    My second Souls game and I didn't even know how much it would drag me into this hole souls franchise.

    This is one of the best games I've ever played. It's challenging, addictive, and fun. Exploring is rewarded and there's lots of hidden details including some of the side quests, which are one of the best parts of the game. The world feels so rich and full of life compared to most other open world games, it's refreshing.     I have always struggled and gave very quickly on soulslike games but Elden Ring changed everything for me.If you are still one of those please try again and stick to it until the end it will be an amazing experience and you will become a fan.

    Elden Ring is an expansive, jaw-droppingly beautiful game with what is probably the best open world in terms of it's scale, every location looks like its out of a piece of concept art for a fantasy world. You never know what to expect in the world, what abominations await you around ever corner.

    Even better are the Shard Bearer boss battles each in their own region, theme and each with meticulously designed move sets to be just difficult enough to be near impossible at certain levels, but still doable. Exploration is key in this world as it can award you a plethora of unique weapons, magics and summons that can help aid you in these colossal fights with the demi-human giants.

    Gameplay honestly could do with a little tweaking, the lock on system is a little dodgy at times. It isn't bad enough to warrant any kind of negative score for though just a bit of criticism. The starting area is also a little difficult if you aren't familiar with the way the levelling system works. Some items can be scarce at the beginning, but with patience and time you will build up your arsenal slowly and progressively quicker as the game goes on.

    If you are willing to pour dozens of hours into the game you get a fantastic experience, but you have to understand what it is you're getting into, you will die - A LOT - but that gives you the experience you need to progress further into the game. Don't give up, keep trying or come back to that area at a later time with better gear and a new strategy.

    10/10 one of the best games you can play if you love giant boss battles and beautiful open worlds.    … Expand

Apart from that the gameplay loop is probably the best I‘ve seen in recent years. This game lives up to all those previous games legacy, with a fantastic world to explore, marvelous combat, weapon as well as magic variety, and wicked bosses. Plus, all of the new mechanics that this game offers to the souls like genre are marvelously done, with the horse feeling pretty good, jumping adding a whole nother layer to combat as well as exploration, and the open world, which is just phenomenal.

    Now, this game isn’t perfect. To start off with there is numerous repeated boss fight’s, and the dungeons are really, in most instances, underwhelming. Overall, this is a game that I would always recommend to fans of the souls series, and I would even recommend anyone who haven’t play the Souls game before, to give this one a shot.    … Expand

Levei aproximadamente 100 horas para zerar e platinar, mas acredito que é possível zerar o game em umas 18 horas caso foque apenas nos objetivosO jogo possui uma ótima história e jogabilidade.     My first Souls-like / Fromsoftware game and one of the best video game experience I've ever had. This game is fantastic. I've played 150 hours of it (up to NG+2) and never felt bored. It's challenging but rewarding. Beautiful and well paced. Can't wait for the DLC...

    My only regret is that I was playing it while I was waiting for Starfield launch and now I'm in a void... I'm considering    My first Souls-like / Fromsoftware game and one of the best video game experience I've ever had. This game is fantastic.     This was my first FromSoft game and I never expected to finish it because of that. But I just finished with my 3rd playthrough and got 100% of the achievements. The game is that good. It is really fun to just explore around conquering bosses as you come across them. There are hidden secrets everywhere, it doesn't feel like any of the space is wasted like in so many open world games. The first problem is that there is no quest interface whatsoever. There are certainly quests, just no way to keep track of them without doing it manually (eg. pen and paper) or the more realistic solution: just google everything. The 2nd big issue is that co-op is just backwards. With most games with jump-in co-op you would ask for help, and people answer. In this game, people have to volunteer to help and then wait around for someone to ask for it. If you want to just co-op the entire game with friends, well you can't, it doesn't work that way. Co-op ends as soon as a player dies or a boss does and you have to set it up all over again. Definitely could have been done better.… Expand

    I’m on the Series X and I haven’t had any of the stuttering problem these people are having and I’ve had the game since day 1. The game is epic. People that complain about the graphics have to understand that this game was in development long before the new systems were announced. So bear that in mind. With that said: the game is beautiful. If you liked Skyrim, Witcher 3 or any game like that you’ll be in love with this one.… Expand

    The Game is "MUST PLAY" on every system but not on Series X… WHY? (even if the score is lower on PC version)

    But technically it's not perfect, need more patch to have 60fps on Series X

    This is a master piece, a great game like other studios can't do. No micro-transactions, no dlc, no loot box, no NFT, just a GREAT video Game!

