The game wouldn't bad if it weren't for that awful off-center camera. Character needs to be in the center of the screen.

The game as a whole is not bad, it plays quite cheerfully, but there is quite a bit of content, the game will drag on for 1 month no more and is quite expensive, the only thing you can play in gamepass.

One Caveat, I played this game via Gamespass on Xbox. So my opinion on it's "Value" is biased.

It's probably NOT worth 60$, but is 100% worth playing via gamepass. The "Only one gamemode" complaint is not warranted, Every 10 or so matches you unlock new variations to the one mode, which means I've played almost 75 matches, and i'm STILL seeing brand new variations to the "one mode"

You can't call it ONE mode when sometimes it stops being 5v5 PVPVE and suddenly is 10v 1 PVE vs a massive boss.

It's a REALLY fun game, It's enjoyable, lots of replay value.

this game feels like the mode Overwatch 2 Promised players, and then told them they "couldn't afford"

    Cons:
    * The Capcom ID... Really wish that wasn't a thing. Annoying.
    * Takes about 30 games to unlock all the characters and fun mechanics.
    * Probably not "ultra competitive" this is a "play a dumb game with friends" game.

    Pros:
    * Probably the ONLY game i've ever seen succesfully blend story and Matchmaking.
    * Lots of dumb fun
    * Insane amounts of replayability and new variations.(seriously, there may be "one" game mode, but that mode has probably 11 maps, and 50+ objectives across those maps.
    * No Lag with hordes of enemies. (Like I've encountered over 20 types of enemies so far, they keep adding new ones as you level up)

This game is moderately fun if you have Game Pass but lord there is a SEVERE lack of content for a $60 game. There's essentially one game mode (Dino Survival) that has rotating (seemingly random) maps and objectives. Over time you access more maps and scenarios but it's still just one repetitive game mode. Most skins as well as a few additional Exosuits (characters) are locked behind the Survival Pass which costs around $10 USD. The game starts out pretty cool, I got hooked into the story but then was incredibly disappointed to realize any story after the first hour is just drip fed to you by little cutscenes after every few matches.

The game plays and looks decent. The mechanics aren't too complex and the combat is decently satisfying. There are 7 Exosuits you can pick from (unless you pay for the extra 3) split between 3 classes, Assault, Tank, & Support. After playing the 7 base game suits, Barrage is by far the most unbalanced. Easily claiming that MVP spot by a mile each game. Otherwise, they all seem pretty balanced in both PvP and PvE.

It is absolutely absurd that this is being sold for $60. I'd understand a price point like that if there were more Exosuits, expansive game modes and more customization options. If you have Game Pass (or just a large disposable income), it'll probably provide a few hours of entertainment but otherwise, don't waste your time or money if you don't like battle passes and stale, repetitive gameplay. It's a F2P game but they are charging $60 for it.

    Shame on you CAPCOM.

Gunplay is not interesting. You're constantly holding down the trigger and it auto-reloads; there's no reason to let go of the trigger and sometimes the enemy is difficult to see so you're just shooting at nothing hoping something walks into your line of fire (which it usually does).

Critics are going way too easy on this game- User Scores are correct. It's not fun for even a few hours. You get one good hour tops. Creators of the game should be embarrassed!

This exo-suit sci-fi Destiny-esque garbage is oversaturated in online multiplayer games. Why don't these developers try a market that isn't overdone, like a GTA Online game? Oh that's right, they are too cheap and lazy for that. I don't recommend this game at all.

I would argue that Exoprimal is not a bad experience if you factor in that you can play it on Game Pass Day 1. As a full-priced game it's definitely not worth the time or money. Exoprimal is a 5v5 team-based shooter that focuses on efficiency rather than accuracy. You have to work together with your team to kill as many dinosaurs as possible, capture control points, escort payloads and more. Exoprimal is a good-looking game that uses the RE Engine, which is known for powering games like Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5. The game has colorful and detailed environments, ranging from lush jungles to futuristic cities. The game also has some impressive moments of scale, where you can see thousands of dinosaurs on screen at once. The progression system is not very original or innovative, but it adds some incentive to keep playing and customize your exosuits. The loot boxes are not very intrusive or predatory, as you can earn them by playing or buy them with currency that you can also earn by playing. The items are mostly cosmetic and do not affect gameplay. The story mode is interesting but somewhat convoluted. It involves time travel, parallel universes, rogue AI and secret organizations. It tries to give some context and personality to the exosuits and their operators, as well as some twists and revelations along the way. The story mode is not very deep or engaging, but it adds some flavor and variety to the game. Exoprimal is a solid multiplayer game that offers a unique and fun experience of fighting dinosaurs with futuristic exosuits. The game has fast-paced gameplay, diverse exosuits, good graphics and sound, decent progression system and optional story mode. The game is not very original or groundbreaking in any aspect, but it does what it does well. The pvp feels like a simpler overwatch since it just happen at the last 5-10% of each match mostly the ultimate abilities and the dino dominators can turn the tie in a battle and it can be the best part of the match or the worst depending of which receiving end you are.

