    The campaign story was awful. Just ruined halo 4 and was plain boring. The dialog was so poorly written and it was such an insult to injury. The multiplayer was terribly barren at release but is great now. It just disappoints me to see halo decline so much. I will give 343 the benefit of the doubt as they have improved the game a fair bit, but it’s still jarring.

    What a masterpiece! Industry defining. Halo 5 is one of the most gorgeous and well thought out games that I have played. The missions are designed to perfection. The multiplayer is innovative and exciting. Warzone is fresh. The ost was great!

    Si no fuera por la campaña publicitaria algo "mentirosa" seria casi lo mismo, la verdad el juego me gusto pero la campaña siento que no le dieron lo nesesario para poder ser disfrutable, los graficos me gustaron la jugabilidad igual pero, el problema en si es que al jugar con otro personaje por lo menos esperas que el anterior aparesca, ya que segun estamos cazando a el master c y solo loSi no fuera por la campaña publicitaria algo "mentirosa" seria casi lo mismo, la verdad el juego me gusto pero la campaña siento que no le dieron lo nesesario para poder ser disfrutable, los graficos me gustaron la jugabilidad igual pero, el problema en si es que al jugar con otro personaje por lo menos esperas que el anterior aparesca, ya que segun estamos cazando a el master c y solo lo vemos como 4 veces en toda la campaña y y solo tienes 2/ 3 misiones con su perspectiva,lo cual si no aparece por media campaña minimo que veas a mas profundidad su lado de la moneda El multijugador por otro lado esta chulo y bello me gustaria que siguieran la misma estructuran con su clasico toque extra que le dan a cada entrega… Expand

The beauty of past halo games is that they followed the same mechanics and art style. This game abused the franchise even worse than 4 did. The art style makes the Spartans look like power rangers and the elites look like fat morons. The guns look and sound lame. That is not nostalgia talking because loads of games nowadays got great gun sounds but the crime that was perpetrated against the Battle Rifle for example is unforgivable. It looks bad and sounds horrible. Multiplayer is for try-hards and sucks the fun out of couch co-op. SPEAKING OF WHICH, WHERE IS CO-OP. YEAH THATS REALLY REALLY STUPID TO TAKE OUT OF WHAT KICKED OFF THE MULTIPLAYER FROM COMBAT EVOLVED IN THE FIRST PLACE. I really want 343 to do well but recent games have been severely lacking. The campaign is a bit short, and it's not that you don't play as the Master Chief for what feels like most of the campaign, but overall it's a blast, the story is rich, and the graphics look good. I love the hidden dialogue between NPCs and the hidden intel. My only real complaint with the campaign is there are a few cutscenes that I think should have been playable experiences. Killing Jul Mdama should have been something the player could do, and I think it would have been great to fight Master Chief when Spartan Locke finds him. How cool would that have been to fight the Master Chief?

    The multiplayer is fantastic. I love the armor abilities and the sprint function. They add so much more to the multiplayer experience that the original three games lacked. I've been playing halo since CE, and I know some of these new mechanics are not well received, but in my opinion they bring Halo to a modern audience who is looking for a more fast paced and exciting multiplayer experience.    … Expand

    Bueno sinceramente la historia esta mal pero eso no significa que es un mal juego al contrario es un excelente juego lo que mas me justa de este juego es su modo multijugador es super bueno, la jugabilidad y los graficos. Pero de halo 4 tiene mejor motor grafico

    The main issue with this game was how complicated it was! It's almost as if the writers forgot that the average Halo fan hasn't read all the expanded lore! The story wasn't very good and i didn't like the partner mechanics or that you only played as chief for half of the game. Locke and Osiris were pretty cool but i think they would've worked better in a spin-off game. The covenant civilThe main issue with this game was how complicated it was!     Campaign gets boring after an hour or two, but multiplayer is the saving grace. Custom Games are hilarious and tons of fun with friends, and matchmaking is also tons of fun. As one who has put over 200 into custom games, i can say they are the major reason I’m giving an 8. Hopefully infinite will have a more interesting campaign and small improvements to customs

    But for me, the single player campaign in Halo 5 was brilliant. Great storyline, great locations, for the most part, and some really atmospheric and haunting settings and scenes.

