May 6, 2024Another Crab's Treasure is one of the best games I have tried in 2024. This type of AA experience, not too long and with average quality, is something that we should value in the industry, since it is these games that offer different experiences outside the canon and mainstream. This game, which is on Xbox Game Pass, is a perfect opportunity for those who do not understand video games very well to understand why gameplay and its integration with the narrative are important, and how this union can create powerful messages to through interactivity and fun.

Feb 19, 2026It helps that Another Crab’s Treasure is also a Souls-like with a soul. The game will stick with me not only because of the finest moments from its levels or boss fights, but in how cleverly and effectively its environmental concerns are baked into the whole of the experience. By the end, I was looking into ways of reducing my waste output and microplastic exposure while reflecting on what individual human “goodness” looks like in a world ravaged by our collective impact. Not bad for a game about a crab.

Apr 28, 2024Another's Crab Treassure is much more than a parody of soulslike games. It's dynamic, fun and surprisingly complete. One of the most interesting indies of the year, which comes with a fresh sense of humour and some very interesting mechanics.

May 30, 2024I enjoyed Another Crab's Treasure more than I thought I would thanks to its tight combat, sense of variety, and hilarious use of humour.

Apr 29, 2024Another Crab’s Treasure is an outstanding game, only let down by a dodgy camera and some unfortunate scenery issues. The combat is hard but fair, capable of being tweaked to your liking, and that means exploring a vast underwater world as a small crab has never been such fun.

May 10, 2024Far from being an empty shell, Another Crab’s Treasure proves to be an attractive proposition for players wanting to discover the Soulslike genre without apprehension. The seabed, littered with rubbish, provides an ideal playground for battling powerful enemies. The slightest mistake is quickly punished, but accessibility options can be activated if the difficulty keeps drowning you. It is a direction that is likely to stump purists, as well as causing a few annoying glitches. As for the subject of ocean pollution, it remains the title’s strongest point and makes you want to pinch the last skeptics.