    The open world in Elden Ring is done better than most open world games today. That's what's considered "Revolutionary". They kept the souls-like feel despite going open-world which is more than what most game devs are able to do with their games when going in that direction. The way they reuse assets in this game is done properly. The world isn't littered with garbage and utterly useless items making the game feel repetitive (*cough cough Ubisoft games). Some of the bosses you fight early in the game become tough regular enemies later in the game making you as the player feel stronger and accomplished with the knowledge of how to defeat such enemies. The catacombs/dungeons are structured in a way that feel the same but each have their own set of enemies, traps, secrets, rewards and items. There's a reason to go into a specific dungeon because you may want that talisman, weapon, or ash. The recycling of assets in Elden Ring is done in a way that other developers should look at as an example of how to make a game feel fresh for 100 hours. The only other game that has done this well that I've played is Batman Arkham Knight

    I wouldn't call the combat boring in any way even if you've been playing Souls games from the beginning. I mean, maybe you're just bored of it? I'm not a souls veteran by any means but I have played Souls 1, Sekiro and now this game. There is a clear difference in scale and choices in Elden Ring. The amount of different builds you can design lets the player choose from literally 50+ options of how to play the game. You can look up builds on youtube as there are many literally just making builds for this game. I think this was FromSoft's way of adding more variety but it may have also added an "easy mode" as there are some builds/weapons that are considered by the community OP and an easy way of running through Elden Ring. (ie. Moonveil, Magic, etc)

    Overall, I highly recommend this game to any gamer. It is still difficult compared to your average RPG but will be worth the time and effort if you stick through it.    … Expand

The only reason I give it a 9 and birth a 10 is the performance issues; it’s not very well optimised on series x. The ray tracing mode doesn’t look any different to the performance mode… apart from the frame drop, frame rate is a bitThis is a pretty awesome game.     I also think that the dialogue and story elements are too sparse to make a cohesive feeling story. However, it’s a fantastic and well designed open world. The enemies are original and imaginative. I can see why people think they’re cut and paste, but that’s the point of the souls borne games. You learn the patterns and apply your style to each enemy as they present themselves. It has an original feel, although it’s in the dark souls format. No micro transactions or crowbarred in multiplayer. It’s a genuine, honest to god single player experience. It’s got no cynical angles to it. The grind is real but balanced.

You'll die quite often but there are several optional bosses and gaining experience while exploring the map is fun. Horse and Site of Graces help a lot. The graphics are not that great and performance can be medicore. If you have SeriesX and tvIf you wanna begin your journey with souls-like games then this title is for you. It is way easier than Bloodborn, Demon Souls or Sekiro. You'll die quite often but there are several optional bosses and gaining experience while exploring the map is fun. Horse and Site of Graces help a lot. The graphics are not that great and performance can be medicore. If you have SeriesX and tv supporting VRR it is not an issue.… Expand

    FRAME RATE DROPS AND GRAPHICS AREN'T AS IMPORTANT AS THE GAMEPLAY. This game is amazing. The story, the music, the art style, the gameplay itself is all absolutely amazing. If you are debating on getting this game and love other Fromsoftware games: GET THIS GAME!

    It's incredibly fun, has good stealth, lots to do, great co-op and A LOT of fun. Seriously, it's the best game I've played in years.

    Dark Souls: BOTW edition.
    Fans of the Soulsbourne series of games will lap this up. I’m one of them. Takes all the best elements of the games before it and makes it into this huge beautiful sprawling world to get lost in.
    Some of the best boss fights I’ve ever had in any game ever. Runs superb on the Series S. I’m 40 hours in and I’ve barely scraped the surface of the game.

    Wow. Just wow. This is my second FromSoft souls type game and it’s amazing. I’m still half way through it but I had to leave a rating. I’ve put 50hrs into this game and I still have so much more to find and do. The graphics are amazing. There isn’t 50 map markers telling me to do some lame side quest. Every other open world game has repetitive side quests. I don’t have to spend half myWow. Just wow. This is my second FromSoft souls type game and it’s amazing.     I love the lore of Dark souls and Bloodborne and this is no exception, with each NPC dealing in his own way with the desperation of living the end of the world.

