    Whilst Bravely Default plays the nostalgia card, it is no less (and just as) demanding. Those completely unfamiliar with this spin-off franchise from Square will be surprised by its mechanics, but will discover a game with enormous potential. Be warned, however: the game is long, its characters are rather conventional, and it occasionally suffers from an uneven pace. Nevertheless, it remains an essential classic for fans of the genre, and one we thoroughly enjoyed revisiting.
