    Im only 11 hours in and im stunned. Everything is so detailed and gorgeous. Even just riding on your horse is interesting and fun. It is far from boring. So much to do everywhere. This might change once i complete the game but im already addicted. Love this game

    The biggest problem with this game is that we won't have another one like that until at least 10 years.

    Because there is only one studio in the world capable of giving 7 years of its time and ressources to create such a perfect work of art. And this studio will first release a new GTA in 2 or 3 years. And then they'll be able to offer us a more mature project like RDR2.     The game looks absolutely gorgeous on Xbox One X.
    The animations in this litteraly made me want to chop woods, drink coffee, ride horses, hunt etc etc...

    Rockstar seems to be picking the best from every studio has to offer, you can see some of Ubisoft work, Kojima's work and many more and it's like they're giving a masterclass. They're saying through the game : "Hey students, look at how you should do things".

    How many games, in every day and age, can offer you a Solo story of a 100 hours ?
    CD Projekt said they wanted to do Something like RDR2, well I really like CDPR and it's great that they want to learn from the best because we absolutely need more projects like that.    … Expand

    El mejor modo campaña que he jugado esta generación. Empieza lento pero si le das el tiempo suficiente te atrapa hasta el final.     This has to be my greatest game of all-time. I'm what I'd consider a older gamer now, approaching my 30s, and recently, I've about given up on video games as an entertainment medium. Games constantly over-promising and under-delivering. This game is absolutely amazing, so I'm having trouble understanding peoples complaints about the game being "slow". This must be the Fortnite crowd. TheThis has to be my greatest game of all-time. This game is an incredible improvement on the original red dead redemption with an amazing story with enriching lore that houses great characters and great gameplay. The open world for you to explore is absolutely beautiful with amazing towns, cities and even swamps for you to explore. I found there to be many amazing side missions that were just as good and in some cases better than the main missions and I loved the ending to Arthur's story and the amazing lead up to the events of the original red dead redemption in the epilogue. I've finished the game logging over 90 hours after finishing both Arthur's and Jonh's stories collectively and i can proudly say this is not only rockstars best game yet but the best game on the Xbox One.… Expand

    Such an amazing experience. Thanks Rockstar. I cried when i played the game first time, and i know i'm gonna cry if i play again. It feels Arthur Morgan is not only a game character, it feels you met him looong time ago.

    No critics just awesome story awesome online I don't get why people rate the game low cause of all the long cutscenes you can skip those. There are a lot of missions story and side missions but it is because Rockstar games want the story to last a long time so people don't go through the story too quickly. in conclusion, a really good game and can't wait for Rockstar to put out GTA VI.

    RDR2 has super realistic graphic on Xbox one x smooth fps , amazing soundtrack , great story mode and multiplayer mode . I fully recommend this game to play on Xbox one X.

    It's a rockstar game so you expect perfection which in the solo campaine it certainly achieves new heights on graphics and gameplay. You know the story by now so no point telling you about it but if you haven't played this then you are certainly missing out. The online mode is just boring don't expect a gta v here, there is nothing to do apart from killing other people.

    Update nov 2019 Online is much better now, but the worst thing about this game is it makes all your other games worse. I find my self playing other games thinking this looks pants, which before rdr2 came out I wouldn't have. So some new advice if you like other games dont play this game it will make them worse than they are but you will also miss out on the best game ever made    … Expand

If you have the patience to learn the controls you completely forget this was ever an issue to start. This game is absolutely gorgeous on the Xbox one X and 4k displays, nothing rivals it.     Incredible graphic and narrative work, just a masterpiece and a must play for every console gamer. Some people have been saying it's such a boring game because it's around 65 hours of campaign but in my opinion the history never drops off.

