    Planet Zoo: Console Edition is Frontier Developments at their finest, creating the best zoo simulation game of all-time, and one of the best simulation games in general.

    You’ll end up learning a huge amount about both animals and management without even realising it as you sink deeper into one of the most engaging simulation games I’ve ever played.

    Even with some difficulty when it comes to controls, Planet Zoo: Console Edition is still a must for any tycoon fans… And there are enough layered mechanics to keep even the most hardcore players tinkering for hours on end.

    My advice before I leave you to mull over whether you’ve got enough moxie for this job, is to pause time as often as you need to. Just make sure you unpause it to fulfil some of the actions you’ve requested, e.g. returning an animal to its habitat. From there, just pray to the conservation gods that you have the fortitude to see this through.

    Planet Zoo was a big hit on PC, and there is no doubt that this edition will be the same on consoles too. The game's content is great, and the gameplay is satisfying to tackle as you manage the needs of your animals, staff and visitors. The available encyclopaedia is a big plus, allowing you to learn as you play. This console version is wonderfully easy to get to grips with, thanks to well-designed menus, even if there are a few camera issues and some slight technical setbacks in moving around certain objects.
