There is a strong argument to be made that the AA game market offers far more unique experiences than its AAA siblings. Luna Abyss falls squarely into that bracket.

Luna Abyss is one of those games that manages to exceed expectations thanks to a very solid execution of all its ideas. Blending elements of Doom and Returnal while maintaining its own distinct identity, it crafts a coherent, varied, and tremendously entertaining adventure. The setting of the Abyss is extraordinary. The gameplay progression is carefully designed. The blend of combat, exploration, and platforming flows naturally. A remarkable sci-fi adventure that demonstrates how a solid artistic vision can be far more important than a massive budget.

Luna Abyss review: an ambitious indie bullet hell shooter with Doom Eternal energy and Yoko Taro-like design. Bold first-person bullet hell with great atmosphere and combat ideas, but let down by clunky platforming, cluttered late-game fights, and rough edges.
