Nov 11, 2024Death Stranding Director's Cut is a phenomenal experience that, five years on, is still as incredible, mechanically, narratively and graphically, as ever. A top-notch cast do their best with what is an admittedly bonkers story (bonkers in all the best Kojima ways, you understand), whilst this incredibly haunting world, this emotional tale and its incredible characters, absolutely hook you in for one of the most memorable journeys of the past few console cycles. It's so good to see this masterpiece finally arrive on Xbox.

Nov 18, 2024Death Stranding is a truly great game. One of those that there are few of. One of those that I would put between Nier Automata and Outer Wilds. That kind of experience that, as a player, you should never miss, because it is so different from the AAA we are used to . I would recommend it blindly, with its pros and cons, and I would even justify some of its “problems” with a psychology towards the player that really ends up getting rid of the infamous “Ludonarrative Dissonance”. Its arrival on Xbox is surprising, to say the least, because even though it had already arrived on iPhone, I think it's a game that is best enjoyed on a big screen in your living room, almost as if you were going to watch a movie (we already know how much Kojima likes movie-games).

Nov 12, 2024Odd, compelling, and ultimately engrossing, Death Stranding: Director's Cut is a genre mash-up with more than a few ideas of its own. Not quite a work of genius, it's nonetheless something that once again demonstrates the madness and brilliance of Hideo Kojima. Five years on from its original release, it's only gained in relevance.

Nov 25, 2024If you are looking for a truly unique game, with an off-the-walls story, Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be seen as a treat.

Nov 12, 2024Death Stranding in the year 2024 remains as original and unique as when it was launched in 2019, and it is a great addition to the Xbox Series catalog. Yes, in addition, it has been launched with a launch offer at the tight price of 20 euros, and on top of that, Kojima Productions has acquired all the rights to the series, which makes it clear that sooner or later the sequel will also arrive on Xbox, so icing on the cake. More players will now be able to discover this very special adventure, and an interesting franchise that will continue in the future, and with which Kojima and his team will surely surprise us again.

Nov 10, 2024Death Stranding: Director's Cut is a unique game, the product of a volcanic mind capable of creating a fascinating, visually stunning world with unique gameplay mechanics. The downside, however, is missions that become repetitive and tedious in the long run, with an obsession with extremely long and tedious dialogue. A work dominated by genius and unruliness, a true auteur game that we recommend everyone try at least once.

Dec 6, 2024There are plenty of vehement opinions about Death Stranding! While some gamers consider the game to be a pure masterpiece, others feel that you have to be completely insane to appreciate this singular experience. And yet, putting aside the repetitive nature of the missions, it is impossible not to succumb to the charm of this title, which dares to break away from all the codes of today's big videogame productions. Kojima Productions delivers a profound story with a fascinating mise-en-scène. The immense environments that can be explored add an extra dimension to the journey through a desolate America. With this Director's Cut, the Xbox community becomes the lucky beneficiary of a more accessible ultimate version. There is nothing more to say, except that we heartily recommend this veritable love letter to the tenth art!