I mean no one sucks poison out from a snake bite wound but otherwise it’s cool. The story kept winding, it’s not short. It’s the longest campaign rpg I’ve played and as impatient as I am I wanted to get to the end. I believe itAbsolutely amazing production. The story is the best and it’s well written.     This game might not be perfect but it deserves nothing short of 10 because it is definitely more than a 9 for me. The games slower pace is due to realism being prioritized more than gameplay in this game. I absolutely loved the slower pace but I agree that the gameplay could have been better.     I am genuinely angry that Fortnite got that game award over Red Dead Redemption 2. Now, I'm still only on chapter 2 however this game has been a lot of fun so far. The controls are actually pretty good with my only complaint being to match speeds you need to hold A the entire time and it isn't a toggle.     And then, after many hours of gameplay. Do this, do that, and actually just play the story line, i think is not a problem to say RDR 2 is a great game overall. Of course, there's some minor problem such like honor point, and the npc which is so aggresive. But, that's not made this game so bad.

    This game is a no brainier just buy it. Gameplay is fantastic graphics are insane and it has a beautiful masterpiece of a story pieced together by rockstar. This game in my books will be timeless and a 140+ hour game of content I hope to revisit. Although I will leave the online out of this review because if you are buying this game you shouldn't be buying it for it's online.

It has a masterful story that puts you in the shoes of Arthur Morgan and takes you on an emotional rollercoaster. You get to see how Dutch and the other remaining gang members deteriorate into the husk of their former selves that they are in the first game. It’s an awesome must-play!… Expand

    I have never loved playing through a game more. Rockstar does an absolutely incredible job bring the immersion of the west into a players mind. The game is so detailed and has one of the most heart wrenching stories I have ever played through. The voice acting is incredible, the game is visually so appealing, and there is just so many details that should be appreciated.

    Amazing graphics, awesome story telling, great gunfight. Every person who likes games with great stories should try. Every character has great motivations, even the side quests are better than so many games’ story missions. Emotional and thrilling story. No doubt one of the best games of all time.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Nunca he sido fan de RockStar, su más grande IP GTA no ha sido mucho de mi agrado salvo el mítico San Andreas. Pero este juego simplemente hace lo contrario de GTA donde vas haces y deshaces sin mayores consecuencias es un caos total.

    Como el mismo título lo dice es redención, Arthur Morgan tiene un desarrollo como persona que hasta donde recuerdo nunca vi en ningún juego de ningún genero ni siquiera en novelas gráficas, y es por lo mismo que es un juego de RockStar que no esperaba esto, la historia de cómo un hombre paga el precio de sus acciones pero se da a la tarea de proteger el futuro de sus seres queridos al ver que el mismo no tendrá oportunidad de ver un futuro para sí mismo, sin quejas ni lloriqueos asume la responsabilidad. Nunca había soltado una lagrima en un juego y nunca espere que fuera RockStar quien lo lograría.

    poco que hablar de lo demás es RockStar ellos se toman su tiempo con sus trabajos para que sean perfectos así que en gameplay, gráficos y desempeño todo es perfecto.

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is quite possibly Rockstars best game to date. It's easily one of the best looking games on console, and offers a brand new and interesting storyline with fantastic new characters, and a large open world it can be super easy to get lost in. It surely was worth all the delays it had.

It's not to difficult but the amount of depth in here is unbelievable, it never feels like your doing the same thing twice and whether you just want to be hunter, like to go exploring the massive lands of the game or interacting with strangers that have interesting stories to tell all over the map there will be something for you here. I had never been more excited for a game in my life and yet it managed to deliver in every aspect.     I really like the Red Dead Redemption concept.

    My only wish is that Rockstar didn't focus any of their time on the online mode, and instead went all out on the single-player. Also this game could've done with DLC.

    Awesome game, imprescindible in our collection. I played the One S version and it looks perfect on a 4K HDR TV. However in One X looks more better, but in One S is perfect with the reescaled 4K.

    This is , by far, the best game I have ever played. The story is great and the game is so immersive that it's hard to stop playing. The open world is so large it takes many many hours to explore it all and there's so much to do while exploring that it adds even more hours.     After 89 hours and 38 minutes I have now played Red Dead 2 through. What can I say, the game is absolute Game of the Year material for me. The story, the atmosphere, the setting, the technology and much more are simply breathtakingly good. I will now only pick up a few superficial points and start with the few negative    Red Dead Redemption 2 (Xbox One S): (Playthrough Date 26.11.18)

    After 89 hours and 38 minutes I have now played Red Dead 2 through. What can I say, the game is absolute Game of the Year material for me. The story, the atmosphere, the setting, the technology and much more are simply breathtakingly good. I will now only pick up a few superficial points and start with the few negative ones:

    - Controls: Rockstar-like, unfortunately a bit wobbly and sluggish, it could certainly be solved a little better, but overall I got along with the controls, played both first-person and third-person perspectives and had a lot of fun with both .