    Some levels were way too tiny, tho, and the end levels were dull, so that takes it down from perfect ten. Still, for anyone looking for a ace single player shooter experience, you cannot go wrong with Halo 5.    … Expand

    Seguindo a linha do Halo 4 praticamente em tudo, trocando apenas os botões dos controles, o que realmente me incomodou nesse jogo foi a dificuldade que ficou fácil demais, ao ponto de morrer só 4 ou 5 vezes no modo normal inteiro

Я прикоснулся к Легенде в первый раз где-то год назад, и то была первая часть Halo: Combat Evolved. Даже в прилизанном и облагороженном на сегодняшний день виде всё же сильно ощущается, что игра к нам пришла из далекого 2001 года. Я не из сентиментальных, и как человек, избалованный масштабными красочными мирами и новомодными сверхудобными механиками современного поколения игр, первенца Хало не воспринял и быстро бросил. Думали вникнуть по серьезному в эту серию, начиная с Halo 4 — первой, которая получила полную отечественную озвучку и которая уже более-менее вписывалась в наши игровые стандарты, однако ее как назло майки продают нынче только в составе The Master Chief Collection. Поэтому стартовали мы плотное знакомство с Halo с пятой части. Первое что приходит на ум в самом начале погружения в Guardians так это то, что человеку не знакомому с лором Halo будет не очень просто воткнуться в происходящее, контекста очевидно сильно не хватает. Это примерно как начать смотреть какой-нибудь фильм где-то с середины и в случае с Halo 5 не досмотреть его до конца, так как очевидно что грядущий Infinite будет продолжением внезапно оборвавшейся истории Guardians. В любом случае с чистого листа происходящие в Halo 5 события не оставили равнодушным. Катсцены в игре отлично срежиссированы и впечатляюще смотрятся, яркие харизматичные персонажи, сыгранные реальными актерами и нарисованные ребятами из 343 Industries вызывают неподдельный интерес. Играем мы поочередно за лидеров Синей и Желтой команды спартанцев Джеймсона Локка и соответственно за главную легенду серии Мастера Чифа с видом от первого лица. Посмотреть в Halo 5 есть на что ибо миры и обстановка, в которых мы побываем реализованы отлично, голова кругом идёт от глубоких и насыщенных космических просторов и неведомых планет. К механикам движения, стрельбы наших спартанцев также никаких претензий нет, всё ощущается плавно, и нацелено на то, чтобы расслабиться и кайфовать от происходящего. Хотя моей благоверной хотелось чуть большей подвижности персонажа. Как мне кажется некая небольшая неуклюжесть наших спартанцев связана с нехилой такой броней, которую они на себе носят. Впрочем, я не ощущал недостатка в движении + для толчка у нас присутствует небольшое реактивное ускорение с места. Очень порадовал оружейный арсенал, сделанный в футуристическом ключе в самых причудливых и замысловатых формах. Честное слово даже и сравнить не с чем, очень круто всё выглядит и почти всё хорошо ощущается.… Expand

    Great game, amazing music and fantastic gameplay. Graphics are amazing, but I have to say I played it on xbox one X.
    At the begining I was a bit disappointed with all the new features, I was expecting a bit more traditional halo, after 1h I loved the new mechanics.
    I really don't get why such amazing games like halo 5 or gears 5 get so much hate on the reviews.

    Bad story for a casual unless you know about the Halo lore and if you do then it's actually good. Gameplay is good, multiplayer is good. Don't like the engine they used to make Halo 5. The old modified blame engine is one of the best. Graphics are good but bad at the same time. Looks like HD plastic.

    The campaign is underrated in my opinion, no it's not the best story in the series, but not bad. But the level design, and environments are great!
    Multiplayer on the other hand is overrated, Warzone modes are fun, but not anything amazing, and the multiplayer map design is not very good. Also, Multiplayer has constant framerate issues and looks much worse than the campaign

    Halo 5 is by far the worst HALO experience, but that doesn't mean that is a baed game. It gives you the best multiplayer HALO experience with amazing graphics. Unfortunately the story is not great as well as some NPC, but if you enjoy HALO franchise games, it deserves a place in your collection.

    It may be an unpopular opinion but I actually love this game's story. & imo it also has the best mult-player of any modern FPS game including MCC. I think people are too hard on this game.

    La jugabilidad y variedad de armas, movimientos, vehículos, multijugador son excelentes. La banda sonora es buena y en la parte de la historia si bien tiene una buena duración, se alejó un poco de la esencia del canon principal y no me agradó del todo.

    The history continues very good, we have a new enemy, (the eternal warden), a enemy worthy of the master chief, a lot of plot twist very good, a short game if you play in the normal difficulty you can end it in 1 day, but is an amazing game

