Nov 27, 2023Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai is one that you will enjoy a lot. Numb feeling combat aside, the way that our heroes grow and evolve as we go is classic Dragon Quest, whilst the finding of the Bond Memories soon becomes an obsession. The presentation of the story using scenes from the anime will draw you into the narrative more than you may expect and so this is most definitely a game worthy of the Dragon Quest moniker.

While fans will appreciate its faithful adaptation and engaging narrative, it doesn't manage to stand out as an exceptional action RPG due to these limitations.

Oct 15, 2023After this analysis of Infinity Strash Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai we found that in general it is a fairly simple game. Don't be fooled, it fulfills its mission of telling Dai's story and presenting it as an ARPG that doesn't seek to get too complicated. If you are looking for a full-fledged Dragon Quest, Infinity Strash is not for you, however, if what you are looking for is to relive Dai's adventures in a simpler way, you should give it a try.

Oct 10, 2023Unfortunately, for the good that Infinity Strash does for the serialised manga, it shorts itself through poor retellings of the anime episodes, simple but ultimately boring combat, and a Temple system that really doesn’t mesh well with the main campaign. But if you’re a shounen or Dragon Quest diehard, Dai’s adventures are a fun spectacle—but I think I’d rather watch the anime.

Oct 10, 2023Like a mischievous cannibox, Infinity Strash: DRAGON QUEST The Adventure of Dai knows how to lure us in only to bite us in the rear afterwards. The promise of reliving the peregrinations of Dai and his friends is partially fulfilled, but weighed down by an intrusive narrative that turns the player into a mere spectator, something connoisseurs can overlook, but that might upset the rest with its restrictive format. The combat gameplay lacks ambition, offering something less complete and enjoyable to play than other titles in the genre, even those bearing the Dragon Quest stamp. What is left is the roguelike spirit of collecting memories, which here is relatively scarce in its offering, questionably balanced and, above all, contradictory with the spirit of the licence: that of the gradual rise in power of the characters through epic confrontations. All in all, Infinity Strash is not completely off the mark, but it still falls well short of its objective of perpetuating the legend, at least by a good dragon's length.
