    Immortality is unlike any other game. It's wildly ambitious, gorgeously shot, well acted, and incredibly unique. You might think you understand the straightforward gameplay, which requires you to match clips together to uncover the story of actress Marissa Marcel, but you have no idea what you're getting into and what you'll be at the end.

    Immortality is easily Sam Barlow's best game to date and, when you consider the delights he's served up previously, well, you get an idea of just how good this one really is. It's a dazzling display from any angle you to choose to admire it; top-notch acting, brilliant writing, a core mechanic that's mind-bendingly complex but carried off with style and grace, intuitive controls that draw you into your role...just remember to avoid spoilers, dive into the mystery of Marissa Marcel completely unsullied, and you're in for one of the most exquisite gaming experiences of this year, or any other, by quite some distance.

It's a truly effective mystery that has a great understanding of the kind of story it wants to tell and the kind of topics where it wants to peel back the skin. It certainly won't be for everyone, but it's a demanding and brilliant experience for those who want something a little more cerebral.

    Ultimately, one's enjoyment of Immortality is going to depend entirely on two things: if they like art house films and if they have the patience to sift through over 200 clips of mostly-boring footage to get the story's full picture. The story itself is interesting enough that players will find themselves compelled to keep returning to the game to look for more clues, even if they're otherwise bored, but gameplay-wise, it doesn't have much to offer beyond its one genius trick. Immortality is something that everyone should at least try through Xbox Game Pass, but they should go in understanding that the game is going to demand a lot from them and not always offer much in return.

    The game starts like the majority of the FMVs games, but less linear (you choose the scenes). Navigating by clicking is just perfect, but the game stills looking the same thing that another movie games are...
    So something happens with the control, or a strange sound reveals that the game and the history aren't what you imagined.
    A mindblowing masterpiece. Don't pay attention to the haters: you need to have a brain to play this game, and they don't have.    … Expand

Feels like they spent a lot of money on the camera work cause the audio isnt that great though. Another gripe is you might beat the game unexpectedly with your detective work but you can leave right off where you left off if you feel theres more story to unravel. overall great fmv game to get into if your tired of the usual video game genres.… Expand

    Este juego es muy especial y creo que nadie ha jugado un juego así incluso los anteriores juegos de esta misma desarrolladora Her Story yEste juego es muy especial y creo que nadie ha jugado un juego así incluso los anteriores juegos de esta misma desarrolladora Her Story y Telling Lies son buenos pero creo que en términos de historia, personajes, y actuación en general este título es simplemente espectacular. Tengo que reconocer que tiene problemas que he leído que ha frustrado a bastantes jugadores y lo entiendo porque yo también los sufrí pero aún así no me quita la idea de que este juego es una genialidad. Entonces en cuanto a los problemas básicamente son los controles y el final abrupto que se llega en un determinado punto y si bien es cierto es uno de esos caso de finales abiertos a la interpretación y pueden ser geniales, este último punto combinado con los controles de avanzar y retroceder hacen que la experiencia en general se vea muy afectada. Como dije antes es una lástima porque aquí hay una joya de historia y personajes increíbles con una muy buena interpretación. Yo por mi parte les diría que sean un poco pacientes y lo terminen; y busquen un poco más de escenas para desvelar la historia completa o claro hasta que tenga sentido y lo demás lo pueden ver en YouTube. Ojo que la historia no es mala para nada todo lo contrario sino que sus fallas jugables hacen pensar al jugador que es mala o sin sentido. Este juego es una experiencia única y espero que reciba la atención que merece.… Expand
