    A "quirky" script doesn't make your game funny or fun. How about when a platform is moving and I'm stood on it, it moves me on it? That's something they got right in the original Mario but something this game fails at completely. The controls are awful, to do the boosted jump you hold A and X but it only wants to do it 10% of the time and the rest of the time you'll either just jumpA "quirky" script doesn't make your game funny or fun.     Il s'agit d'une sorte de "No man's Sky" en moins buggué (c'est pas difficile...) pas buggué du tout même (à ce qu'il m'a semblé) mais de dimensions et d'ambitions nettement plus modestes... C'est techniquement tout-à-fait présentable avec l'habituel moteur Unreal 4 assez bien maîtrisé ici, ma foi.

    Le ton et l'ambiance sont néanmoins complètement différents de l'autre daube : c'est ici en effet beaucoup moins sérieux... et davantage... voire carrément débile en fait. Il faut donc se faire à l'humour québécois, y compris avec le doublage intégralement en québécois et les tics de langage si typiques... ou atypiques pour nous en tout cas !

    On explore donc la planète, on ramasse des machins et des trucs pour fabriquer ensuite des bidules, afin de réparer le vaisseau et ainsi de suite... j'ignore s'il y a une autre planète après, car la débilité générale, les flatulences et la répétition de l'ensemble ont eu raison de ma patience. Les allers et retours incessants entre le vaisseau et les endroits de ce monde peu aisé à parcourir et d'un mauvais goût trop envahissant, l'absence de toute carte rendent l'expérience décidément trop déplaisante.

    A la fois trop limité et trop débile, il reste mieux... que le sale étron de Hello Games mais à peine... finalement.    … Expand

    Journey to the Savage Planet is a very enjoyable and satisfying space adventure, with great humour and full of surprises and crazy situations, even if a bit short. We'd love to see a sequel funded with a bigger budget.

    I enjoyed my time with Journey to the Savage Planet, not only for its simplistic gameplay and exploration of an interesting and beautiful planet, but especially for its humor. Even the way that you hold items in your left hand throughout is funny, as is every email and commercial you receive on your ship. Typhoon Studios has created something special in their very first outing as a developer, and while it may not be perfect, it sure was an interesting Journey to the Savage Planet.

    Journey to the Savage Planet is a great freshman effort from Typhoon and one of the early surprises of 2020. I will be thinking about this game as the year goes on as one of the best surprises I had literally no interest in upon kicking it off. If you enjoy exploration games like Metroid Prime I highly suggest giving it a go. The charm, humor, and game loop are just fresh enough to keep players interested in this relatively slow time for releases. The price tag also doesn’t hurt.
