Taking place in the vibrant city of Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, Afterlove EP is a unique mix of dating sim, rhythm game and narrative adventure, where players will inhabit Rama, a young musician whose girlfriend Cinta has recently passed away.

Whilst his close friends and bandmates are all determined to help him move on, Rama is languishing in his existence, dwelling on the promises he made to Cinta before they could be fulfilled. But there's one more thing keeping Rama from moving on, and that's Cinta herself, whose voice now lives inside his head.
As he explores the city with Cinta in tow, Rama's choices and interactions will lead to a variety of possible story branches, and ultimately a number of different endings.

Afterlove EP is a journey of loss and grief. En route you learn about healing, love, friendship, and rebuilding your life. This melancholy game is touching, but the tough subject matter will not resonate with every gamer.

The choices in Afterlove EP are plentiful, but it does feel at times they are a bit too superficial, and don’t have much bearing on the way the overall story is progressing. But that story is still an interesting and engaging one, and that’s what makes Afterlove EP a great narrative.

Giving an opinion on this game is complicated, probably the most difficult for me because Afterlove EP is not a conventional title. Rather, it’s more of a visual novel with small gameplay elements, such as a minigame or a world map. However, Afterlove EP is a game that won’t leave anyone indifferent you’ll either love it or hate it.