Addicting gameplay, level based progression, and decent suit abilities. No lag with hordes of animation and being attacked by 50 plus mobs. Multiple match variants unlocked by story progression. By reading reviews you can tell the fan base that wanted an instant gratification shooter. Cons:

Feels unfinished, only 10 suits, half of which are just slightly different than the first model, no SBMM, repeatative gameplay to a point. Grinding at its finest. No role queue. Just thrown into random teams that no one wants to fill empty slots. The game takes place in the not so distant future, humanity is being attacked by time traveling dinosaurs. The main tech company runs Exo suits to combat these. The game should have featured two distinct storylines, one PvP, one PvE. PvP you discover what you discover in game now, PvE you fight to protect civilization. The game could have been so much, but falls short.

    What is it really?

First of all, the game is camp as hell, but despite looking like 'Earth Defense Force with dinosaurs' it's actually a lot more like 'Vermintide, but sci-fi instead of fantasy.'

    Great Attention to Design!

Additionally, it's smarter and more sharply designed than it has any right to be from initial impressions. For comparison, it's the best designed game I've played/finished since TUNIC! As 1 (of many) little examples; this game's version of 'that guy with the shield' is one of the most dynamic, involved, and fun versions of that I've ever played in any multiplayer game. He has a tangibility, weightiness, and momentum to his play that I haven't experienced in any other game with that sort of archetype/mechanics. Grinding a triceratops to a halt against your shield with jets firing out the back of your shield is undeniably great fulfillment of the aesthetic there and feels excellently impactful for the tanking role!

The biggest detractors from the game are:

    1) That it's not more upfront with you about what it is and where the gameplay will be going
    2) That they keep the training wheels on a little long and throw you back into the most common game modes after showing you some of the other cool stuff it has in its back pocket
    3) That its monetization design ruined 1st impressions and goodwill by being too on-its-face greedy instead of just being a rad game at the right price point and then building from there

    What's it worth?

So... if you like any of what I've said here, consider what you'd pay for that and then see if you can get it free on Game Pass or on sale enough to hit the right price point. Personally, I think this game should've aimed for the $40 price point without changing anything else, but a version with all 10 initial suits unlocked instead of 3/10 being behind a grind wall would have easily been worth $50-60 if you knew what to expect from the game - but that's why they should've aimed to crush the $40 price point instead and work from there! As is, I got it on game pass where it's obviously well worth at least giving it a try!

I hope more people will circle back to give this one a try, because it deserves it, and it has a lot of potential (both gameplay and story, surprisingly...) for additional seasons!

Overall, Exoprimal is quite a solid game even with its one mode. The amount of variety in the exosuits kept me coming back to the game often. The game has a lot of DLC, but all the exosuits can be unlocked by playing the game and leveling up each exosuit to a certain level. The game also has a good bit of free unlockables that you can get from collectible cards (basically a type of loot crate) in game. If Capcom could include a true campaign mode where you could play it solo or with a team of other players, I could see this franchise being just as good as Lost Planet 1 and 2 (mainly Lost Planet 2) in the long run. Definitely give this game a try if you like Capcom online shooters – I have a feeling you’ll like it if you’re willing to give around 5 hours for it to truly show you what it has to offer.

Exoprimal is an interesting third-person shooter that sadly misses the mark. I loved the potential on offer, but unfortunately, the repetitive action becomes stale very quickly. However, if you subscribe to Game Pass I suggest you give it a go.

Exoprimal is a fun multiplayer in which the way you progress and its content keep it from going any further.
