    The latest patch is disgusting and brings no joy to the game.

No quality of life upgrades, especially the #1 complaint which is Storage. Need a company overhaul the incompetence is staggering!     This game is an unfinished product when released. Features that was in D3 is nowhere to be seen in D4. Further, the couple of patches that came out were all just bug fixes & # adj that should've been fixed during beta. They also ruined gameplay with untimely nerfs showing how incompetent the D4 team is.     Was really hyped to play the new Diablo to wash the taste of Diablo Immortal out of my mouth. The game seemed fun at the start but at ever turn they need anything that was remotely fun and 70% of the end game is repeating the exact same content for a slot pull on an actually decent item.

    I paid A$140 for the deluxe edition, and oh boy was that a stupid idea. The next stupid idea was to play a sorcerer, my go to class. But a class that was just obviously absolutely hated by the devs. I dropped that character after slogging to level 70 and rerolled a necro. All was going ok until the last patch where my glass cannon level 70 necro was suddenly a glass wimp, attacking withI paid A$140 for the deluxe edition, and oh boy was that a stupid idea. The latest patch is an absolute disgrace, slowing down and nerfing the entire game just to drag things out, I am assuming to try and cover for the fact that there really isn't anything exciting to do once you have finished the main campaign. Running the same 6 NM dungeons over and over is NOT fun. The graphics are amazing, the sound is some of the best I have ever experienced, and the main storyline was reasonable. But past level 50 the itemisation is rubbish, the UI is terrible, and there are so many "design" elements that have obviously put in place simply to slow down progression. I am sad to admit that I have now given up and won't even be playing Season 1. Such a shame, it had such great promise (on release and for the first week I would have given an 8, but after yesterday's patch (1.1) I stand by my 0)

    Hey Bliz, here's an idea for you. If you want to encourage "engagement", make your game fun, not a pain in the ass slog that feels a lot more like work than fun. Thoughtless implementation of many systems, such as open world, elemental/phys dmg types, resistance, white/blue items(why do they exists lol?), hardcore/softcore etc.. Missing tons of QoL features(search function, lack of stashesTerrible end game loop. No chase items. No crafting. No agency on the contents and rewards. Bad itemization.     Blizzard has sold unfinished games at a high price and is cheating gamers and they are not even trying to solve the problem.
    This game is full of devices to increase game time. Fun is no longer their top priority. This is the result of their best efforts. They seem to have no future.

    D4 is the worst version of Diablo in the history of the franchise! Extremely Slow and Boring leveling. Gone are the Bosses of old, and gone is the fun massive killing sprees! You no longer have options to gain massive loot to build your character. You no longer get to feel powerful as levels scale with you now. The game overall is a bore! No incentive to level up or even play beyondD4 is the worst version of Diablo in the history of the franchise! Extremely Slow and Boring leveling. Leveling up is the most boring aspect to any Diablo game! We just want to get to end game, so we can work on loot and building character power. D4 Fails as a ARPG!!    … Expand

    This game requires substantial time investment to play towards reaching end game content. The end content revolves around finding the best gear to reach Tier 100 nightmare dungeon and complete the Uber Lilith fight. Patch 1.1 has basically turned this already boring loop into an unbearable slog even with the upcoming S1 malignant heart buffs. Exp NERF was the final nail in the coffin for me.

    There is no goal, UI worst, nothing to enjoy at all the content you were advertising, no reflection or improvement of user feedback, bugs and unstable servers, etc. Worst game to ever be fewer. I can't imagine how long Jalting Kim PC will be even though I'm an Xbox user.

    1.1 patch is a giant dumpster fire. Anything past level 80 is completely pointless. There have been no meaningful QOL changes that have been desperately needed already, not even but a little over a month after launch. 90% of what the community has asked for has been ignored/communication has been radio silent. I do not recommend touching this game for at least another year at this rate

    Bought an Xbox Series X Diablo IV edition, had it for one week and they released a patch that made the game the most unfun I ever played. Played the patch for about 1 hour and haven’t touched the game since, would never have bought this piece of **** if I would have known.

A month on, the game remained balanced, despite justifiable adjustments having been made to certain classes, I enjoyed the first month of play. Following that initial month of joy, and 2 days prior to the launch of their first "season",When it launched a month ago, Diablo IV was a new hope for ARPGs. Blizzards response to this, so far, seems to have been to either ignore feedback or repeat their justifications around slowing player progress and making the game harder to play.     They've destroyed almost everyones will and motivation (including mine) to play Diablo IV. Patch 1.1 should've existed out of QoL and/or harder content such as torment 5, 6, or above.
    But instead they nerfed the classes into oblivion where as the sorcerer is not even playable anymore.
    Blizzard as a company is out of touch, and has lost complete sense of feel or connection with the playerbase.

