from a decade ago... only worse by removal of that classic Bethesda exploration and via giving us all the Fast Travel points for free without needing to discover a damn thing. Is this the quality we expect from our RPGs? Not to mention the bugs and crashes, somehow excusable because its Bethesda?

    I for one will not meekly accept mediocrity, or worse, simply because it's Bethesda. Any other company would be met by an angry mob if they released Starfield. it's dated, its uninspired, its mediocre at best and I'd rate it a 5 if not for the fact Bethesda continue - consciously - to exploit a fanbase who forgive them every manipulation.

    I swear, it's like so many poor fools are struck in a toxic relationship with Bethesda. In so many years, when they grow up; they'll realise they were used, lied to, exploited for blind loyalty all because they lacked enough self-worth to ask questions and expect more quality from less than quality products.

    Bethesda needs to learn along overdue lesson. They can't release garbage and call it gold, because their fans Should be worth more than that; instead of Todd exploiting blind loyalty like a corrupt god revelling in the worship of his brainwashed followers.     Honestly it‘s worse than fallout 4 (or even 76). You just navigate menus, sit in loadscreens and watch boring character dialog. Sometimes there’s a little bit of bad gunplay and that’s it.

Absolutely nothing makes this game stand out and nothing makes it worth its price tag, The only way people should purchase this game is through Game Pass.

    This is the best game I've ever played. I had a lot of fun unlike God of war where I happened to fall asleep from boredom.
    congratulations to Bethesda and Xbox who have created a game that will be played for years.

The developers even said that was part of the design philosophy and I 100% agree with it. Landing on an airless, desolote moon, scrounging for some resources give vibrancy and life to the rest of the game.

    Some may find this boring. I won't critize what you find boring but I really appreaciate the game for what it is. Empty and desolate spaces sourounded by gems of custom conent and suprisingly good procedurally generated sites. I also like the more natural and real look compared to my 300 hours in NMS.

    Pretty sure people that have said it is boring didn't play NMS or Elite Dangerous. I loved elite, but man the planets were completely empty with nothing to do. Literally couldn't land on the planets for almost 4 years. You could just fly around in space. No walking, no talking, no npc's, missions were click a menu then fly for 30 minutes to land and click another menu. I still loved the game, but you literally don't do anything but fly around and look at pretty planets or shoot space pirates. No story, nothing. They have added some bases now so you can collect rocks, then transport those to another menu screen. On PC they finally added the ability to walk around, but for 6 years elite dangerous was like the most boring planet you can possibly imagine in Starfield and that was the entire game unless you liked flying.

    In point I did enjoy the flying. Jumping into a system and seeing huge gas giants, black holes, nuetron stars, etc. It was a space game about flying through an absolutely completely empty galaxy. So now you have starfield. You don't fly from planet to planet but the interactions in planetary orbit are exactaly the same as elite dangerous.

    I played over 300 hours in NMS sky, bought a PS5 just to play it. Horrible, boring, samey planets, no variance once you landed on a planet, every character looked the same as every other character from their race. No spoking dialogue, just horrible.

    Now you have Starfield, all the action in planetary orbit as elite without having to fly 3 hours to a boring desolate rock of a planet, land, and find absolutely nothing. Starfield chose a different route. It's human stories with a space theme, it's not xwing or elite. It's not a space flying sim. It's sci-fi in space.

    Again, if you find that boring that's fine, but to objectively say bathesda made a bad game because of their design decisions is not correct. I think wordle is the dumbest game every and 100 million people play it. I'm not going around bashing it as a crap game. It's not for me, I don't like it. Starfield is the same way. For those that enjoy it it's absolutely fantastic. For those who don't they think it's boring and empty. To each their own.    … Expand

    I have run the main centre of the campaign twice, and I'm going to play out all the side factions on my third run.

    This is important. The centre to the campaign is not the campaign story in its entirety, and I have read reviews saying it's small, etc., but it's not; it's massive, the people writing that just haven't grasped the bigger picture.

    The side quests, as we call them, are not needed to do the main campaign trail but they are integral as it shapes your ending.

    So my thought on this is the intention is to see the side quests as the actual main campaign and not an aside. All of the factions you meet can have an impact on the ending.

    The centre of the campaign is designed to be quicker as actually completing the main campaign should be done at least once before you go off to explore, and despite what people say, there is so much to explore.

    However, This is not No Mans Sky, nor is it meant to be, and it's not Elite Dangerous either.

    It's a beautiful combination of gunplay, spaceflights, base building and storytelling.

    After your new game plus, I think that's when you go and forge all your relationships, visit all the systems and make the big decisions that will affect the end of your run.

    Bad things: I have had a few, and I mean only a few dropped frames. Its crashed on me a few times, but other than that, its solid on my Series X.

    I do think that for some gamers it's too big a game to get into and enjoy, but if you like to really get involed in peoples lives and stories and shoot, space fight, base and ship build, I think you will have a blast.    … Expand

    El juego del año, tenía miedo a que fuese mal por todos los Bugs que veía por internet y fotos de imágenes que se veía el juego mal pero una vez jugado el juego gracias a Game pass he visto que o todo era mentira o era otra versión , a mí me ha ido a la perfección , va muy fluido y se ve muy bien , me está encantando el juego , creo que cuando lo termine acabará siendo de mis preferidos

    Amazing game, if you give it a chance you can really enjoy it. Story is amazing. There is so much exploration. Cities are all unique and you get quests literally every second, there's so much to do. Space combat is soooo good. Best game this year so far.

    The game isn't perfect, like the NPCs' facial expressions or the various LOADING screens, but    This game shows the beautiful work of BETHESDA, which has made its greatest effort to bring the public a massive RPG, with numerous activities, secondary missions, many of them well developed, which hold the attention and sharpen the player's curiosity to follow more and seek other missions.

    The game isn't perfect, like the NPCs' facial expressions or the various LOADING screens, but that's too little to affect everything else, to overshadow the brilliance that this game has, its setting, the atmosphere of the planets is fantastic, even more combined with the soundtrack worthy of science fiction films that makes the player have a good immersion into the world of STARFIELD.

    Starfield presents a story, the main one, very intriguing and that develops more and more, taking the player deeper into the universe, in search of his answers raised at the beginning of the game: what's out there?

    The game, at its launch, was very demanding in terms of hardware, but I believe that future patches should make it smoother on computers. It is important to point out that even so, the game brings an incredible experience for fans of planets, stars, universes, it makes the player appreciate the whole universe a lot.

    Starfield is a game that you have to play calmly and paying attention to the details, which are many, so you can get the most out of the game, ignoring small flaws. Enjoy, go to the stars!    … Expand

NPCs are terribly stupid, quests are not interesting and there are a lot of loading screens, outdated graphics, the game is not optimized. Terribly boring game and it's not an RPG.. It's not worth 100 euros. For me, Bethesda is completely dead...

    It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

    While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
