    Omg! This game is sooo trash, not optimize at all. The character models are horrible and so many bugs, this game should have been delayed till next year or more!!! I’m 12 hours in and…it’s now looking good at all! Im not impress at all….4/10!

    No game is perfect. And also Starfield has some weak parts (e.g. graphics and NPCs). However, how can you give anything less than a 10/10 to a game where I have already spent 20 hours in just a few days and will go on to spend hundreds more. How can we give perfect scores to indy games with very poor graphics which we play for a few hours and not give a perfect score to this huge game?No game is perfect. And also Starfield has some weak parts (e.g. graphics and NPCs). However, how can you give anything less than a 10/10 to a game where I have already spent 20 hours in just a few days and will go on to spend hundreds more.     And it is a Bethesda game with all its flaws but most importantly its advantages. You can get lost for hours, doing side quests. You can spend hours levelling up and crafting things. Now you can also build a base and a spaceship. What more can we ask. 2023 seems to be a good year for gaming so lets enjoy it.    … Expand

    It’s a fantastic game, is there a few glitches here and there….. yes but this is true with almost any game I’ve played day 1. Have about 17 hours in so far and probably only 10% done with the main quest line and loving it.

    I am very surprised by the graphic quality of the game, the texture of the ground, or the smallest details of the different environments as well as the lighting of the game which is simply sublime. For 30 fps, it's really well optimized although I would have liked 60 fps.     Jogo sensacional, nunca curti RPG, mas a temática espacial me prendeu!
    Os 30fps me decepcionou, mas mesmo assim o jogo é uma delícia de ser jogado!
    Falta algumas coisas para ser perfeito, mas sem dúvidas Starfield é aquele jogo que vc vai lembrar por meses ou anos!     This is just a cut and paste of all their old assets and mechanics from all their old games from over the past 15 years, except not even done well with bugs, load screens and boring as anything gameplay.

    Typical AAA game disappointment. Don’t bother and go back to playing CS and Boulders Gate.

    One of the greatest RPGs of all time, an entire universe at the player's disposal, a game has never been so ambitious, I'm happy to be part of this story.
    Bethesda outdid itself, hardly a game will be as gigantic as this one! Enjoy Starfield one of the greatest games of all time.

    Such a massive disappointment. I didn’t even go into with huge expectations. I thought it would be Fallout in space, but the game couldn’t even live up to that hope. It’s just bland; TES and Fallout have their own feel and Starfield just feels like… nothing. You spend your time navigating menus to get to procedurally generated worlds that feel empty and devoid of any creativity just toSuch a massive disappointment. I didn’t even go into with huge expectations. I thought it would be Fallout in space, but the game couldn’t even live up to that hope.     The game runs at 30fps on my series x. Which is a huge problem. Not releasing with a 60fps option is unacceptable in 2023. I’m use to 60 fps now and 30 hurts my eyes, especially when turning. All the loading is unbearable, as well. Story was just meh and for a space game pretty uninspired. I wanted to like it because of the hype but all that did was make my disappointment seem worse.

    Usually, Bethesda games have been something that never made the play list. I didn't like the graphical aesthetic or the lack of story focus. However, as an older gamer these things have become secondary, and the uniqueness of Bethesda's style is something I get now.     Side note: I am a very political minded person and have no affinity with "pronouns." However, that in no way keeps me from enjoying the 99.999% of this game that has nothing to do with "pronouns."    … Expand

    This is a game you don't have to compare with other games in the genre. As a stand-alone game, it's perfectly fine. Many elements here I like, like with ships and feeling that the world has moved on and into space.
    But what I miss here is an atmosphere that lives and reacts. Cyberpunk gave more of going from a to b with reactions and little things that happen.     Where is the game that was going to revolutionize the world of entertainment? I only see a game with countless loading screens, empty, with NPCs that move robotically, glitches at every step.
    Combat is another joke, weapons that don't have recoil, spending money on them in shops is silly when you can steal them by pushing them with an item. A complete disaster of a game.

Optimization on PC is terrible if you don't have the most powerful components. Exploration in this game is tragic and boring. If someone wants to play a game about cool space exploration, play No Man's Sky. It will be

There are worlds that have so many locations to explore, there's spaceships to explore, cities and outposts, etc. That alone should give this GOTY status hands down.     The game looks just awful regardless of settings and has incredibly dated mechanics with load screens everywhere.