    Diablo 4 patch 1.1 effectively destroyed any fun left in this pile of garbage. Also having to create a new character for season 1 was a bad decision so close to release. Should have started in season 2 if at all. Blizzard is just a former shell of itself. Actual working adults are not going to spend 200+ hours on each season for this trash.

    I don’t participate in things that reach a certain value proposition threshold - time v reward, enjoyment v frustration, effort v outcome. I uninstalled the game ten minutes after trying each of my classes post the patch. I waited to test them, because it’s important to react to reality rather than impression - but my suppositions were correct. I absolutely will not validate this kind of cynical behaviour, either in life or in the virtual world. When you take meritocracy and choice away and supplant it with ‘you must accept what we give you - and by the way, you won't enjoy it’, I walk away. So I will not add to their metrics by even logging into the launcher.

    If this is remedied, I may check back - but I have little faith that Blizzard will address these out of touch nerfs, let alone the myriad of QOL, necessary fixes and missing aspects of the game that the fan base has been calling for since release.    … Expand

    Patch 1.1 was a huge step backwards. Nerfing Sorcerers, the weakest class. Nerfing dungeon exits. Nerfing literally every class and reducing experience gain. I don't need to go into detail, other people have already done that. You made the game worse.

    The game started very well, but after the updates it started to lag and the scenario load is terrible, it often freezes and sometimes crashes, throwing you to the initial screen. Developers should keep their focus on improving the gameplay of the game rather than mitigating the players' enjoyment.

    Never played a Diablo title before so this was my first go at one, picked a druid because anything that can be a werewolf catches my attention.

    My first issue was at the character selection, like I said I want a druid because of the werewolf mechanic but immediately I was faced with a fat slob of a character model with no ability to change body size. Quickly after that while playing I noticed my characters gear was awful looking in comparison to friends with different classes. The rule of cool is paramount in games I don't know how many times we have to go through this with devs we want to play something that looks and feels cool. Get a body size slider in and get the druids gear looking far better than the trash that's been designed so far.

    Secondly after multiple patches all they've done is nerf our characters into the dirt, I play solo now because my friends gave up and I can't play because my characters been nerfed and I'm playing the way I want with the abilities I want I'm not changing my class around every single patch because Blizzard decides "no you're having fun with that build that's not allowed" As it stands I've given up and won't go back to playing and certainly won't invest money into something I'm not having fun with.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a game playtester myself, this is a AAA++ title, released for full retail price, that is in reality a beta. I have played enough beta versions, pre-release titles by indie devs to see it plain as day. Do not spend money on this game. Do not support this company, do not support Microshaft/Blizzard/Activision/King. There are shameful business practices in place to milk the consumer of every single dollar & cent possible, with zero shame or remorse. The cash shop was in place on pre-release. IE, myself, someone who paid for the Ultimate Edition, aka I could physically not pay more for the retail price of the game, was not given 100% of the game's content, which was behind a paywall. This is the OnlyFans of video games. More than a bait and switch, there is no fish, no meat. The game itself is dull, boring and uninspiring.

    The story is this: Lilith is back, you chase her around, a **** ton of every potentially interesting NPC dies and leaves, and you go and put Mephisto's soul in a new soul stone you craft. Because Lilith was after him to try to gain power so she could stop the war on Sanctuary. You then go and murder Lilith cuz reasons. My own character is not my own character; they are an NPC added in last minute, in what I would refer to as Lilith the MMO, or Diablo IV beta, take your pick. The story has no good plot to it, I skipped nearly all of it as my own character has nearly zero interactions. You will sit and watch cutscenes that don't involve your own character at all, engage in "dialogue" that your own character barely has any lines for, and then run to kill more meaningless bosses, to go and sit and watch other NPC's chat.

    This is by far, the worst video game I have ever played. Items are bad, loot is bad, voice acting is bad, music is bad. The art is amazing...but I can't tell where my character needs to walk, as I can't make out a door from a wall.

    The game itself is not fun. My own motto for a slogan for it would be, "I can't keep from putting it down!" You will have 99% boredom playing alone. The forced multiplayer is a giant detractor for me. You will have kids running up to you, spamming the voice emotes, ruining your immersion. Speaking of, your own hero will never feel as such. Just another generic adventurer, dashing around town to try to scrap maybe an ounce more power out of the **** gear you have found. As the game also has leveled enemies. So you will always face the exact same level as your own, you never feel strong, or powerful. There is no going back to farm a previous zone or region, to possibly get new items for a new character or new build you might want to try. You can get say, x1 item for something new, hope to try a build around that & miserably fail.

