Jan 29, 2024The combination of gunplay, fast movement, upgrades, weapons, and some frankly kick ass dynamic music that reacts to our gameplay has won me over these past few nights. The classic ‘easy to play, hard to master’ mantra is very true of Go Mecha Ball, but importantly it’s never less than a blast to play.

Jan 23, 2024A great arcade experience that mixes a well-designed roguelike structure with a twin-stick top shooter and some pinball mobility. It's fun, fantastically balanced and it keeps giving progress and always rewards the player for taking risks.

Jan 23, 2024Go Mecha Ball is a fantastic title to get on Game Pass. It looks great and plays incredibly well. The audio package and setup may leave me wanting but I can see this being one I dive back into repeatedly over the coming months to experience its sublime gameplay.

Jan 25, 2024Whale Peak Games have done a great job in the creation of Go Mecha Ball. A unique game that mixes genres that probably shouldn’t ever be mixed, it turns out to be highly successful. If you want a pinball fix with a twin-stick shooting twist, this is one that should keep you going for a while.

Sep 10, 2024Go Mecha Ball is a wonderful rogue-like title. Its fast-paced nature is tough to manage, but once you get on top of things, and you understand the fundamentals, you'll progress at a healthy pace. If you scream at brutally tough games, you will have a very hoarse throat after playing this.

Aug 6, 2024Go Mecha Ball surprised me. Half pinball, half twin-stick shooter, it shouldn’t work on paper, but it really does. Once you can embrace the chaos and find the best way to play for yourself, it can be exciting. Feeling like it’s truly an original experience, Go Mecha Ball is a fun trip as you dash from one enemy to the next do it all again in the next run.

Feb 11, 2024Perhaps the biggest criticism of this title is that the content overall feels a little low. Yes, they’ve focused on many of the right areas and it’s fun to play, but it can feel a little thin, perhaps DLC or a sequel could rectify this, but going into this game, don’t expect a ton of variation here.