    - Bounties: To be honest, I don't know whether the whole thing is a bit buggy or should work like that, but often masks and the like just didn't help to avoid being investigated. Then there were moments in the game where I was frustrated by the whole bounty system and sometimes switched off the console.

    Now I can't really think of what I could criticize, so on the positive side (just a little insight):

    -Story: Very roughly, the story is simply breathtakingly staged, told, set to music, etc. Characters are simply wonderful (Sadie) and Arthur is perfectly written and presented from front to back, and the voice acting is absolutely top notch. One or the other time my eyes got wet too.

    -Gameplay: Despite sluggish controls, I had a lot of fun exchanging gunfire, looting, riding and exploring. There is a lot of collectibles to discover, which I didn't really do, but still found some Easter eggs and cigarette pictures, etc.

    -Technique: Well, let's go ahead the game is wonderful. My jaw dropped several times, be it a wonderful view over a gorge or a gloomy event in the fog. The world offers an incredible number of different and very atmospheric facets and is wonderfully thought out. I hardly had any great graphic glitches or bugs, only the horse sometimes had its own physical laws.

    All in all, I'm not surprised that I played a very good game, but it turned out to be more than that, namely a masterpiece.

    Il gioco è un assoluto capolavoro:
    -Grafica spettacolare, probabilmente la migliore che si sia mai vista in un videogioco. Sia per quanto riguarda i dettagli, sempre curati magnificamente, ma sopratutto per l'impatto generale che il gioco suscita nel videogiocatore, tramite una realizzazione strabiliante dei vari luoghi, che si diversificano in maniera sorprendente senza mai annoiare. La    Il gioco è un assoluto capolavoro:
    -Grafica spettacolare, probabilmente la migliore che si sia mai vista in un videogioco. Sia per quanto riguarda i dettagli, sempre curati magnificamente, ma sopratutto per l'impatto generale che il gioco suscita nel videogiocatore, tramite una realizzazione strabiliante dei vari luoghi, che si diversificano in maniera sorprendente senza mai annoiare. La mappa stessa è d'una vastità senza precedenti e anche dopo oltre 60 ore di gioco si continuano a scoprire nuovi luoghi. Vi sono poi numerosi easter egg, mai banali e sempre interessanti;
    -Il gameplay quasi non presenta pecche, molto completo: in un primo tempo non semplicissimo, si riesce però a comprendere e apprezzare pienamente anche solo dopo circa 5 ore di gioco;
    -La trama, per quanto semplice, e dipanandosi su oltre 50 ore (solo di main quest + missioni secondarie sempre molto interessanti) riesce a non annoiare e ad emozionare con un finale spettacolare, il tutto aiutato da una regia straordinaria;
    -Il character design è semplicemente il migliore di sempre, non solo di Arthur, sicuramente uno dei migliori protagonisti di tutti i tempi (se non il migliore, oserei dire) ma di TUTTI i personaggi, principali e secondari che siano;
    -Il comparto audio è meraviglioso, con una colonna sonora mozzafiato, mai fuori luogo e molto varia, ed effetti sonori sorprendenti;
    -Sotto certi aspetti si denota una ricerca particolare di realismo che però non è mai fastidiosa o eccessiva ma sempre al servizio del gameplay e divertente da gestire;
    Visti e analizzati questi punti principali (e ci si potrebbe dilungare per molte righe ancora) oserei definire Red Dead Redemption 2 come il gioco migliore di sempre, perfetto in ogni suo aspetto, nonostante alcuni bug tuttavia mai invalidanti.

