    FEATURES:

    SURVIVAL ACTION-HORROR
    DreadOut 2 will be utilizing a mixed improved mechanic of our previous DreadOut along with a new combat-oriented mechanic.

    * Banish them all! DreadOut style smartphone ghost hunting is back.
    * Delve deeper in DreadOut supernatural realm with a new combat-oriented mechanic.
    * Fight back and survive further using any available melee weapons throughout Linda's journey.
    * Battle hideous bosses that roamed in the supernatural realm.

    NON LINEAR SURVIVAL HORROR
    Exploration is the heart of DreadOut 2. We want to take another step to enrich our way of non-linear storytelling through different key elements.

    * Explore sleepy Lil' town, night and day to solve terrifying urban legends that haunt within.
    * Interact with various unique NPCs both human and ghosts, with various locations teeming with their antics.
    * Considerable amount of side quests, hidden stages, and mini-bosses written specifically based on our Asian/Indonesian urban legends.

    DreadOut 2 does a good job of creating an interesting adventure that has an exemplary use of a camera as the weapon of choice.

    Dreadout 2 is a horror adventure title with some open-world elements. Its limited budget impacts its grand ideas and this was frustrating. With such potential, it could have been great. However, its many flaws will leave you wanting.

    The game performs very poorly on Xbox Series, playing well under 30fps, making it virtually unplayable on console and to this day there is no update to fix this.

    Despite being promising at first, DreadOut 2 has too many flaws for us to recommend in good conscience to embark on this adventure. Thanks to their level design, some locations manage to create a sense of uneasiness while others are simply bland and insipid. Generally speaking, the bestiary is very well designed and each new encounter sparks something in the player, but when it comes to confrontations, the excitement quickly dies down due to a cumbersome gameplay in these sequences. For our greatest frustration, the bad calibration, the few FedEx quests and the glitches greatly increase the life span of the title and hinder its overall fluidity. It’s in these second-rate conditions that the game’s seven acts end in 7 hours rather than 5. Let us hope the saga comes back in better shape.