    It's a journey, and the sensation of achievement at the end has no price.

    i'm not a big fan of souls games. But Elden Ring is amazing. Got around 30h and still a lots of ahead. The main problem is that the game got a lots of frames drop. Explore in game is awesome, feeling of fight, builds that you can make are brilliant. 9/10

However, I have to deduct one point, the game does not perform very well and can rarely reach 60 FPS and hangs in FPS mode rather at 40-50 FPS. I can't speak for PS5 and PC, but have heard from friends that they have similar performance issues on both PC and Playstation.

    Bottom line, Elden Ring is as big as FromSoftware promised and it's the perfect start to the new year. Unfortunately, the lack of optimization drags the game down a bit for me, which is why I only give it 9 out of 10 points.     I’m new to these types of games. I normally play FPS titles. I’m amazed at the world they have created. I can already tell this game will be my most replayed game ever.     The open world: 10/10 (massive, rich with landmarks and filled with tons of challenging enemies and bosses)

    Gameplay: 9.5/10 (The very best of past from software games with a ton of additions to improve it, but it's lacking an in game journal to remove the need of so many online guides)

    Love it very challenging just like any action rpg game and hypixel skyblock. The open world is just diverse with different bosses with different types of attack to learn and overcome. The only flaw is the performance where it keeps dropping in demanding situation ever on series x|s and ps5. Overall best game for this type of audience/gamers

    For me this game is amazing, the atmosphere for this game kept me in awe throughout most of the game, and althought fromsoft kept the games difficulty hard, they added multiple classes so people can pick a class they are most comfortable with, which in my opinion, makes the player have a lot more choice in this than other fromsoft games.

    Elden ring is not a perfect game but it is a good one, and if you are a fan of previous soulsborne games you will most likely enjoy this game. For new players this game might be harder to enjoy early on due to its lack of guidance and what can be a frustrating combat system and currency/xp system, if you are unexperienced with souls likes. Sometimes the world can look a little outdated graphically but there are moments that truly do shine. Like when you are standing on top of a tower looking over to see the castle you have just finished fighting a challenging boss in, or the dense forest you escaped moments before. The bosses in elden ring vary from being great to more on the level of filler. Not that they are poorly designed just that you may fight a boss and then a have very similar enemy appear somewhere else that is just considered a slightly stronger foe in your path or multiple similar bosses scattered around the world, which can feel a little repetitive. Overall though the experience, designs of dungeons, enemies, sometimes breathtaking vistas, interesting characters and a very well detailed world and lore. Triumphs most of the issues that can be found with Elden ring. This is a game any fan of fromsoftware should pickup, and any interested new comers should maybe watch a few YouTube videos on, to understand what kind of experience they are going to get them selves into before purchasing.… Expand

    I've had no issues with this game on Xbox unlike PC. It's another Souls game, if you're into them then you'll probably be into this one too. I've put in multiple hours only killing one boss so far. The scenery is breath taking, the best part for me was exploring the landscape.

If something is too hard I just go somewhere else and rank up and come back. Really enjoy the creativity and thoughtfulness of this game for new players. I only wish it had the classic quest menu. I have seen the reactions of people having a hard time with the first big boss (margit) which wasn't the case for me after spending the first 20 hours in the first 2 zones i easily defeated margit, and i feel like this is how the game should be tackled, exploring is a big key to succes in this game and if this isn't something you like then this might not be the souls game for you.. the game is massive and to be honest will be sad when my journey ends at the end of the game.

    I had a couple of issue's with the horse controls and are wonky at times, the fall height also has its issue's..
    FPS issue's on XBSX are horrible some times when its rains the FPS dips belows 30 sometimes, also had some boss fights which weren't ideal at all making dodging a mess some times getting me killed.
    This might be an issue because i outleveled the zones and took my sweet time exploring but the game feels alot easier then other titles, bosses seem alot easier. I had a couple of bosses in my 40 hours play through that took me around an hour of trying but that was about it. DS3 took me about 2-3 hours for bosses to finish (sulyvahn)    … Expand

Eso sí, el juego presenta actualmente algunos problemas con el online y algún que otro leve problema de rendimiento mientras se está en campo abierto en el Necrolimbo. Aun así, la historia, mecánicas y exploración hacen que este juego sea claramente al GOTY de este año con muy pocas dudas.