This is not the case because in RDR2 the graphics have come as advertised and dare I say even better than what I expected. As for the environment, the environment is beautiful. Even after completing the game I tend to find myself coming back here again and again solely because of the environment. The rich towns with people who don't see like NPCs but actual people who do actual things around the towns. You can get a drink, get a haircut, go shopping, or you can just stir up a conversation with a NPC and it feels like you aren't talking to a NPC but rather someone from the age of the Wild West. The dialogue options are fun and add a whole layer to RDR2 that I felt was missing from RDR1 and GTA 5. The open forests and various outdoor things you can find are extremely detailed to perfection. Also add the fact that there are plenty of references, Easter eggs and hidden objects that add another layer to this game. The camp where Arthur stays at is also very well designed and modeled. The setting and atmosphere is the best of any video game I have ever played, seen or heard of.

    ATTENTION TO DETAIL

    Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably has the most attention to detail compared to any game available for purchase. The towns, weaponry and some of the characters have been proven to be historically accurate. Most of what you see in RDR2 is historically accurate. The characters also are accurate to the story line and I have never ever encountered a plot hole in the whole game. Every character behaves, responds and even acts in how they are written to. Also add the fact that there are various Easter eggs around camp and town that lets the player figure out more of who a character is, whether it be a main or side or even an NPC. many tend to miss this in their playthroughs and as a result miss a whole layer to the game. I suggest you play the game at a slower pace so you can really engage with the beautiful open world.

    STORY
    Where to begin. The story makes you Arthur Morgan. I say you as in the player. I felt a personal connection to Arthur that I have not felt with any character from a book, movie, tv or game. The game like the First Red Dead does a more than fantastic job at putting you inside the protagonists shoes. I felt as if I were apart of a gang in the wild west. I felt as if it were me through Arthur doing various activities in the Wild West. Doing quests, buying things, eating things, shooting things even. What a fantastic job by Rockstar and that might be the UNDERSTATMENT of the CENTURY. The game gives you a honor system so you can chose to play as a bad guy or good guy. I started off bad but as I got to know Arthur and what the story about his gang was I began to play more honorably. I definitely made the right choice. Arthur Morgan is a complex character that struggles with his inner demons. He struggles with his troubled past and will do anything for his gang and family. His loyalty to the gang is however questioned more and more as the story progresses. You can see how Arthur cares about everybody in the gang (except Micah). Arthur as the story progresses becomes a more and more complex character. You see a loser and a idiot become a father figure, brother, and in all a hero. The evolution of Arthur Morgan is why this game is so critically acclaimed. How can you write a character so well? I'm really not sure. As for the story itself, the story is extremely well complimented with the attention to detail, graphics and mechanics and more. The story is incredibly well written and it puts you on a journey that you wish would never end. We learn about several members of the gang and who they are, as we get to know them more and more they become our family. The story really picks up mid game where some of the most shocking things happen. No spoilers but there are plenty of tear jerker moments. Its fun, incredibly well written and beautiful. What more could you want. Now for the ending chapter of the story, again no spoilers. This was by far the best thing I've ever seen. No lie, it beats any MOVIE, TV SHOW, or GAME that I've ever played or seen all because of the ending. If you thought that the writing in the early chapters were phenomenal you will be blown away by how much the ending chapters outdo the already flawless beginning of the story. Arthurs character evolution comes full circle, we get to know how much more evil Dutch has become and everything goes ham to the gang. Arthur must make a decision. The ending made me cry harder than any movie ever. Thank you Rockstar for making me laugh, cry, rejoice, envy, and even making me a better person through this story.

    The creators have put so much effort in making it, there is so many small details.
    The game characters are very "realistic" if I can use this word here. For example when you are on your way to different place with other people the conversation they make is so natural that you can feel like you are in this game.

    Probably the biggest game I have ever played in my life. Everything about it is fantastic and done with great care and detail. History is engaging, the world is alive, animals and artificial intelligence is compelling. Almost perfect!

    If you are a gamer or video game enthusiast you need to know this game and enjoy everything the developer has done.

    It doesn’t matter if you are gamer, a human being, or an alien from another planet; Red Dead Redemption 2 is a title that you just can’t miss. The bar set by RDR2 is so high that even Rockstar itself will probably have a hard time raising it. One of the best releases in the history of digital entertainment.

    While it has some notable but minor flaws, it's hard to argue that Red Dead Redemption 2 is not a masterpiece. The end result of the meticulous detail, wonderful writing and stunning looks is an open world that sets a new bar for believability, and a time and place I can't stop thinking about or wanting to be a part of.
