Solid puzzle game, with a lovely ink style. Howl is a short, bite sized bit of fun.

Howl doesn’t really bring anything to the table that we haven’t seen hundreds of times before. It is fun, but not exactly a challenging strategy game; you can brute force your way through a level by simple trial and error. Howl is, however, gorgeous - and it may be worth the admission price for that alone.

Howl came very close to being a real golden nugget. Thankfully, its low price will allow strategy aficionados to give it a try despite its repetitive nature. Notwithstanding its flaws, the game is nonetheless full of good ideas. All the more reason to hope that the studio's next creation will be a true masterpiece.