You're some kind of chosen one that keeps coming back to life and you have to kill some gods to become the next ruler. Good enough for me let's go kick some ass, but there's still a huge world to explore, with plenty of side dungeons/bosses if you want to take a break from the main path.

    Which leads to combat, which has always been the best thing in all of the FromSoftware games. The amount of builds you can create is insane, and with new features and mechanics you can pretty much make any build viable. Want do smash things with giant hammers or swords? Go for it. Want to slice and dice with knives and daggers? Take a stab at it. Wanna stand far away and blast enemies with fireballs and magic missiles? Cast away your doubts and blast away your foes. Hell there's even a video of someone playing as Darth Maul, double-blading every enemy in their path.

    The visuals are decent, nothing mind blowing but in this day and age it's really hard to improve upon graphics. Even still, the art direction and style carry the game tenfold, so while the graphics aren't amazing you will still be in awe at how great the world looks. I'm constantly panning the camera 360 degrees just to take in all the visuals and I am constantly in awe of it all.

    Now to answer the biggest question on everybody's mind: how difficult is it? You really want to know? It's brutal. Maddening. It will make you rage with anger and weep with sorrow. You will cry for mommy and dial 911 for emergency help simultaneously. Your anus will hurt from the relentless 24/7 pounding it gives you. You will fail more than you succeed, but when you do succeed, and rest assured you will, you will feel like the god you are aiming to by the end of the game. But wait, there's more. Tired of getting your ass handed to you for the millionth time? FRET NOT YOUNG TARNISHED! You can summon other players to assist you with bosses meaning you don't have to worry about being stuck for too long.

    Overall the game is definitely a blast. I'm playing on the Xbox One X and I have not run into too many technical issues. Yes some FPS drops here and there but no crashing and no fight hindering slow downs during bosses either. The only reason it's a not a 10/10 is because the story is basically rehashed. Well, that and for a game to deserve a 10 it really does need to be superb while also bringing something new to the table. Elden Ring doesn't exactly bring anything new to the table but it definitely improves on the old formula. It's kinda like if your favorite drink is Mountain Dew and your favorite fruit is cherry and they just released Code Red. Except it can kill you twice before you even take your first sip.     Me encantó, el mejor de la serie souls en mi opinión, le metido horas y horas y aún sigo encontrando cosas, a pesar de conservar cosas de juegos pasados se siente muy diferente y nuevo, me encanta. El único problema que he tenido es el tema de la optimización pero nada grave, se sienten los bajones de frames pero no llega ser injugable.

Add in new gameplay mechanics, a gripping story co-written by George R.R. Martin, a gorgeous open world with caves and dungeons and an incredible selection of weapons and magic and you have what may just be an early GOTY. I am yet to complete this game, and an amendment with a 10/10 rating isn’t out of question. It’s truly a shame that this game is getting review-bombed for having the audacity to have no more than acceptable performance. Cyberpunk this definitely is not.… Expand

    Like Zelda Botw, Elden Ring goes against this grain in that it respects the players intelligence to create their own adventure out of the sandbox world that is given. Combat while bring very similar to Dark Souls 3, is the most refined combat that we’ve seen from FromSoftware. Graphics can be seen as a weak point of this game, in that even in next gen consoles it doesn’t seem to give that wow factor as much as other games that are coming out in 2022 such as Horizon Forbidden West. Though I will say the world design of this game is so strong that it outshines the (can be) poor textures. As any Other Soulslike FromSoftware game that they’ve published, Elden Ring has Excellent Replay Value, the combat has a mastery to it as soon as you begin playing the game.It being a well executed RPG it gives the player so much variations in how they can play the game that by the time you’re finished your 1st play through, you want to begin your second journey straight away just so you experience the game as a different build instead.

    My first souls game and it is a true test of patience and strategy. Beautiful open world with plenty to do and see. Everytime I think I'm gonna throw my controller against the wall from dying to many times I end up getting past whatever it is I'm fighting lol which makes the victory that much more sweeter. Ride on fellow tarnished.