    This game is bad, bad beyond words, bad beyond comprehension. As a writer I can't think of any more blistering, scathing, deep seated rage & anger I've felt while in a game before, at having played this pile of trash. I've been called slurs in WoW that had less negative impact on me than this game experience has had on me, overall. From playing both betas, which were just server stress tests, with carrots of cosmetic items to get people to get playing the game initially. To the first x2 hours in game, dying, and realizing I had zero interest in even starting over again, no desire to play the Zero FunTM beginning of the game again. Where your hero is duped into helping some villagers, poisoned and is ready to be sacrificed to Lilith, when you have blood petals poured down your throat, which you puke up shortly after, but seems to really do nothing at all story wise after. Your own "character" is only important to the story, as a fact because they had an interaction w/ Blizzard's version of their own, "fan favorite" NPC in the franchise. There is barely a mention of Diablo, at all, in this entire Diablo game.

    I can not strongly enough express my boredom in playing this game. it is horrible, if there was ever a game that was an Anti-Diablo 2, as fun and a masterpiece as that was, this game is it. It is anti-fun mechanics on top of boring gameplay on top of bland music, dull, lifeless world and no content. It's a cash grab, not a business model. It is not, "just the way things are." I paid for an early release of the video game, The Forest. As it was from a tiny developer at the time, one who would need revenue to continue a project. This is the exact opposite of Blizzard, now a part of one of literally the largest companies on the planet. The cash shop is beyond ludicrous for its prices, most of which are 1/3 the base cost of the full retail game, for a single set. No cosmetic should cost more than barely a few dollars, for a free game at that. There should never, ever be a cash shop for a game that has a full retail cost.

    It's not the old Diablo series anymore,

    Disappointed with the game. With the Season we are forced to start new character and repeat 90% of the content to enjoy 10% of content that going to be deleted after season end. Content added to Season is not worth Money and time. Eternal round character got 00% content with season 1 release.     So far D4 has been the least engaging out of all of the diablo series. Clunky gameplay, unrewarding progression, no attainable chase items.

    Just shows how little corporations care about their fans. From terrible updates to screwing you over with pricey battle passes(and currently useless), shows the same level of greed that has been getting worse for many franchises. Blizzard has failed their fan base with their greed and allowed a poor product to be released. Until they rectify this, it gets a poor score from me.

    We played perSeason 1 on launch, Patch1.1.0 really fKd this game.

    Just look at any reviews for the patch or reviews here...

    Blizzard knows what they want to make this game great, but have no idea how to do so. Their philosophy and actual implementation are worlds a parts.

    Season 1 is terrible, you don't feel that you are significantly stronger than in the eternal realm. Will wait a few seasons and then see if they can turn it around.

    We will not be developing an endgame, we will just nerf the classes and reduce the experience gained. And we will also sell the battle pass without confirmation.
    Oh yes, we will also change the balance in each patch.
    It's not an AAA game, it's a beta test for 70 bucks.
    All I can say is "Blizzard, play this **** yourself" :)

    Excuse me for writhing this. Its technical on a high standard, but i don´t now why this game is too boring. i way paying it for hours and hours. started four characters and hoping this kicking moment will come soon. it didn´t happened. I would like to give this game a chance and i was looking forward for many months. But anyway: Blizzard. You did a bad job. I am disappointed.

No obvious cause, all suggested fixes attempted, only support process is leaving a forum post which is then ignored.     I’m going to be completely honest. I knew I wasted 100 bucks when I entered my first dungeon and saw a pop up that told me that there is “a wild range of content” in them. Like to be truthful I don’t want to save people from a hole filled with demons anymore. I also don’t care for fetching and playing a f****** sleep paralysis simulator by back tracking pretty much 60 percent of the timeI’m going to be completely honest.     Diablo IV is the perfect evolution of the series. The many new features make for a truly modern title, giving us an experience capable of keeping us glued to the controller for many hours, without neglecting the historical and most beloved features of the series. If we add to this a technical aspect of the highest quality, a very accessible multiplayer structure, and a huge end-game, we obtain a majestic title that stands as the best exponent of the action-RPG genre and is capable of bringing us plenty of emotions.

    Diablo IV is the culmination of everything Blizzard has set up before to make one ultimate experience. The world is stunning, drowned in a beautiful soundtrack that makes even the smallest moments feel epic. With a deep character system, satisfying combat and an endgame that feels like only the start of your adventure, it's hard not to recommend. Dig in, experiment with classes, fight some demons and loot some dungeons. You won’t regret it.
