FUN!!!!!!... for about 5 minutes. Those are the words I would use if I were reviewing this game in 5 words or less. When you first turn the game on you're greeted by essentially what the game is. Fun and cheesy music on repeat. You can then turn the game off because you have experienced it.

Goat Simulator is nothing but a huge bug, and it's really worth checking out. I mean you're a goat you can do crazy things. Like ride bikes, go to space, fly a jet pack, and so many other things that it would be almost impossible to name them all. I like to compare this game to "The Room" it's awful, it makes no sense, but you can't look away. This goat themed parody of simulation games has some pretty crazy stuff going on in it. You've got two decently sized maps to go around and cause mayhem in. Things blow up and your goat looks crazy. Various amusements are scattered throughout and it's even got co-op. However none of that changes the biggest issue, and that's a lack of staying power.

Once you've seen everything there is to do there isn't a reason to come back. To make matters worse you can see everything pretty quickly. The more elaborate gags in the game require you to stumble onto them by yourself. You're efforts are rewarded with achievements and some crazy powers for your goat, but it all raises one question. Why bother? The game isn't good to being with.

Once you get past the initial amusement factor (which happens quickly) finding the games funniest moments and pulling off the bigger stunts for rewards just ends up being a chore. Bad controls and glitches don't help the already subpar gameplay. One could argue that the glitches in the game are intentional. Even if that is true that doesn't excuse the fact that they still screw you over from time to time.

Goat Simulator is all one big joke. There are some amusements scattered throughout, but they don't make it a good game. The relatively small amount of content barely justify the $10 price tag. It's an occasionally amusing and very flawed game. One that might bring a few laughs playing with some friends, but ultimately will be passed up in favor of better options. Truth be told, you're better off watching gameplay videos on Youtube. That way you get to experience the funny parts without having to experience the dull and glitch gameplay.

Putting all the jokes aside, I don't really understand why Coffee Stain Studios even bothered porting this game to the Xbox One.

Games like this are better off staying on PC. It ruins the fun when everyone I know can buy and play this game, since I am usually the one to talk about weird games like this. Apart from that, game gets boring in ten minutes top, hence why I think that this

Half the reason I created this account was for responding to what @Vyrotix said. How in the hell does it make a game less fun by being brought to console for a wider range of people to enjoy? You're basically saying you find joy in other people being denied the right to play a game and you don't want to be able to share the fun/funny moments you both had playing the game. You're basically saying you find joy in other people being denied the right to play a game and you don't want to be able to share the fun/funny moments you both had playing the game. That is just completely ridiculous, childish, and high school. You must be one of those people that brag about "Oh yeah, I was playing/I liked/I saw/I listened to "X" before it/they was/where before it/they were popular. Can you not stand other people having fun with something that you had fun with? So stupid. The more people that are able to enjoy a game, the better. Anyway, now that I got that out of my system I'm going to be buying this game tonight. I want something a little different, and I need another co-op game. Diablo is usually my go to, but I need something to shake things up a little bit and this seems like the ticket, especially at that price tag. I'm going to give it a 7 for now because that is what the average user score is at right now. Expand

I notice a lot of the negative reviews are coming from people who expected something "Goat Simulator" was never meant to be which isn't really fair. First step to appreciating what "Goat Simulator" has to offer is to know going in that it's far from a traditional, polished game. There's no story, no quests, no enemies to fight, you can't die or kill anyone; it is basically a physics engine sandbox for the player (a goat) to goof about and knock stuff around in; that's it. It's absolutely riddled with bugs and glitches, but believe it or not, that's exactly what the devs intended; it's meant to be silly and absurd, and head-butting a car causing it to explode sending your goat flying through the air only to become lodged in a wall is only a taste of how silly and absurd "Goat Simulator" can be.

That being said, it's perfect for those times when I want to play something, but nothing that requires too much thought or effort. If I wanted a quick snack and "AAA" gaming was a grade-A ribeye steak, "Goat Simulator" would be the snack-pack of Doritos you’d put in a grade school kid’s packed lunch. It's fun, dumb, consequence free and chock-full with just enough little easter eggs, pop culture references and collectibles to keep it an interesting and worthy diversion. I'll admit, I'm biased because I picked this game up during the period is was free off of Xbox Live; had I have paid the $10 retail for it expecting anything more than what it is, I'd have probably not have been so pleased, but I wouldn't score it any lower. Stupid, quick and easy fun.

O jogo é divertido. Tem muito bugs, mas muitos. Mas chega a ser engraçado. Foi muito bom para caçar conquistas também.

I appreciate the developers' commitment to a gag, and as a piece of conceptual comedy Goat Simulator has few competitors in the world of video games. Still, when there's not a huge difference between playing the game and watching compilation clips of it online, potential buyers must ask themselves whether it's really worth ten dollars for the opportunity to feel buyer's remorse soon after.

Goat Simulator is a great time for the first few hours when you're seeing everything for the first time, but once you've seen everything, there's no reason to keep playing.
