    Guilty Gear Strive on Xbox Series X is superb. The game itself is even better now than it was at launch, and is my favorite fighting game on Xbox by a big margin. If you skipped Strive back in 2021, there has never been a better time to play one of the best of the best.

    There is a lot of content and a whole host of action on offer in Guilty Gear -Strive-. While the character roster is completely mental, I haven’t been able to find a huge amount wrong with the game. The complexity is off putting at first, with so many options available both on the offense and defense, but stick with it and while it never becomes easy, especially online, it does start to make sense.

A is second closest range, kicking. Y is medium range, B is long range. Then experiment with different circle inputs with the face buttons to see ranges of attacks, animation times. Faster animation best for close range, to keep opponent in block as if they try and hit you with longer animation buttons then yours they will get hit first. longer range animations are usually greater ranged so they're slower to start up. Use face buttons and the analog stick inputs accordingly regarding hitting the opponent. Training mode is the best way to go through every move and every input learn the game and its characters. This is gow fighting games should be explained to beginners. Think of every move has strengths and weakness to them and you have to understand by asking what is the move, what does it convey, why do you use it.… Expand

The 3D backgrounds have several action plans and places to continue the fights if you break certain walls, which makes the game very dynamic and the combat very spectacular (only the first times). Matchmacking constantly evaluates you so that your fun continues and you don't get frustrated by the fights (it is highly recommended that you go through all the tutorials before going to matchmaking). It has a glossary, character sheets and character relationship graphs telling everything that happened in previous versions (both those that did and did not reach Xbox). It came directly to Xbox Game Pass so enter it without fear, but with some caution because it's not just hitting buttons like crazy

    The bad: The game asks you to play it as it should be, otherwise it will expose your shortcomings (at the end of each match) and not only that, the AI is programmed to surpass you if you don't care or if you think it's a paperwork fight (from the first combats is already countering you, locking, executing crazy combos, bluffing changing the course of the fights as if nothing). The learning curve is very steep so if you go straight to pounding buttons you're going to get frustrated because the CPU is going to sweep the floor with you. The characters are unbalanced, especially the heavier ones that also have ranged and anti-aircraft attacks that cover almost the entire screen. The game just came out on Xbox and it already has two Character Season Passes (8 characters and those that are missing from the 2nd Season Pass) plus 4 new locations, which do not come in the base version of a game that originally came out on other consoles in 2021. The backgrounds are very beautiful and everything, but there are objects and parts of the decoration that are poorly recreated and contrast quite a bit with the NPCs that are in the background or things that are well detailed

    The Meh!: What if "now they bring us Japanese games and not before"... that's a lie or that I've been playing the last 17 years, including a certain GG XX Act on original Xbox or GG XX Act Core Plus from Xbox Live Arcade, among others. The fact of having to wait two years to see this game on Xbox questions that bad practice of other companies to block games from their competitors. The advanced functions of the game require being online or constantly checking servers, without a network you only have arcade mode and decorate scenes with figures that you have obtained as a diorama.    … Expand

    Blazblue tag is better but this game is rubbish I never really was a guilty gear fan even back in the old days