    It's not like this game has a story or characters that compensate. Calling the writing mediocre would be more than a little charitable. You're surely gonna be rolling your eyes more than just a few times at some of the characters and dialogue.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’ve put about 60 hours into this game so far and and I’m just amazed at how deep this game is. This is by far the most epic game I think I’ve ever played. From the endless amount of missions and story lines to the sometimes jaw dropping visuals and music, this game pulls you in and never lets you go. Choices you make have meaningful consequences in the story and add a level of mindful attachment to those choices that you truly become embedded in the world. It’s a shame that there will be so many good games coming out soon because they will literally get no attention from me for a very long time. I’m in Starfield’s world now and I don’t think I’ll be wanting to leave it any time soon. As of right now, this may be the most engrossing game I’ve ever played and although Bethesda games may not be for everyone, if you’re not at minimum trying this game you’re doing yourself a huge disservice.… Expand

Its a top notch game with some really good gameplay mechanics and more of bethesdas great story and environmental telling. Can get lost for hours at a time just wondering around space and planets. La inteligencia artificial brilla por su ausencia, de las peores que he visto jamás. Hay partes en las que en Xbox el juego se cae hasta los 7 fps o incluso menos. Por no hablar de las mecánicas ancladas en los años 2000-2007, ya es hora de que cambien de motor gráfico.Como fan de los juegos de Bethesda me siento engañado.     Una vez que lo empiezas a jugar no te puedes detener la historia y las misiones secundarias te llevan a un universo de aventuras, incluso por el momento dejé de hablar con npc porque te llevan a algo nuevo en resumen una obra maestra Gracias Bethesda!!

    Stuck in last gen. Poor graphics poor performance poor character design. Certainly not the game we were let to believe. Definitely a step back by one of the best developers in the past 20+ years. Those giving this game a higher score really need their heads looking at. As a gamer this is mid at best. Compared to other games in this genre it falls way short of even decent.

    This is the best game I've ever played and I've been in gaming for over 3 decades, finishing pretty much every important game there is. All those negatives reviews are, as everyone knows, playstation fans review bombing the game. I hope Metacritic addresses these issues since those are people who do not own and never played the game.

    No man's Sky is a much better game. Starfield went to great lengths to copy no man's sky but they fell short by far. Starfield doesn't even have VR like no man's sky does

    I did not know this was a flight simulator. I could not even make it through the intro. I do not ever want to control a space ship with a bunch of confusing panels and controls. I do not want to take 30 minutes changing settings and getting invert correct. This was the last straw. I took Xbox Series S out to garage and de-assembled it before soaking it in caulking. I am done with Microsoft.     If you've played Fallout 4 then you can't help but think that Starfield is a heavily modded expansion to that game. The game engine hasn't changed as much as I expected, in places it looks great but overall it looks incredibly dated. Player, companion and NPC animations, many art assets, gun modding, and the overall combat are lifted straight out of Fallout 4 from 2015. The genericIf you've played Fallout 4 then you can't help but think that Starfield is a heavily modded expansion to that game. The game engine hasn't changed as much as I expected, in places it looks great but overall it looks incredibly dated. Player, companion and NPC animations, many art assets, gun modding, and the overall combat are lifted straight out of Fallout 4 from 2015. The generic civilian NPCs are quite literally some of the worst I have seen, and how that got a pass is beyond me. If you have never played Fallout 4 or a Bethesda Game Studios game then I would recommend Starfield for sure, and likely give it a 7 or 8. Unfortunately for me Starfield didn't live up to the hype which is a shame.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Starfield is a delightful experience traveling through the galaxy in a classic Bethesda formula with a new twist .

    My first hour spent with this game after the starting missions I just spent time exploring planet's and finding location's known as structure's on your map they work like a classic Bethesda dungeon you work your way through defeat the boss and collect the box of loot at the end all whilst ,exploring ,collecting and hacking to find extra stuff.

    Graphically the game is impressive though it doesn't have modern techniques like ray tracing it's very impressive specially when you see the depth of the game and what it has to offer.

    On of the biggest features in the game I was most excited for was the ship building though I spent just a few hours stuck learning the controls and how it all works once I had learned it wow what you can build is up to you you can have any shape within reason and paint it with any colour.