    Não gostei da campanha, na minha opinião a pior até agora, focaram muito no agente Locke e pouco no Master Chief, sim é legal eles terem adicionado um outro protagonista mas não gostei como deixaram o Chief de lado, uma coisa que gostei foi a volta do Árbitro.     So I definitely don’t hate this one like everyone else seems to! But I don’t really like it a lot either.. the positives are pretty obvious, the visuals are gorgeous still & the score is still good, Halo never slacks in that department, although it is the least audibly interesting of the series in my opinion. The gameplay changes are something I’m torn on.. I like fast paced shooters, DoomSo I definitely don’t hate this one like everyone else seems to! The gameplay changes are something I’m torn on.. I like fast paced shooters, Doom & Wolfenstein are what got me into the FPS genre after all, but Halo never was a hyper fast shooter. There was always breathing room in fights & yeah you could say it’s been on this trajectory steadily with each game but idk, seems like they went all in on this fast paced upgrade to the shooting. I played all 5 main Halo games back to back so maybe I’m just getting whiplash from that, but the controls are changed almost entirely from previous entries & despite there being an option for the Halo 4 control scheme (which was already different from the trilogy, this new scheme is similar to it but not entirely the same) It was a big adjustment to say the least. It was a very fun experience don’t get me wrong, I had more fun playing Halo 5 then I did Halo 1 & 4 but at least those had more interesting stories to go alongside the slower and “tougher” gameplay. But fast paced shooting isn’t what I come to Halo for, which is one of the most disappointing aspects of Halo 5 for me. A problem I had with Halo 4 was a feeling of genericness which PERMEATES Halo 5 to its core, it feels more like every other futuristic shooter on the market right now (& in 2015 when it came out) & that’s not a good thing. Halo is a unique IP and I wish they didn’t try to conform to the norms despite some quality of life improvements. I appreciate how they tried to integrate Halo 5 into the series at large, something Halo 4 tried too hard to stray from in my opinion. Although they definitely nostalgia pandered at times, it’s an effort nonetheless. Any additional screen time for the Arbiter is welcome in this house. The story was decent (better than what i was expecting based off internet reactions) but took too long to get into motion & I struggle to remember anybody from the main squad you play 85% of the game as. Especially Locke, what a boring hollow shell of a character. Buck was memorable only because he’s just Nathan Fillion playing himself. Can’t remember the others. Master Chief steals the show as always and a certain AI returns with admittedly “I've seen this before” motives, but it was still cool to have them back. Speaking of the Chief, which “genius” at 343 thought it would be a good idea to unfairly split the game up 85/15 for the characters? And not make the team you play as interesting? Chief had like 3 missions in the 15 chapter campaign. THREE. Somebody needs to be fired for that. Some of the chapters are barely chapters too.. on 3 instances you walk back & forth talking to people then the chapter ends when you proceed. I hate hate HATE games that do this & count them towards the chapter list to further pad the game, Halo 4 having its prologue & epilogue as their own chapters was stupid as hell too but Halo 5 shouldn’t have continued that trend. Overall, Halo 5 is a fun time if you like FPS games, but if you’re a fan of the franchise you’ll end up disappointed, a trend I’m not enjoying with the 343 Halo games so far. Hopefully Infinite ends the new trilogy on a high note.… Expand

Sem dúvidas um dos Halos mais fracos quando se fala de história, destrói tudo que foi construído no 4, parece que se arrependeram da morte da Cortana e deram uma desculpa esfarrapada para sua volta, além de ter a personalidade totalmente diferente da Cortana carinhosa e caridosa do 4. É legal ver um pouco da Blue Team, mas a outra (eu realmente não lembro o nome) MEU DEUS... só gente chata, o Buck carrega aquela galera toda nas costas, e dividir o protagonismo do Chief com o Locke é a coisa mais tosca que eu já vi, personagem totalmente sem carisma e CHATO...
    MAS nem tudo é ruim, a gameplay é muito fluída e fácil de de jogar, e isso realmente é um ponto positivo, no entanto a 343 teve que sacrificar um de seus maiores diferenciais fazendo com que seu jogo se torne mais um COD futurista.    … Expand

    It was good. It was a big gamble to not have Master Chief as the only protagonist in the game and over all I think that was a mistake. I truly believe that had this game been named anything else, like Halo 3:ODST was, then it would have been better received. With that being said, gameplay was good and graphics were as well.

    I had the chance to replay this with The Master Chief collection, right before Halo Infinite comes out. Quickly, I can say that the story could of been better, but it was not a TREMENDOUS turn-off. It had it's moments, but these moments weren't anything to remember compared to previous Halo stories. Graphically, it looks phenomenal, even though I'm not a big fan of how the new SpartanI had the chance to replay this with The Master Chief collection, right before Halo Infinite comes out.     The most fun I had with Halo 5 was in it's multiplayer, where the addition of advanced movement really sets it apart from the last Halo game. Considered to be a drastic change to some Halo veterans, I think it was a great idea to move the gameplay forward with this new addition. It didn't hinder the way a traditional Halo played, other than at times I would get frustrated in how WELL people used those advanced movements to their advantage.