    Llevo aproximadamente unas 20-30 horas de juego y encuentro varias de las nuevas mecánicas sumamente entretenidas.
    Dentro de las innovaciónes, la que más me llamó la atención es la de aplicar cenizas/artes de guerra a el arma que quieras y hacer que mejoren de la forma que desees, esto abre la posibilidad de builds híbridas que anteriormente eran imposibles.
    Por ejemplo:
    Mi personaje es mago de combate pero en algunas ocasiones me encuentro con enemigos resistentes a la magia o que simplemente reciben muy poco daño, por lo tanto, requiero de un poco de daño divino, eléctrico, de fuego o un poco de buffs como curación o juramento sagrado.
    Otra mecánica que disfruto mucho es la de contraataque, esto permite a jugadores oxidados o nuevos asestar golpes de alto daño sin requerir mucha habilidad y sin exponerse tanto al enemigo.
    El sistema de mundo abierto permite una exploración sumamente amplia, así como sorpresas inesperadas como los subterráneos.
    Pero... Como todo lo bueno, también hay algunas cosas malas.
    Entre los detalles que me parecieron algo..... Desepcionantes, está la cantidad de material reciclado, entre esto se encuentran las animaciones.
    Diablillos/esclavos de lothrick.
    Avatares del arbol/Demonio del refugio.
    Caballeros superiores/caballeros de lothrick.
    "gordos de machete" /legionarios de harald y juso el borracho.
    Gargolas/Gárgolas de morne.
    Aliento diagonal de los dragones/aliento de fuego de midir.
    Basiliscos/basiliscos. Cangrejo/cangrejo. Un jefe en la aldea de los alvinos/demonio de Aries..... Por favor, incluso pusieron los perros :v. También encontré algunas estructuras (chozas y cabañas) que literalmente fueron copiadas de la hoguera de asentamiento de los no muertos. Por último, las mazmorras básicas como minas y criptas tienden a ser un poco repetitivas variando únicamente en la disposición de enemigos, nivel y algunas secciones de las mismas, siento que pudieron haber hecho un diseño único para todas y cada una de ellas. Como conclusión: el juego es extremadamente bueno, presenta varios desafíos justos y sobre todo, es divertido explorar y progresar a lo largo del mundo. Los detalles como las animaciones recicladas y lo ligeramente monótono de las mazmorras puede ser dejado de lado si uno se enfoca en divertirse e investigar el mundo    … Expand

    Simply incredible. This is the first Soulslike game I’ve played longer than a few hours. It’s great. Combat is fun, and the art direction is top notch.

If you like all the aspects and areas of your open worlds thoroughly explained so that there is no mystery or discovery, then this game is not for you. The open world is great, enemies that can one hit you and the game lets you find your own way without flooding your screen with quests and markers.     This game is incredible! From the massive world full of challenges and secrets, to the epic boss battles and rewarding combat, this game blows you away from start to finish. The graphic are good, but not top notch, and there is the occasional bug that comes with most If not all open world titles, but If you like a challenge and enjoy beautiful art design you will love this game!

    Having played Demon Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro, this isn't my first rodeo with FromSoftware and I'm really digging the NOT HOLDING YOUR HAND APPROACH open world aspect to a souls like game. The UI takes some getting used to but is NOT the garbage that has spewed out of the mouths of prominent developers of other game franchises. The main bosses are super cool and cinematic, some bosses do get repetitive by the end of the game like the Tree Spirit and Burial Watchdogs. The main reason I didn’t give it a 10 was because I felt as though the late game was kind of a slog. Mountaintop of the Giants and beyond, the enemies get a huge spike in health and damage, while if you’ve properly explored your damage may be reaching its max with +10/+25 weapon and the soft cap for your attack attribute. I’ve seen many people complain about the graphics but I see it as a none issue, considering Miyazaki has said graphics have never been a priority. The priority has always been the storytelling and gameplay which FS has delivered with flying colors.… Expand

    if we ignore multiplayer this game is a complete masterpiece, but like all fromsoftware games the busted magic ruins it a lot, however just the amount of replay-ability the game offers is amazing people like iron pineapple have pushed the the game and seen what you can do with it and its amazing. i'm started my third playthough of the game and i want to attempt the summon only run

    Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

    Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

    Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