    Story wise I haven't finished the story I'm enjoying it so far though some of the conversations get a little stale for me as I tend to skip conversations in most games as I'm impatient and love to stick straight into the gameplay.but the missions you get with the story so far are really fun and something I need to focus on after spending 2 days doing everything else. The side content is brilliant so far I have collected debts for gal bank (an in game banking corporation as you will learn are shady like most companies) I have joined the crimson raiders and made 2 enemies for life so far who swear they will bring an end to m!

    piracy needs work though freestar collective seem to keep bounties in you even if you wipe out every witness you come across ! End game for the first time adds new game plus where instead of most game where you keep your stuff and perks you only keep your perks you lose your ship , inventory,credits and bases but unlock new armours and ships up to 10 new game plus playthrough .

    With based if started building my base I would recommending having a good amount of max cargo space in your ship for this as you will be carrying alot of aluminum for most of the stuff you build . You can build your own bounty clearance boards and bounty boards, mannequins and weapon racks ,robots and gardens ,base defense and storage and more...

    The game runs at 30fps on my series x but don't let it put you off it's doesn't feel like 30 it's very smooth and gun play reacts very well with the limitations.

    The bad.

    Atm I don't have to many gripes but I will list them here including a bug that hurts higher level characters

    Digipicking (lockpicking) is horrible I don't mind lock picking and all Bethesda games but this it's just stressful and requires a bit of memory and patterns and with a bug that brakes high level mastery locks where you line it up enter it and old parts you have already unlocked lock them selfs again it's extremely broken on mastery locks and need a patch asap ! (I'm looking at you Todd! )

    Though planets are supposed to be boring as to has stated they could still do with a bit more variation that rocks and dirt with different colour variation more stuff to find on these planets and new dungeons would go amis .

    That's about it it wasnt a big break down of everything it has to offer like stealing and perks but it was a quick review there is to much in this game write a gigantic review that I would want to do i will leave you with a summary of my thoughts below .

    With starfield gigantic open world Bethesda RPG formula fits perfectly into the space setting fans of star trek or space nerd stuff in general will have an enjoyable exploration through the galaxy even with its bad points I can't help but give this a 10/10 score.

    This is a fantastic game. I don’t know what some of these people are talking about being a failure… I have not been able to put down my controller playing this game since day one. I’ve only scratched the surface of this game and can’t wait to see more Wonderful things from it.

    A true masterpiece! It's everything I wanted from a Bethesda game. It keeps getting more and more rewarding the further I get. I look forward to playing and replaying this game for years.

    It definitely has a potential. They need to fix bugs, add the possibility to manually fly between the planets, not just fast travel. They need to improve graphics (I know they still use the old engine, but why would consumer care?). They need to improve the AI

    Currently it's a terrible medium game that is not worth 60$. But I believe they can improve it and it will be 8/10

Also a lot of loading screens just to load into small areas. Not a great experience. But thankfully I was able to get a refund, otherwise would have given a 0.     Just want to play because of the story that I thought would have a more Christian theme but the faction that believes in a single God are the evil ones and sksk marauders while the atheist illuminists are the good guys, they don't even hide anymore would have been revealed if the game was good but it's bad.

On rare occasions, npcs walk in front of characters you are in a conversation with. But beyond that, the game is super polished the and amount of content in Starfield is insane. The voice acting (quality and variety), environments, lighting, rpg mechanics, breath and depth of mechanics, and sound design are the real standouts here. And the game is FUN.    … Expand

    Starfield's the game Xbox needed. And it delievered. It's a well crafted singleplayer Bethesda-RPG with alot to explore and discover and while the main story is pretty weak the side quest shine with great story lines.

    It is true that you'll find a good number of barren wastelands with little to do other than extracting some resources and take off to more interesting places, but again it really depends on how you want to play. There's so much to do, so many systems and abilities to explore, missions to complete, spaceships to loot, and species to catalogue, that I honestly don't think there's anybody who thinks that exploring every square meter of this universe is the better way to enjoy Starfield.

    While it has weak spots and doesn’t push many boundaries, Starfield is still an excellent RPG experience. Bethesda has once again mastered the things it built its reputation on – world building, quest design, and deep customization. However, it’s found new things to excel at too, with exciting combat and a novel implementation of New Game Plus.