    I'm hopeful that people will still continue to play this game after Halo Infinite releases, since it really is it's own unique experience in the Halo universe.    … Expand

La campaña lo único que le puedo criticar es que la consideré un poco corta, aunque quizás eso sea relativo porque el tiempo voló cuando jugaba. Ahora bien, la mecánica del juego tuvo un salto abismal con relación a la haloMe encantó el juego hace poco más de dos semanas fue que lo jugué ya que decidí acabar todas los títulos de la saga para tener una visión completa para halo infinite. It isn’t worth it. It’s not fun, and the story is melodramatic garbage with horrible writing and characters. The plot is messy and makes Attack of The Clones look like Citizen Kane. However, the multiplayer is quite possibly one of the best shooter experiences you can have, with tight gunplay, beautiful graphics and smooth movement. The movement allows you to move in so many ways and adds a separate layer of strategy and thought. BUT, the war zone mode is blatantly pay to win and requires you to open loot boxes in order to gain vehicles, guns, etc. Thankfully, the loot boxes can be earned through gameplay, but it takes a while. This game is the the epitome of C+ as a grade, with Lack luster customization, awful story, great core gameplay, and a amazing multiplayer.

    This could’ve been one of the best, but if the story was better, and those pesky loot boxes were removed, it would be an 8-9.

Making me feel like im playing the old original halos. But the reward card system is crap, giving you lame rewards for your work. Also the multiplayer is very dry with only 3 gamemodes to play from. In the end halo 5 is not worth the 60 bucks it asked for at launch, but lucky theres gamepass so.… Expand

The multiplayer's content was abysmal at launch and only was in acceptable state post-launch. The campaign was horrible in every way, it's funny how HaloThis game is like alright.     The narrative is the weakest the series has ever seen. It felt all over the place and the sense of urgency and seriousness it was trying to transmit to the player fell flat on its head. The designs of some of the characters are very bad, particularly on the Elite enemies, who look extremely bulky, instead of the slick appearance they used to have, and on one of your companions throughout the story whose armor coating looks like bubble gum. The companions were all forgettable and it continues the trend of the player having to rely on outside material to fully grasp what's going on and who certain characters are. The dialogue is also tedious to sit through.

    By far, the most disappointing Halo experience that, if it weren't for its gameplay and graphics would have been a tedious drag. It feels like all the creativity from Halo 4 was somehow lost and traded for a more generic action movie plot.    … Expand

    O jogo é lindo, seu multijogador é inovador e muito divertido, o modo Fornalha é o mais completo da franquia, o grande problema são as microtransações e a campanha, que apesar de não ser ruim, é uma campanha bem abaixo dos níveis da série

    Não ouve nenhuma melhoria do halo 4 para halo 5, a franquia parece estar totalmente esquecida, deveria ser dado na mão de empresas como nintendo, sony pois não há impacto ou novidades na série do game.

    the story while entreteining kinda trash but this is the best multiplayer by far. The forge in this game is amazing, The modes the people have made and the creative freedom the game lets you do make this game the most fun in my opinion

    While the multiplayer is as great as ever, the single player is aggravatingly lazy and uninspired.

    The game is decent. With a story campaign that mostly revolves around Locke, Master Chief becomes less relevant.. In all of the past games, besides ODST and Reach, the story revolves around Chief. The gunplay feels okay, but they don't feel beefy and strong like the guns in previous games.

    I fell in love with the multiplayer, but even that is flawed. The game has yet to see a proper PC release, and the existing one doesn't work as of 2019. From microtransactions to a flawed storyline. Halo 5 failed in so many regards, despite me sinking hundreds of hours into it. I miss old Halo, and I genuinely didn't think I would be saying that because of Halo Infinite, but even thatI fell in love with the multiplayer, but even that is flawed.     This game is quite a disappointment, I went back to it years later and it made the experience feel worse. The game has such a boring story and I hate that you always have to get revived by the 3 bots that approach ever so slowly to revive you, the player can't decide what pace they want to go at and overall makes the gameplay slow and frustrating.     Halo 5: Guardians is okay. Its campaign is rubbish, but the multiplayer is solid thanks to the foundation it’s built upon. Warzone is a really enjoyable experience, and while combat is still mostly about tossing grenades and hitting the melee button, the whole Requisition gimmick adds some much-needed flavor to proceedings.

    The latest Halo is a big deal only for hardcore Halo fans. For me the single player campaign was unbearably pompous and despite 1080p and 60 fps the visuals are not as breathtaking as they once were in Halo 4. The game builds a solid foundation for Halo 6, but it’s not one of those games you absolutely have to play. [13/2015, p.48]

    With a more accessible and engaging story and solid new designs for the Prometheans, Halo 5 is a major improvement over Halo 4. Warzone is a great addition to the multiplayer, though the mode seems to have some game balance issues. [Nov 2015]
